Which is The World's Best Bar? - Behind The Scenes of The Connaught Bar, London

There is a sentence I want to say that came to me,
and the sentence was in Italian, so I translated it in English.
It says,
always remember to put the right spirit in whatever you do,
which is in cocktail and in life as well.
When we heard our name of the world's best bar sponsored by Perrier...
Wow, what a feeling.
Incredible.
It was a dream coming true.
I know, we're Italian,
so the British accent is not so natural for us.
But for sure, the Britishness of the Connaught,
plus our Italian savoir-faire,
it looks like being a good combination of ingredients for a perfect cocktail.
Buonasera.
Welcome to the Connaught Bar.
My name is Giorgio Bargiani.
My name is Maura Miglia.
I'm the deputy bar manager of the Connaught Bar.
I'm the ale mixologist here.
Let me show you around.
Please, welcome.
I would say there is a sort of a magnetic attraction.
So the Connaught Bar is quite hidden,
so unless you know that there is a bar behind the sun,
you wouldn't notice.
And once you come into this room,
it feels like you're entering a different world.
If the walls could speak,
this wood panelling has been here since 1815,
since the hotel opened the door for the first time.
But one of the things that he wanted to keep was the tradition.
We like to say there is a 360 degrees experience
because you don't only sip a beautiful cocktail,
but you sip experience, memories.
There is always a new angle we look at things.
There is always a new technique we explore.
Probably that's the strength of this place, you know?
We don't really want to follow trends.
We want to set our own trend, our own style of doing things.
Now I'm going to share with you one of the recipes from our new menu.
The name is a crescendo.
Every day we get into the Connaught Bar,
our aim is to be the world's best for our guests.
We inspire ourselves.
We motivate ourselves.
We wanted to open the door to the new generation
and as well create a sense of curiosity
for the people that were coming here already for years.
So it was the gate between different dimensions, really.
That's because we're Italian, you know?
