Start of another beautiful day. Also, it is so sunny in Oxford recently,
like no rain at all for I think five days in a row now, which everything you hear about the UK,
it's like, oh, it's always raining. It's always gloomy. But this is like,
amazing weather for UK winter. So I'm so blessed. You guys are gonna see it all too.
Breakfast of cream cheese toast and a coffee and probably some fruit later.
I mostly cook every day just because it's a lot cheaper than our dining hall. And the
kitchen is literally right across from my room. And they provided plates, pots, pans and everything.
So there was really no reason not to cook. I think a lot of students here do that anyways.
So this is what I usually have every day for breakfast. And then I eat something a little
heavier for lunch and dinner, obviously. So I kind of wake up late. I don't need
something super heavy for breakfast. Because lunch is so soon after.
Finished breakfast, it's like 10am. I'm gonna head to a library and do some work before lunch.
This is my building, Earl. I just went to the Taylorian library, like right down the street
from my college. But it was full at like 10am in the morning. Like what are these kids doing?
Now I'm headed towards the main library, the Bodleian, which is a little farther away,
but really pretty. So I'm gonna look for some seating over there. Wish me luck.
I am back in my room. Just got back from, oh it's so dark. I just got back to my room from the
library. It is so cold out. My cheeks are still a little red. This morning as I was walking back
here, I just realized like I am so happy here at Oxford. It's like kind of incredible how different
it is from Princeton. I think in part because it's such a walkable city and everything I need
is like walking distance away. There are the libraries, the grocery store, there's a lot of
bookstores, really cool things to visit. Just so conveniently accessible. I feel like here at
Oxford everyone's just kind of doing their own thing, like running their own business. I really
enjoy the freedom in my life right now, just taking ownership of managing my own schedule
and my lifestyle. I'm just happy to be here. I love it here.
I just got back from lunch. I had shin ramen, which was pretty good. I try not to eat ramen
too much, but I was running low on time because I wanted to go to this choir rehearsal today
at 1 15, but then I didn't finish eating until like 1 30 or 40 and the rehearsal ends at 2,
so I was like okay there's no point in going today. I am gonna head to lecture soon for my
artificial intelligence class. Just getting some rest in before because it's a two hour long lecture.
I have never done a two hour long lecture. It's gonna be so exhausting. Somehow I am always
running late even though I was in my room like doing some readings at like 2 30 and then I was
ready to leave five minutes ago and I had to use the restroom and now I have 10 minutes to get
So speed walking, trying to get there on time, get a good seat.
Lecture ended a little early, so now I'm on my way to find a library,
park myself down, and do some more readings.
How are the feathers?
Now I'm back in my room facetiming my boyfriend. Say hi Alan. Do it again.
It's 8 8 30. It literally took me two hours to cook and eat dinner. That is not okay.
Anyways, I'm gonna keep doing some work,
my problem set, and then going out tonight for Taylor Swift night. Let's go!
