What's going on everyone? It's Jossie here. I'm really excited
about today's video. Thank you to Shark for sponsoring today's
video. We've been living in this apartment for two years now.
We've tried to maximize every corner of this 830 square foot
New York City apartment. I'm excited to share with you all
some of our favorite tech for this ultimate modern New York
City apartment. So for this video, we'll mainly focus on my
favorite home tech that makes this our dream New York City
apartment. Since apartments are more limited with what you can
actually customize, you really have to think more deeply about
what home tech makes the most sense for your space. So we
decided to put the Shark PowerDetect robot just underneath
our IKEA shelving system. It just nestles perfectly in this
space right next to the Sono system and the Shark PowerDetect
robot features a pro base with self empty, self refilled, self
clean with up to a month of hands free cleaning and
maintenance. I struggle with consistently vacuuming mopping
the apartment but this high tech robot makes my life so much
easier. With this being a two in one vacuum and mop, it deep
cleans our apartment better than anything else we've tried that
requires little to no effort from me at all. Automatically
empties into 60 day capacity bin, automatically refills this
water tank for up to 30 days and washes and dries the mopping pad
after every clean and it'll definitely notify you that it's
cleaning. With never stuck technology, the robot lifts to
maneuver over thresholds, thick carpets to avoid from getting
stuck and while mopping the robot lifts the mopping pad up to
avoid wet carpet messes when navigating to other hard floor
spaces. Truly autonomous. Some of the things I stood out about
the Shark PowerDetect robot is how quickly it learned to
navigate our living room and how easily it detected stains that
are removed very effectively from our kitchen. New York City
streets are gross. So we are not allowed to wear matter of fact
no one is allowed to wear their outdoor shoes in our home. It's
a non negotiable. But as you can imagine, there are some
times where we break that rule, especially when we're rushing to
go catch the train. We're trying to leave the house and we can't
find our keys or our wallet or phone or whatever it is that we
need. Luckily with DirtDetect, a intelligent power detect
technology, the Shark PowerDetect robot intelligently
detects hidden dirt and automatically boost suction and
cleaning passes for enhanced debris pickup giving us peace
of mind that our home is remaining clean even when
breaking the no shoes rule. If you lived in any small space
like us for some time, you know it can be hard to keep your home
squeaky clean and it can be difficult to keep track of every
nook and cranny especially with furniture covering most of the
square footage. With EdgeDetect, the Shark PowerDetect robot
intelligently detects edges and corners, flashing air to remove
debris for improved edge cleaning performance. Achieve a
spotless home effortlessly with the Shark PowerDetect robot.
Find the link in my description box. These are smart baton
lights that have motion sensors. We're not fans of big lights so
we have these for when we enter and exit the apartment. They're
a nice little addition to our MoMA design wall that includes
the lights and this abstract coat rack. So we still are
rocking with the C1 65 inch OLED TV from LG. I still think this
TV looks great. The image quality is sharp, punchy, great
saturation, deep blacks. We got it mounted as soon as we moved
in. We just wanted to maximize as much space as possible and if
you're in a semi small space like we are, okay, PlayStation
5 just wants to turn on. I recommend getting your TV
mounted like us, especially if you want to have some sort of
home theater system that sits on top of your media console like
our Sonos Beam 2. Behind the media console are Govee light
bars. Honestly, for the price and quality, you can't go wrong
with Govee. They're really easy to connect to the app where you
can change the hue, brightness, and customize your lighting
experience. I think the Sonos Beam 2 and Submini
seamlessly blend into our setup. It really fills out this semi
large wall. We love our sports. So watching football games and
playing video games is so immersive. We find ourselves not
even needing to go to movies because of the high quality
audio the system provides. I know it's so cliche to love Sonos
as a tech guy, but it's honestly so reliable. The app is easy to
use. Soon they'll make an update where I can listen to our home
theater audio through the Sonos Ace headphones. And then if you
come over here, we have the Sonos Aera 100. I actually
thought about getting the stand for the Sonos Aera 100, but it
honestly doesn't make sense considering we have this window
ledge where it has plenty of room to sit. The sound quality
overall of the Submini Beam 2 and the Aera 100 is so good,
especially when they're all turned on in the Sonos app. I do
think the Aera 100 could be better quality based on the
price, but nonetheless, it gets the job done. We do live in
apartments, so typically we have the base set at zero or
even negative 100. The Submini is powerful enough even at
negative base, but most importantly, we don't want our
neighbors to hate us and luckily we don't share any walls and we
have this little stance that the Submini sits on so it doesn't
shake the floor. Oh, Jossie, you're not going to use a
Pixel. You're always going to switch back to iPhone, still
using the Pixel Pro XL. As a matter of fact, I've been using
the Tapo app for the TP-Link smart plugs, which has been one
of our favorite underrated tech home accessories that any home
could utilize. Smart plugs can be really useful if you want to
track things like energy usage and estimated costs. You can
also create schedules and smart actions and timers for tech
plugged into the Tapo smart plugs. For example, if you have
time at night dedicated to reading, you can simply set a
schedule for when you want to turn your bedside light on and
off. There's a default prepare for sleep smart action that
turns off all appliances and available lights that can also
be really useful for saving energy. We also find these
plugs useful for more of our bespoke lights that require a
physical on and off switch or have custom bulbs that can't be
replaced, but now we can control them hands free, which is
really cool. Alright, let's mosey our way to the kitchen.
So I know we're breaking our rules with with no big lights,
but I feel like these serve a purpose. Our apartment is kind
of a weird layout where it's a bit deep, especially with the
kitchen being off of the dining room with its like almost own
space. I literally they could have put a door here and this
would be a room. Alright, now we're cooking. We got the
Simple Human paper towel holder and spray. I've never been a
fan of our paper towel situation just because we didn't
have a dedicated station for it. We tried to mount a holder
that didn't require drilling that didn't work, but we love
the Simple Human paper towel holder. We love the stainless
steel design, the chunky base. Plus it's an all in one
cleanup kit with an integrated pump that you can use to wipe
down your countertops. This is a bit overkill, but no pun
intended to kill germs. We decided to go with the Simple
Human touchless sensor pump. This is the nine ounce Simple
Human touchless sensor pump. Did I say that twice? That's a
tongue twister, but it's in black. We got it in the matte
black color way. I think it goes perfectly though with the
matte black fellow electric kettle and this fellow matte
black thermos. I definitely didn't buy this because of
these two products, but the things we do for YouTube. Do a
quick demo touchless. Boom. Be careful because it is really
sensitive. Alright, not too sensitive though, and then you
can simply wash your hands without touching the pump
reduce germs, especially when you're hosting. I know we've
made a ton of content about the desk setup, but we haven't
talked a ton about the actual office setup. Now most of these
so most of the tech accessories for the office is going to be
centered around lighting. Alright, so don't crush me for
this, but I do need to switch to the iPhone because I
integrated the LIFX light bar with the My Home app on my
iPhone, and this is probably my favorite light in the entire
office. Unique L shape that integrates perfectly into the
shelving system is really icing on the cake for my desk setup.
LIFX light quality is a step up from Govee in my opinion. Also,
I was easily able to connect this light bar to the My Home
app on my iPhone and provide a few scenes based on the time of
day. And if I'm home, a lot of you all have been asking me
about this softbox light. Specifically, this is the Amarin
P60 softbox light. I think it does an excellent job of
lighting my face. It's not it's not too bright that it's
distracting. I think it does a good job of lighting my face
for when I'm shooting thumbnails or pictures, videos,
or really doing anything centered around creating
content for my desk setup. I don't really utilize it for
meetings. I prefer to use the LIFX light bar or this BenQ
Halo screen bar. Those products I think are a bit better for
like wanting to light my face in terms of having video
conference calls, but this is excellent when it comes to
lighting the room for content creation. Alright, so when the
light is on, you can actually download this app called
Sidious Link for iPad and it allows you to control any of
your Amarin and I'm pretty sure Aputure lights so you can
actually create scenes or control the temperature, the
brightness, the Kelvin of the light. It was time for us to
upgrade our Ikea screwdriver, something more minimal, sleek,
and compact enough to fit in any of our husky drawers. I also
like how it has a ring light built inside for those low
light situations you may find yourself in. I've been using
the Pixel tablet for about 6 months now and it acts as a hub
more than just a handheld tablet. Using Google Assistants
for the weather to control music hands-free and set timers
for when you're cooking. One of the best wellness tech I've
ever purchased is the Hatch Sleep. 10 out of 10 will
recommend. You can use your smart sleep clock to help build
better sleep habits and wake up more peacefully. The idea is
you create a sleep routine where it starts with an unwind
setup to get you relaxed, then a sleep routine so you can add
ambient music if you like, and then an alarm that gradually
gets brighter and louder as you get closer to the time that
you want to wake up. It honestly turns your bedroom into a mini
spa. This Mophie 3-in-1 stand I utilize every day for iPhone
and standby charging, Apple Watch charging, and if I have
the AirPods with the wireless charging case, I charge them on
here too. We also install the Ikea Varmblix wall lamps in each
side of the bed, adding a nice modern touch to our cozy
bedroom. These are also connected to the TP-Link smart
plugs, giving us more control over our bedroom lights.
