Welcome to Kan-Chu-Goku. I'm going to tell you the news of September 19th.
In recent years, the financial problems of the local government in China have worsened,
and many local officials are investing in infrastructure projects to maintain their farms.
Among them, road trains with low risks are especially chosen.
However, construction costs are very high, and there are few users on some routes,
so there is an increase in routes that face shutdowns and removal.
According to Seito Nippo, in many cities in China in recent years,
road train projects have been pushed into shutdowns, removal, or construction cancellations
due to lack of passengers and high operating costs.
As a result, road trains are a major financial burden in some cities.
For example, a road train using hydrogen energy from Komei-ku, Butsuzan City, Kanto Province,
was built for about 1.7 billion yen at a cost of 8.38 billion yen.
However, five years after the start of operation,
the operation was suddenly stopped for inspection of the system equipment, and the reopening period is unknown.
Industry officials point out that road train inspections can normally be carried out at night,
and that long-term shutdowns are unnecessary,
and that the actual cause is due to a shortage of passengers.
Komei-ku's road train is known as the world's first road train using hydrogen energy.
However, many citizens of Butsuzan say that this route is short-distance,
and the number of stations is small, and the relationship with other public transportation agencies is insufficient.
This problem is not only in Butsuzan City.
At the beginning of this year, Tenshui City, Kanshiku Prefecture,
borrowed 9 billion yen, or 1,822 billion yen, to build a road train.
However, it has been reported that it produces about 7.7 billion yen, or 38 million yen, per year,
and there is a problem with large cost of living.
Last year, the Choko Road Train Line 1 of Shanghai City
and the Tenshin Development Zone Road Train Line 1 were also removed.
In addition, news has been circulating that the construction of road trains is being delayed
in Shoya City, such as Seikai City, Unnan City, Jukei City, Neiha City, and Gouhi City.
In recent years, the construction of road trains has been carried out relatively easily,
so the local government of China has deliberately promoted construction.
However, these projects are facing a gap between the high construction costs and the low number of passengers.
There is no financial support.
At the end of last year, there were 23 cities in China that operated road trains.
However, the standard set by the China National Development and Reform Commission
was only 27.6% for cities with an estimated passenger density of 1km per day and more than 10,000 people.
Industry officials have pointed out that in many cities in China in recent years,
road trains have been suspended, removed, or suspended from construction.
However, the management of such high-cost projects will not be held accountable.
The local government has been pushing for infrastructure that does not meet reality,
and a large amount of funding has been waived.
This is an announcement for everyone.
