我第一次嘗試只用白色鉛筆畫畫!/I Tried to DRAW ONLY with WHITE PENCIL for the FIRST TIME!
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel.
In today's video, I would like to try something new,
something I haven't tried before,
which is drawing with a white pencil on a black paper.
I actually decided to make this video because
many of you keep asking me if I use the white pencil
to create highlights in my realistic drawings,
and I don't.
I use a pencil eraser,
which is just a simple eraser put in a pencil form,
so it's much easier to erase details with it.
And yeah, that's it.
I hope you guys will enjoy this video,
and I'm really curious about the results,
so let's try it.
I'm going to use a black paper
and an ordinary white colored pencil.
I decided to draw a female face, surprisingly.
Partly according to a reference,
I used about five photos of different faces
for an inspiration,
and I drew this one.
The rest of the drawing will be from imagination.
I was wondering what it will be like
to draw with a colored pencil,
I mean the sketch,
as I'm used to draw with graphite pencils only.
I made some very light guidelines.
Hopefully, I will be able to erase it.
I tried it before in the corner of the paper,
and it worked,
so we'll see.
It feels a little bit like a chalk on a blackboard.
It also produces much more of the material,
more of the colored and the graphite pencils,
I think even the softest ones,
but the process is not that different.
I was wondering if it's not confusing
to draw the outlines and the darkest parts
with white pencil
creating the lightest places of the paper.
But it was not at all.
The process was quite the same
as I would draw with the graphite pencils,
so it was okay.
The shading part was a little problem for me
because I love soft and smooth shading.
Firstly,I couldn't find a black paper
with smooth surface,
and I always love to pick up the smoothest paper.
And then I wasn't able to blend the soft light shading
because it blended the shading almost away,
so I decided to shade it a little bit,
only the darkest part,
and leave it without blending.
I was trying it also with my fingers,
which I do not recommend in graphite drawings,
but I thought the fingerprints
wouldn't be visible on the black paper,
and it won't be damaged
with the oils coming from the skin.
I also drew a little darker
and thicker outlines than usually
because I wanted you to see it.
And also,
when I pushed the pencil against the paper,
it produced more of the color
and just ended up this thick.
And I think it's okay.
I mean,I don't like the outlines
only in the realistic drawings
because it could damage the realistic results
of the drawing,
but in the sketches it's okay.
I actually like it.
My idea of the hairstyle
was something like a messy bun,
and when I drew it,
I didn't quite like it,
so then I decided to change the hairstyle
because I was wearing the messy low bun,
a lower bun,
when I went for a lunch,
and I liked it,
so I decided to add it to my drawing,
and I think it's quite fun
to get inspired like this.
By the way,
it was not so easy
to erase some of the lines
with a regular soft eraser,
as you can see,
so I had to use the one
for erasing ink and ballpoint pen,
and fortunately,
it worked better.
It was also hard for me
to draw the little messy hair darker,
I mean whiter,
because when I pushed the pencil,
it produced so much color,
and it was hard to draw thin lines,
so I had to sharpen it all the time.
Also I would like to remind that
if you like to learn to draw with me
or you want to just support my work,
I have a Patreon account
where I share the real-time versions
of my videos and more tips
and some more tutorials
and exclusive content
that I usually don't share
on my social media.
It's also a way to support my work
and to support,
to make the content here on YouTube
or my Instagram account possible,
so I would be really glad
if you consider becoming my patron.
I really appreciate all of your support,
even watching this video.
You're amazing,
so thank you.
I wanted the sketch to look a little dreamy,
like daydreaming during the sunny day,
and today it was a very beautiful sunny day,
just for lying on the grass in the sunlight
among the wildflowers,
great for daydreaming,
so I wanted to create this kind of mood,
and I also created some flowers,
which I don't even know they exist,
maybe they do,
if you do recognize them,
please let me know in the comments,
I would really love to know,
and I wanted to create some tiny white flowers,
I love these meadow flowers,
because somehow they remind me of little stars
reflected from the sky and the grass.
So that's it,
that's the first try of sketching with white pencil,
and I think it was quite fun,
I actually like it,
I like how the sketch ended up,
how it feels like,
I mean the white gradual shading on the black paper,
I think it looks very soft in the end,
so I hope you guys like it,
let me know if you like to sketch with colored pencils as well,
if you did like the video,
please give it a thumbs up,
also share it with your friends,
and make sure to subscribe to my channel,
because many new videos are coming soon,
see you next time.
