The Heirs tells the story of Kim Tan, an heir of the Empire Group, and his life is controlled by his oldest stepbrother, who sends him to the States.
There, Kim Tan encounters the beautiful Cha Young-sun, who is the daughter of his housemaid in South Korea.
As the story proceeds, we get to see family politics, the imbalance of rich and poor, friendship scrambling, one-sided love stories,
and heartbreaks. In the end, Kim Tan and Cha Young-sun overcame all the hurdles of life, giving us a happy ending.
But it was still bittersweet in many ways that fans have been craving for a Season 2.
Well, we are eager to share the news that Season 2 of The Heirs will showcase their mature love story,
and how they are coping up with life after graduation with a 10-year time jump.
Director Kang Sin-hyung and writer Kim Yeon-suk are extremely excited about their new scripts,
and more new characters will be added, which will enrich the drama's performance more.
In Season 2, we will get to see more of Chan Young and Bona's as well as Rachel and Hyo Shin's heartwarming love story, which will make us nostalgic.
We will also see Kim Woo-bin's character, Choi Young-do, finding the love of his life,
as his one-sided love for Cha Young-sun was truly heartbreaking to watch.
He deserved better, and we will get to see a happy ending in Season 2.
According to sources and media outlets, and the production company KWA and Dumb Pictures,
the drama's filming will begin by the end of 2024, and will most likely be aired in August 2025.
Season 2 of The Heirs will once again showcase family politics, friendships, and heart-fluttering love stories that will give us the sweet taste of nostalgia once again.
As for the new cast members, it is reported that Song Hye-kyo will take the lead role.
Two Hallyu icons in one frame, Season 2 will bring a revelationary change with its entrailing plotline.
Recurring leads Kim Woo-bin and Park Shin-hye will be there, but chances are high Shin-hye will do a special cameo,
as she is currently occupied with the drama The Judge from Hell, and at the same time taking care of her newborn.
Other than that, we will get to see fresh faces like BTS V, which will add more spice to Season 2.
Season 2 of The Heirs will have recurring cast members, but the most anticipated ones are Song Hye-kyo, BTS V, and Kim Bum, and others who are still being listed.
This time, the cinematography of the drama will take away the breaths of the fans,
as the production team and directors decided to make a massive change by filming the drama in various locations outside South Korea like Paris, Quebec, and Germany,
which might dethrone other famous drama cinematography like Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, and Queen of Tears, so embrace yourselves for the best.
As The Heirs Season 2 is making a comeback, it will break down all the viewership ratings of 2024's hit dramas like Mighty Men, Love Next Door, and No Game No Love,
with its spicy season plotlines that will become a global hit.
Season 2 will certainly captivate our hearts and fill that void with a new modern-day romance of Kim Tan and Cha Hyun-sung after 11 years of waiting.
