Marie Bouzkova vs. Taylor Townsend | 2024 Washington DC Round of 16 | WTA Match Highlights

That's a lovely pass. Oh, Taylor Townsend. And that is a lovely touch and I hope to love the Boeskiver. And Boeskiver gets the job done. Townsend paying the price for not taking the chances early on. Boeskiver had the chance to break at 5-0. Took it and then held. And the set is hers at 7-5. Not enough on the lob and emphatically put away by Townsend. And how Young just stuck with her. Well played. And another chance denied. Lovely angle. Goodness me. Boeskiver has played these break points well. Well played. Bold again from Townsend. Well, decent shot from Boeskiver. But where was that boldness earlier in this tiebreak? Oh, magnificent from Townsend. And Boeskiver battles her way into the quarterfinals here in Washington. What a debut this has been for her as for Townsend. Well, she played so well in round one to beat Anastasia Potapova. But couldn't find that level here in round two. And a lovely smart from Boeskiver. What a hard-fought win that was for her. 7-5, 7-6. Over to coach she goes. Yeah, it's high fives and hugs. It is a job well done.
