So, I'm taking my Land Cruiser camping today. I'm really enjoying this journey of getting to know
this car which I bought just three months ago, and I have to say I really enjoy driving it.
Love how robust the engine is, love how the car drives, although I do feel the handling
could be better. The previous owner had done a 4-inch lift, and because of that I'm currently
experiencing some pretty serious body roll, which basically means the swaying of the car
from side to side, which may not be entirely safe. So, I'm hoping to sort out the lift and
suspension system real soon. Other than that, I am loving every bit of this Land Cruiser.
It's such a mean machine. So far, I've only driven on tarmac and gravels, but once I gain
more confidence, I'll start taking it off-road. We are here. You know what? I'm not here alone.
Yay! Hi, Kak Mas! So, here's Kak Mas setting up her tent just by the river.
This is Di Kelulut campsite in Batangsi Semeneh. It's my first time here, so let's look for a
suitable spot to park the car. I'm gonna try to set up this flysheet above my car and open up
to the back. It's been a long time since I last set up a flysheet. Let's hope I remember how to
do it. It's really hot. Time to use this Nitecore neck fan.
Those are our orang-asli friends. I wonder what they're fishing.
Paying Kak Mas' home a visit. Yeah, that's me. I'm not too far away.
That's the river. It's getting dark and the moon is up.
For a little bit of privacy.
Good morning. Good sleep last night. Beautiful morning today and I'm gonna
head on over to Kak Mas' tent, say good morning and then we are going for a short hike.
Kak Mas, good morning.
Wow, nice view. Pretty cozy here as well with a little kitty. So we're heading somewhere there
for a short hike. Well, actually we don't know how short the hike is or how difficult or how easy
the hike is but I think it's quite accessible. It's a little bit of an uphill. Yeah, supposed
to have a pretty nice view up there. Okay, hiking squad ready. I've got Dora the explorer with me.
Good morning. This is the river and that's our camp spot. That's Kak Mas, that's me
and we're heading in this direction. Wow, Land Rover. 7 30 in the morning, the air is fresh
and the mind is fresh and the body is fresh. The sound of the birds and unfortunately the sound of
the grass cutter. Oh wow, look at that. The sun is just about to come up and this is our campsite.
Look at the flowers. Is this cucumber? No, I don't think it's cucumber. It's some sort of melon
or some sort of gourd. Ah, this is a kerlulut farm. I think this is where they cultivate
kerlulut. Kerlulut is a different kind of species of bee. They also produce a kind of honey.
Oh, the kerlulut are out. Okay, thank you bhai. Okay, so bhaiya said to go to the peak
as this way. Sikit-sikit saja. 2-3 kilometer. 2-3 kilometer? Itu bukan sikit-sikit bhai.
Itu banyak-banyak.
Morning exercise. My motivation would be coffee. Coffee at the top. Yes, come on, coffee.
Project Tanaman Julian. Oh, beautiful. I am ready for coffee. Okay, thank you.
Our Malaysian favorite, kardinia roti sambal ikan bilis. One for you and one for me.
From the campsite all the way up here, we think this is the viewpoint. Based on our estimation,
it's probably one kilometer. Just one kilometer or even less. Oh yeah, you just need half an hour.
And then you'll get this view. And I don't know if we are trespassing but
these are actually small little durian trees. Having coffee and breakfast amongst the durian
trees. Time to go. And don't forget to leave no trace. Take your rubbish with you. Look at this
Land Rover Series, I don't know, Series 1 I think. Probably from the 1950s. Okay, back at camp.
Hello cruiser. We're going for a dip. So this is what the locals call Batu Kelambai.
And it's supposed to mean a giant footprint, I think. So this is possibly quite deep.
Interesting.
A heart-shaped rock.
It's always good to be able to do some grounding
to balance out the energy in our body. Thank you nature. Isn't this a five-star breakfast?
So guys, guess what? I'm in a little bit of a situation here. My camera which I've been using
for all the filming, my Sony ZV-E10, it fell. It fell and hit a rock. Yeah, look at the lens.
I am devastated and heartbroken but not gonna think about it now. I'm just gonna
put it back into the camera bag and enjoy whatever time I have left over here. And it's
approaching noon, it's getting hot. So I guess it's time to slowly, slowly pack up and go home.
So it is time to tidy up, pack up and go home. So since I am camera-less now, I mean
except for this one, this is my smartphone. But yeah, since I'm camera-less now, I guess
I'll end the video here. I hope you've enjoyed the video and well, apart from the camera incident,
I have enjoyed myself thoroughly here. I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in the next one.
Bye-bye.
