Emma Raducanu vs. Paula Badosa | 2024 Washington DC Quarterfinal | WTA Match Highlights

Yep, lovely return and good work at the net there from Raducani. Oh, that is some forehand flush on the line. Axed all over her face. Raducani just focused. Yep, nice touch. Pedosa has done all she can now on serve. Still making Pedosa play that extra shot. Brilliant. What a super first set from Raducani. The damage done in the very first game when she broke Pedosa and she held her nerve all the way through. 6-4 she takes it. 49 minutes on the clock. Feeling something physically. I wouldn't know it that the forehand is still looking ever so good. He's coming to town. Oh and it's a Pedosa backhand that goes long. No, Pedosa has done it. She's found her way and she can barely get back to her chair. Raducani just slips up at the very end. This enthralling match is going the distance. Oh, I'll tell you what. It was a brilliant return from Pedosa and equally impressive with the backhand down the line. Oh, brilliant adjustment from Pedosa there. Yeah, you know she's found the line. Oh no. A match that deserved a better ending than that. But it was a super match and there's a lovely embrace. Two good friends who have pushed each other to the limit this afternoon. Pedosa has come through an absolute epic and she is taking this in. It was a brilliant match. A match that started at 50-50 and it really was anyone's guess who was going to get over the line at the end. Raducani heads off to a great ovation. Disappointment for her. Delight for Pedosa. 4-6-7-5. 6-4.
