(Bundesliga 2024/2025): Highlights Wolfsburg - Bayern München

Pavlovic, as we mentioned, Leon Goretzka, beginning in reserve. Here's Bowie, got the better of Thiago Tomáš. Yeah, that's defensively difficult for Tomáš. There's the shot coming in and it was Gnabry. Well, the angle didn't favour him, says Gnabry. Jamal Mousiala was the lone Germany player named in the team of the tournament at the European Championship after the Euros. Alisa, here's Kane. Space for Harry Kane! Well, Grabara again put to work. This time by the England captain. Harry Kane trying to release Bowie. And that's a fine run by Sacha Bowie. And tucked home by Mousiala. Bayern's first goal of this Bundesliga season. And it comes from Jamal Mousiala. Sliding it home from close range. They assist going to Sacha Bowie. Maybe Wolfsburg can make a better fist of it here at the start of the second half. And a penalty! Well, they have made inroads with Bayern backing off. Shrug of the shoulders from Bowie. That's what I like to see. Good position from Baku, good run from Tomáš. No offside. And there's the contact from Bowie. I think it's a clear penalty. Let's have a look. He's completely on his own. Yeah, there's the contact. Can't finish the situation. Deserved penalty. And what a moment of the game! Jesus! A couple of deep breaths. And it's Maia here for Wolfsburg. Slugs it home. And that changes the equation. Big time. Lovro Maia to the delight of those wearing... So they're looking really strong in the final third. Kaminsky, a step forward, continues his canter. And they might be in again here. Wolfsburg! Oh, it's off the post! It was Maia. And, well, they couldn't capitalise that Bayern were in trouble. That's unbelievable. First five minutes, penalty and one shot on the post. And not even a chance first half for Wolfsburg. And it was Lovro Maia. Good finish, no chance, I think. And here they come again. And Neuer is out of position. And this could be more trouble for Bayern. And there it is. A second Wolfsburg goal, a second Maia goal. It's unbelievable what's happening here on Matchday 1. Turns on its head. Lupo Meccano for Muzi Alla. Attempting to keep his balance. Still wriggling. Well, they need a good ball. And Muzi Alla's in there! And he was only too happy to fire it towards goal. Well, somehow it stayed out. Had his powers of concentration tested. This was Muzi Alla. Not the best angle, but again, great skill. 474. And Kimmich with the delivery. It was headed back in. And Müller, just on the pitch. It's a goal. That's what Thomas Müller can do. And it's another milestone. It's 150. You can't sleep that night. And, of course, you're disappointing. Harry Kane, dished it off. Bayern in with a chance and in off the post. And there is the goal they were looking for. Serge Gnabry wheels away to celebrate. And in front again, Kane. That one, easily enough, dealt with. And Bayern begin the VINCIT Company era in the Bundesliga with a hard-fought victory.
