Hey guys, welcome back to XanderDreams where we discuss everything business and entrepreneurship.
With the rise of small businesses currently, everyone is looking to save time and money and
no one is more eager to increase productivity than those running their own businesses.
A few tweaks on your business operations can save you a huge amount of stress. Not only will you
have more time on your hands, you'll also be more inspired to find ways to advance your small
business. After all, working hard may be good but working smart is always better. There are
countless websites out there that offer information on hacks you can do for your small business and
if you implement these simple hacks on your small business, you could see some significant changes
The most common way small businesses save costs is by DIYing a lot of their packaging supplies
and with shipping costs increasing consecutively, it's getting more and more expensive to run a
small business and you have to figure out how to keep going without losing more money but still
consistently growing your business. Small business hacks are fantastic but nothing beats solid
financial management strategies when it comes to saving money. Staying frugal in the early years of
your business will help you stay afloat and prepare for the growth ahead. Cash flow is everything to
a small business and the average cost of packaging can be really expensive. Sometimes you could easily
spend the value of your product and packaging without being careful. Like I always say guys,
a customer's experience isn't only in purchasing products and as a small business, every aspect
counts especially your packaging. There are many brands that do their packaging really well and I'm
just gonna say it here and now that do not succumb to the pressure of big brands when you're just
starting out. There are so many ways you can package your products in a way that is economical,
visually pleasing and easy and always remember that first impressions matter. The value of good
branding and logo design is instrumental to a small business. Branding is how people recognize
you. Branding can trigger emotional responses to whether people are drawn to your business or
product and it can even position your business in a market as something that will be noticed or
overlooked. The most important thing isn't necessarily how your packaging or product looks,
it's the thoughtfulness behind it, the personal touch, the thing that makes you connect with your
consumer as they open the package. It could be a simple thank you note, that emotional trigger that
makes a consumer want to buy again from you. When business people constantly talk about telling a
story about your brand, they mean the behind the scenes. Show people how you do your products,
how you do your packaging and how you come up with these ideas to make your product even better
for them. Show them the effort that you put into making your products. That will make a bigger
impact than any fancy package ever could. There's so much you can do with objects you can find
around the house and use them as packaging because at the end of the day you don't want
your customer to end up with a bunch of useless crap that you're just going to throw out in the
trash. As a small business it's really important to add a personal touch to your product. That's
the one thing that sets you apart in any way you can. These cardboard boxes from eBay, Amazon
are very efficient sure but very boring. People buy from small businesses because of that personal
touch and I've seen the benefits firsthand. You want them to feel like it's a special gift
and I find that they really appreciate the extra care and time you put into those products.
And always remember that these big businesses also had to start somewhere and it's possible
for any business as long as you keep going and study the industry that you're in. You're gonna
head over to canva.com, find a business card design that you like and now customize the
information and colors to something that better suits your brand. Download both the front and back
pages as pngs and now head back home to create an 8.5 by 11 length document. After uploading
your media and resizing you're going to fill up one page with just the front design. Make sure
it's centered and do the same for the back. Now you're going to download both pages as pngs and
hit print and make sure that the scale is set to 100 percent. After this side is printed you're
going to reload the paper upside down and with the design facing back so that you can print out
the back side. Now you should have one double-sided sheet. Using your paper cutter you're going to cut
out each business card individually and after all that you should have a little stack of business
cards that you made yourself. So I purchased a mini bluetooth printer. It comes in different colors
but I chose pink. It connects straight to your phone. Voila! Anyway guys that's it from me for
today. I'll see you guys next time. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe,
like, comment and I'll see you guys next time. Bye!
