A few months ago I spontaneously booked a round-trip ticket to France.
I've been here a handful of times before but never on my own
and that's something that I really wanted to do for myself to practice my
French but also just to live more slowly and this felt like the perfect time to
do it. To soak up the final warm days of summer
here I'm starting in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence
before heading to Paris for the second week.
I'm actually staying in the attic of a boulangerie which
is just so romantic I keep having to pinch myself.
This town itself was built in 123 BCE so so much rich history here and I'm
just excited to have a few very slow leisurely days in the
Provence region. Town is slowly starting to wake up. I think I woke up around
7 but things don't open up here until like 10, 10 30 so it's just been a
really lovely quiet morning and this is my makeshift patio.
