2019年，孔海燕創作的《一九九九年四月二十五日》獲得新唐人第五屆“全世界人物寫實油畫大賽”金獎。作為“四·二五”的親歷者，孔海燕在畫中真實再現了當年萬名法輪功學員大上訪的景象。畫面用橫向長幅、水平的強烈形式感構圖，表現修煉人善良、祥和的心態；靜靜佇立的人群表現法輪功學員對信仰的堅定與堅毅；三組人物給警察講真相，突出敢冒生命危險向政府請願的壯舉……畫家希望通過這幅畫能使觀眾瞭解法輪功真相，喚起人們內心的正義。

show the firmness and determination of the Falun Gong students to their faith.
The three groups of people tell the truth to the police,
and express their willingness to the government in the face of life and death.
The painter hopes that through this painting,
the audience can understand the truth of Falun Gong
and awaken the justice in people's hearts.
