Hi everyone. Don't we love chicken wings? They are always crowd pleasers and great appetizers.
I have a few recipes for chicken wings from soy chicken wings to honey chicken wings. Today I'm
going to make salt and pepper chicken wings in an air fryer. This is my first air fryer recipe.
Hope you all like it. Let's get started. I have one and a half pound of chicken wings. This is
basically the middle part of the chicken wings. I already rinsed them quickly. I just need to add
some salt in the water and soak them for about 10-15 minutes. This way will get rid of the blood
and make the chicken wings even more tender. After about 10 minutes, we're ready to take out the
chicken wings. They're pretty clean. I took paper towels, pat dry. Now we put in the bowl
to marinate. I will just add some salt, light soy sauce. Now some of my viewers always ask why
both soy and salt to season because they're different, right? Soy sauce is more for flavor.
Then ground black pepper, Sichuan pepper powder, and I have ginger slices. Also white part of
green onions sliced. If I have cooking wine, add some cooking wine. If you don't have it,
you may add chicken stock or dried cherry or as some of you suggested, even lemon juice will be
fine. So just mix them and we're going to let this marinate about 10-15 minutes. If you have
time, you can marinate them for hours in the refrigerator. Now let's make our salt and pepper
mix. So start with salt, about a half tablespoon salt, and tablespoon Sichuan pepper powder.
So when we talk about the salt and pepper, we mostly refer to Sichuan pepper powder and ground
black pepper. So if you don't have Sichuan pepper powder, just start with the ground black pepper.
That's another tablespoon. And you want some spiciness, more spicy,
and you add some chili pepper powder, about a half tablespoon. As Ray suggested last time,
add a little bit sugar and simple like that. That's our mix we're going to use to serve with
chicken wings. Now after about 10 minutes, the chicken has been marinated. Let's take them out
onto paper towel. Make sure to dry them. That should be good. Drop it. Now we're going to
stretch with flour. This piece of green onion is going to burn. So about two tablespoons
all-purpose flour. We even tried the cornstarch, right? That wasn't bad. Very similar. Stretch
them. Make sure they're all coated. I'm just brushing the basket with a little bit of oil.
Now place our wings. Here's the last one. Okay, like that. Fryer on. Go to the temperature up to
375 and here's the time. We do 15 minutes. Now only less than a minute left. Let's check. Since
I'm making a bigger batch, you'll probably need to go for another few minutes. Wow, looks good.
Move them around so they cook evenly. Okay, go back again. Let's add a few minutes.
Few more seconds. Almost there. I'm ready. Are you? I'm ready. There we go. Wow. Awesome. Now
we just sprinkle our salt pepper mix to your own liking. I like a lot. Awesome. Wow. More.
Wow. There you have it. Salt pepper chicken wings. Cheers. Cheers. Oh my. This looks good.
Wow. So crispy. That's great. Good idea to add a little bit of sugar to the mix.
Wow. You got to make some more of these. They're so crispy. We need another batch, right?
I'm dipping into the mix. Oh, it makes it delicious. So, isn't this a simple way to make
chicken wings? Of course, if you don't have air fryer, you can deep fry or shallow fry. You can
even bake them. But try this salt and pepper mix. So delicious. The flavor is so bold. If you like
