Hey y'all! Welcome back to Make It Dairy Free. Happy new year!
This is 2020. I just wanted to make that joke.
We are super excited to have you join us for a second year of
all brand new content and we are going to get started with a super fun video
for you. So a lot of you guys have asked for
more breakfast, more meal planning type of recipes,
more things that are on the go and so that is exactly what we're kicking off
this new year with. We are bringing you not one,
not two, not even three, but five smoothie ideas that are perfect for
on the go, after workouts, after school, and of course
they're great for breakfast. And oh yeah since there are five of these that means
that there is one for every day of your work or school week
which saves you so much time and money on your budget so you don't
have to eat out when you're on the go. Normally these only take about five
minutes to prep but when you prep them for the week like we did in these
containers they go even faster. They are so easy to do that even your
kids can make them and so let's get right to it and show
you how to make these and start your new year off
the right way. All right so first up we have our blueberry coconut smoothie.
We're going to start with some full fat coconut milk and flaxseed,
in with our rolled oats to help it make it super filling,
some shredded coconut, cashews, and then in with our frozen blueberries
and our banana. You're going to put the lid on to
your blender and then blend it until it's nice and smooth and creamy.
This one is super thick so if you would like it thinner you can always use
carton coconut milk instead. Next up is our tropical smoothie.
We are combining again coconut milk in this one.
We're using carton here but you could use full fat, some maple syrup,
cashews, then in with our pineapple and some strawberries. And then we're
going to finish this up with a frozen banana. You can definitely
add some other tropical fruits in here if you want like a papaya or a mango
and then just blend it until it's nice and smooth and creamy again.
If you're taking this to work with you make sure you put a lid on it and take
it to go. Next up we have our kale green smoothie.
This one we are going to start off with some
coconut water and then we are going to go straight in with some rolled oats,
then some chia seeds, and then follow that up with
a fresh orange or you could also use orange juice and some
kale. Then we're going to top that off with a frozen banana
and some agave. Blend it up just like we did the other ones. In our house our kids
like to call this one the grinch smoothie and we are happy to oblige as
long as they are getting those greens in.
Next up we have our mango avocado smoothie. This one is loaded with healthy
proteins and we are going to start with some dairy-free milk,
add in some cashews, go in with some chia seeds for some healthy omega-3s,
and then add in our kale avocado and then top that off with some frozen
mango cubes. Add your lid and blend. What's great about this one is that the
avocado makes this one super creamy and it's also loaded with really healthy
fats. Next up we have our triple berry smoothie.
This is the favorite one in our house. We're going to start with some
dairy-free milk and then add in some maple syrup.
Next up we are going to go in with some cashews and then we're going to add our
berries. We're doing strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries but you
could get fancy and add in some blackberries too if you wanted to make
it four and then add in your banana and blend it
together. This smoothie comes out a super fun purple color but if you take
this with you somewhere like work then it may turn a little dull but it's
still just as fun and just as nutritious as it was to start.
