On this day, Rain and TCM visited the home of their channel's producer. The producer had recently gotten married. After taking a tour of the producer's new home, Rain and the singer got together in the living room, where they attempted to brew alcohol. Rain had gifted a brewing kit to the producer as a housewarming present. Rain then suddenly went to a staff member and asked why they weren't wearing a wedding ring. The staff then replied they weren't wearing a ring because they were home. Rain then asked TCM where his wedding ring was. TCM replied that he couldn't wear his wedding ring because his fingers were bloated, causing laughter. This same question then fell to Rain, who was also missing his wedding ring. Rain then revealed that he didn't need to wear a wedding ring because the whole country knew he was married. Meanwhile, Rain broke the hearts of many Korean men when he announced in 2012 that he was dating top actress Kim Tae-hae. The actor dated for five years before getting married in 2017 and have two children together. On the other hand, on the December 2020 episode of SBS' My Little Old Boy, Rain appeared to talk about his marriage with Kim Tae-hae. The couple is well-known for being humble despite their incredible wealth and the amount of money they spent on getting married does prove just that. Rain confessed that their wedding ceremony only cost them 1.30 million Korean won for about 1,180 USD. Rain explained that the couple agreed to respect the financial habits of each other and that they don't even know each other's financial circumstances. He stated, We agreed not to show interest in each other's finances. We agreed to respect how each other lived in the past in regards to finances. We don't have any financial concept of each other. My wife's money is managed by my mother-in-law. But the most surprising revelation was how much the couple spent on their wedding bands. He revealed, We spent 250,000 Korean won or about 228 USD on each of our wedding bands. In a world where many couples spend thousands on wedding bands, many are praising Rain and Kim Tae-hae for staying modest no matter how successful they are. No wonder everybody looks up to them.
