Hello. We're filming this a day early so as of right now we will be at Key's appointment
in Somerset. We'll probably be there from about 10 o'clock
because we're gonna leave about an hour earlier than we need to to make sure that we don't get
stuck in any traffic or anything and don't feel rushed because it's a two-hour drive.
We need to be there for 11 so leaving about 8 in the morning. Well we would have already left
at 8 this morning because you're seeing this on the day where we will be at his appointment.
So we've got the consultation first where the vet will look him over,
check everything that he needs help with, make sure that he's in a good enough position to have
the treatment to make sure that he has the best possible outcome and that the consultation is
for about an hour but I don't know if it'll actually take an hour and then after that
we decide whether or not to go through with it and if we do he then goes in to get the
stem cells taken from his belly fat, some blood taken for the PRP treatment
and he'll get joint replacement fluid injected into his wrists and his hips.
Are you done nibbling? Okay stop nibbling in your belly! So yeah this is only probably
going to be a short video just explaining what's happening today. Hopefully everything goes okay.
I'm going to be worried for five hours if we do go ahead with the treatment
until I get a phone call to say that he's all good and ready to go home at 5pm an hour after
this video goes on. So I have no idea what he's going to be like afterwards whether he's going
to be in a lot of discomfort from the injections or the incision because he'll have a small set
of stitches in his belly. So he's going to have some bald patches unfortunately,
there's going to be some fluff missing but hopefully they don't take too much fluff.
I'll ask them to be conservative on the spaces that they do take the fluff from so you don't
have massive big bald patches. So I don't know if he's going to be very active the days afterwards.
The vet did say that the first seven days he'll start to feel more mobile, more energetic
because of the joint replacement fluid. I don't know how quickly that takes effect because
obviously he'll have had injections into his wrists and his hips which never feels nice
but I don't know at what point that pain discomfort goes away and the relief sets in.
You got a tuft hanging, oh missed it, another tuft hung out, there we go, got that one,
not gonna get that one, there, oh missed some of it, there we go. So wish us luck,
big treatment, big expense but hopefully big rewards and a more comfortable, energetic,
mobile key. Yeah hopefully, wow you snatched that one out of the air didn't you? Yeah, oh dear.
Ready, catch, oh right last one, can you catch it? Can you catch this? You sure? Ready, catch,
ah you got it.
