Australian LP1 Carrier: WWII Armored Vehicle

We take a closer look at one of our upcoming restoration projects — the Australian Local Pattern 1 Carrier, or LP1.

Hull number 76 was assembled in 1940 at the Victorian Railways Newport Workshops. Of the 160 units ordered, 158 were completed that year. The LP1 stands as a testament to Australia’s early efforts in producing armored vehicles during the Second World War.
