Hello everyone!
Vietnam has more than 3,000 small and big islands.
Some of them are very small,
sometimes just a small islet.
But there are also many islands with large areas,
with a large population,
and of course very developed in tourism.
The biggest one, probably many people know,
is Phu Quoc Island,
the top tourist destination in Vietnam now.
Funnily enough, Phu Quoc No. 2,
no one is No. 1.
But after Phu Quoc,
Phu Quoc may be the names that make you very surprised.
Let's find out with that information channel
in today's clip.
Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc, also known as Ngoc Island,
is the largest island in Vietnam.
It is also the largest island
among more than 22 islands here,
located in Thailand.
Phu Quoc Island, along with other islands,
created the Phu Quoc Island City,
located in Kien Giang province.
In 2021, Phu Quoc officially became
the first island city of Vietnam.
Phu Quoc City was established
on the basis of the total population
of nearly 180,000 people of Phu Quoc District.
According to official information from Phu Quoc City,
the area of the island is
573 square kilometers,
50 kilometers in length,
the largest place in the north is 25 kilometers.
Phu Quoc is located 120 kilometers
from Rach Gia City
and 45 kilometers from Ha Tien City.
In 2006,
the residence of the Vietnamese people
and the island of Kien Giang,
including this whole district,
was recognized by UNESCO
as a World Heritage Site.
Phu Quoc has long been
a famous tourist destination
for both domestic and international tourists.
When tourism reopened in early 2022,
you must have seen how many tourists
came to Phu Quoc.
During the 9 days of Tet,
from January 29 to February 6,
Phu Quoc welcomed more than 120,000 tourists,
including more than 83,000 passengers
by plane, double the number of passengers by ship.
If you ask anyone who goes on a trip
during this period,
the answer is Phu Quoc.
This is a place with an international airport
and is the only island that meets
4 visa-free conditions for foreigners.
These conditions include
an international airport,
a separate space,
a designated geographical border,
a separation from the mainland,
in line with the policy of social economic development,
not harming the national defense,
national security, order,
and social security of Vietnam.
Over the years, Phu Quoc has developed
in a very exciting way.
This is the leading place
to attract investment with 321 projects
worth more than 340 billion VND.
In Phu Quoc,
there are many luxurious resorts,
bars and coffee shops
along the southern coastline.
Thanks to the natural conditions
and the great nature,
with a mild climate,
Phu Quoc is gradually becoming
the new paradise of tourism in the world,
attracting investors from all over the world.
The real estate in Phu Quoc
is extremely good.
The latest CNN media company
has chosen Phu Quoc
as one of the best destinations in Asia.
Phu Quoc is estimated to develop
significantly,
even more than Phuket in Thailand
and Bali in Indonesia.
This is likely to become
the largest tourist development island
in Southeast Asia.
Previously, every year,
Phu Quoc welcomed about 2-3 million tourists.
But when the epidemic recovers
and tourism returns to normal,
it is likely that Phu Quoc
will be even more explosive in tourism.
2. Cai Bau Island
After Phu Quoc,
probably not everyone knows
The second place in this list
belongs to Cai Bau Island,
an island located in Vân Đồn Island
and is the largest island here.
Vân Đồn is also a large island.
This island has more than 600 islands
with a natural area of
about 551 square kilometers.
The largest of which is Cai Bau Island
and another island
that we will find out right behind.
Cai Bau Island has an area
of about 172 square kilometers.
This island lies next to the mountains and seas
such as Ha Long, Cat Ba
but is more desolate.
Cai Bau Island is connected to the mainland
by a series of bridges from Cua Ong town.
From Ha Long city,
it takes about 1 hour by car
and about 90 minutes by car.
Another vehicle is a high-speed train
from Ha Long in about 1 hour.
In 2020,
the government officially approved a joint plan
to build the Vân Đồn-Quảng Ninh Economic Zone
by 2040.
Cai Bau Island-Vân Đồn
is the main development area
in the special economic zone.
That is why in the future
there will be many projects
such as airports, ports,
financial centers,
entertainment centers,
recreation centers, etc.
Many items will appear
and replace the face of Cai Bau Island.
It is expected that in the future
Cai Bau Island will develop rapidly
due to the input of capital.
Tourists will be more crowded,
activities will be more exciting
and more interesting.
Located about 30 nautical miles
from Ha Long port,
Cai Bau island is located
in the south of Ha Long bay.
The northern part of the bay
has many large islands
which are smaller than Phu Quoc island.
Cai Bau is the third most populous
island in Vietnam
and is now recognized
by UNESCO as the third most populous island
in the world.
The climate on Cai Bau Island
is very cool, clear
and suitable for leisure tourism.
Cai Bau is an indispensable
4. Cha Ban Island
The next position in the list
of the largest islands in Vietnam
is Cha Ban Island,
a name that is quite strange
but also in the North.
Cha Ban Island is located
in Ban Sen village,
Vân Đồn district, Quảng Ninh province.
This is the second closest
island to Cai Bau Island
and belongs to Vân Đồn district.
The island is 45 km from Ha Long city
and 12 km from Dất Liên city.
The widest area is 8.2 km2
and the highest area
is about 6.8 km2.
This is the largest island
in hundreds of islands
in Vĩnh Bái, Tử Long,
Quang Lạng,
and Vân Đồn port.
Previously, Vân Đồn port
was the largest port
in Vietnam at the time of Nha Trần.
At that time,
the northern people
had to cross Cha Ban
to get to Vân Đồn.
Because the island has land
and fresh water,
it has been inhabited since then.
The highest point on the island
is about 480 meters.
The hottest month is July
with an average temperature
of more than 28 degrees Celsius.
The coldest month is January
with an average temperature
of more than 15 degrees Celsius.
The terrain of Cha Ban Island
includes 70% of mountains,
20% of sand,
10% of forests,
and poor vegetation.
On the island, there is Nàng Tiên mountain
with an absolute height of 450 meters
and is an important military area
of the Northern Vietnamese defense system.
Cha Ban Island is little known
because it has not been explored for tourism.
This is quite similar
to the previous island, which was deserted.
The material facilities here
have not been built much
and there are still many things missing.
This place is quite desolate
and has almost no specific beach.
The terrain here is also not very favorable.
However, in the future,
this place may develop stronger
when invested.
Cha Ban has quite a lot of caves.
Only one village here
has 3 to 5 caves
formed over thousands of years
to create shaking rocks
as noisy as the heavens.
In addition, the quiet and quiet
can become an advantage
for Cha Ban Island
compared to other noisy places.
5. Con Son Island
Con Son Island
or Con Dao
or many other names
such as Con Lon or Con Non

The granite rocks from the southwest
to the northeast
create a strong advantage
in geographical location
and protect people from storms.
The average temperature of Con Dao
is about 26 degrees Celsius.

is about 34 degrees Celsius.

reaches 2,200 mm

appreciate as a place to relax
and explore the forest.

despite the severe impact
of the pandemic,

more than 323,000 tourists
visited Con Dao.
Basically,
Con Dao is one of the largest islands
in Vietnam,
including Phu Quoc island
in the southern part of Thailand,
a series of islands in the northern part
including Cai Bao, Cat Ba,
Cha Ban island
and finally Con Dao
in the outskirts of Ba Ria Vũ Tàu.
In addition, we also have many other islands

for the economic development of tourism
combined with Vietnam's defense security.
