In today's episode, let's take a look at the story on the page of Chánh Kiến.org
so that we can reflect on your sincerity.
When I organized a seminar on the topic of how to open and use the right brain
at a university, I gave a simple question to the young students who participated,
that is, which type of person is the most attractive?
Most of the students wrote down the answers that they thought were correct.
In short, they said that the three types of people below are the most attractive.
First, men who respect beautiful women.
Second, the rich have a wealth of property.
Third, government officials have the right to have it.
After writing all three answers on the board, I smiled and told them.
Your answers are partly correct.
But if these three types of people, in terms of appearance and style,
are military noblemen, talkative, not talkative,
do you still think he or she is attractive?
All the students in the hall were silent after hearing me say that.
I went on. I think the three types of people below are the most attractive.
First, people who respect the integrity of men,
who are sincere to others.
Second, people who are generous and generous.
Third, people who are generous and generous.
The students applauded like crazy.
Although there was one student who was so arrogant,
how sincere was he?
But his question displeased everyone.
I told the students a short story about the preciousness of sincerity.
The story goes like this.
One afternoon, there were four people who came to a deserted dock.
One was a rich man, one was an officer,
one was a martial artist, and one was a poet.
They asked the old man to take them across the river.
The old man said,
Each of you, please tell me about your identity.
I will take you across the river.
The rich man took out the silver coins and said,
I have a lot of money.
The officer replied,
If you take me across the river, I can let you be an officer.
The martial artist raised his sword and said,
If you don't take me across the river,
I can use the sword to slash you.
After hearing this, the man turned to ask the poet,
What is your identity?
The poet replied,
Oh, I have nothing.
But if I don't come home soon,
my wife and children at home will be very worried.
Get on the boat.
The officer shook his hand to the poet and said,
You have shown your identity.
This is the most precious property.
After the poet got on the boat, he still had a little doubt.
Mr. Lao, please let me know the answer.
Mr. Lao boarded the boat and said,
His long breath,
the worry on his face
is his best performance.
His expression of his sincerity
is the most precious thing in four people.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
Although sincerity cannot use silver coins to pay,
sincerity in the soul
is the most precious foundation of human nature.
To be sincere to everyone,
to keep the meaning is the foundation of the person.
To be loyal to others,
to be sincere, to keep faith
will help you gain more trust,
understand others more,
receive more support and cooperation,
and have more chances to succeed.
If there is no sincerity,
there is no friendship.
To be sincere is like a spring breeze
or the feeling of meeting an old friend.
Beauty, money, power,
power is not an instinct.
Stand before sincerity,
they will all become dull
and have no life.
Therefore, sincerity is the most precious thing in this life,
isn't it, ladies and gentlemen?
Buddha said that
the most meaningful thing in human life
is to return,
return to the original pure nature of each person,
and that sincerity,
kindness, kindness is the source of good things.
Only kindness can forgive
others' mistakes.
Only kindness can do good things
for others.
Only kindness can do good things
for others.
And that is also the principle of
the Buddha's spiritual training
that hundreds of millions of people around the world
have been raised morally,
become better, stronger
and contribute to a more effective society.
The students said that
the teachings help students
have a peaceful mind,
let go of hateful thoughts,
tension, worry and empathy.
The teachings of the Dharma
help to open the mind,
purify the body and open the wisdom.
The teachings of the Dharma
help to open the energy
and achieve a peaceful mind.
Although there are still misunderstandings
about the practice,
and there is still a place to oppress
those who practice according to virtue,
but we believe that
the truth will be clear soon
and those who benefit from this Dharma
will protect the righteous
and the virtuous.
