So the kids are super excited today. We are heading to the city so that Dean can see the
cardiologist as a follow-up for his appointment when he had the heart monitor. But who's going
to be working and we're going to see them on the side of the road? My dad. Dad! Dad!
So Sean is trucking today and they're moving the concrete barriers that go on the side of the road
and the kids are going to be able to see him actually working on the side of the road in
the construction zone. They are super excited about it. Everybody see dad and Curtis?
We are back at the hospital for Dean's appointment. It's kind of seeming like we're
here an awful lot lately. What do you think they're gonna say about your heart monitoring test?
I do not know. I know. I believe. You know? What are they gonna say? They are gonna say
they are gonna say Dean you're gonna grow. Well hopefully he grows. I think they're gonna say
everything's good because this is just them checking to make sure everything stays on track
right? Because Dean is at risk for problems with his heart. We have to be monitored every year
but we haven't noticed any changes so I think everything's gonna be good
at this appointment. And you my dear how is your foot doing? Had some painkillers before we left
the house. Are you ready to see the doctor? Let's get in there. Do you think you're gonna
have to wear a mask? Nope. I bet you are. Seriously. No you gotta put your mask back on.
You gotta hook it around your ears. Can you feel where your ears are?
Yeah feel where your ears are when you bring the string around. Feel your ear. Start at the top
of your ear. Start at the top of your ear there. Okay you need to be able to see. Okay
good job. So how was your doctor's appointment? Good. You got the full meal deal. They gave you
an ECG and an echocardiogram. And what did they say about your heart? That my heart was fine.
So everything's good. Dean doesn't have to come back for another year unless there's any problems
in between. So why do they check your heart? I do not know. So because Dean has muscle weakening
and his heart's a muscle they want to check his heart every year just to make sure that
everything's developing fine and his heart is nice and healthy. Yep. And it is. So we're good
for another year. Yep. Good job Dean. Yeah it doesn't say it is. Look at that handsome shopkeeper.
Did you dress up special to be the shopkeeper today? I'm dressing up fast because it goes for
Halloween and Christmas. Oh that's a very nice outfit. So what's your job in the school store
today? Discount their money and give them their change. So you can spend 70 cents or you can spend
65 cents when you have 75 cents. Spend 70. Okay because the other things cost more than your
budget. Look at all these veils. Okay put your money away shopkeeper and see if she's got 70
cents for you. 35 40 45 45. And I have only two dollars. Okay so you didn't have 75 cents.
You have 45 cents. 25 35 then you can keep your 10. And just buy one of these.
Do you want just one? No I want two. Then you're gonna have to give them your two dollars.
I just have one. Is the cat gonna take your marble?
Karen do you think she'll take your marble? No. Is she wanting to play with you?
I see all my decorating for Halloween. You've been doing a lot of decorating.
And see this spider on Kaya. And guess what?
You're gonna hang it up there?
You're gonna hang it on the hook and then what?
I'm gonna scare someone. Darren how was your school day today? Good. What was the best thing
you did? I did everything. You did everything? And you had your therapies today? Yeah. What did you
do with Christine today? Tying. You did some tying? Are you learning how to tie your shoes?
Yeah. Nice. Are you learning to do some cutting? Yep. Good job.
How was your guys's school day? Good. What did you do today? I did some cutting.
So one of the things you guys are learning is how to cut open packages aren't you? Yeah.
Is that a good thing? So when you want to get food out of a package you know how to get it out?
Yeah. It's a good thing to know isn't it? And I was with Lynn. And you worked with Lynn for speed?
Who's winning? So far no pieces killed. Who's gonna win? I don't know.
You don't have a plan to win? I have a plan but I'm not telling her.
But you're planning to win? Yes. Well last time you played chess Jacob I beat you three times
out of three games. And how's your foot doing? Um after falls it hurts but if I don't fall. How
come you keep falling? My balance on my right leg is terrible. So you've been spending a lot of time
scooting on your butt? For the first few days yes. So now we're like a week from your surgery?
Yeah. So is your foot feeling any better? I think so. Does it feel as bad as the first one when it
got done? No but I think once I go into the air cast it might just go really painful. Why?
Because remember with my right foot being in the air cast you had to like do special care like you
had to um like let your foot like if you had a shower you had to let your foot dry before putting
the sock on that goes for the boot. Okay but one thing this time you haven't needed as heavy duty
of painkillers as last time. So that's a really good thing. Yeah just stick with the
two Advil's and the one Tylenol. So you've only been using Advil and Tylenol this time?
So that is amazing. I'm not even going to cut his leg off. You aren't going to? Nope. Because
you've gotten so good at cutting. See? Nice. See these legs? Yes. How many legs does a spider have?
For on each side that means eight. Nice. My age but I'm now nine. September 27th is my birthday.
I was born in 2011. So did we talk about why you're dressed up so fancy?
Why are you so fancy? Because I am going to be dark because I am getting ready for Halloween.
So that's why you dressed up fancy? And I might go to the lottery tonight then like I might do
it in the washing machine at night before bed then I will just start it then I'll be in that
bedtime. I'll be switching into the dryer then by the time I wake up it'll be all folded for me.
Oh so you're going to wear it again tomorrow? And the next day. Is this your new favorite outfit?
And why do you like it so much? Because it has dinosaurs. Okay can I look at the dinosaurs?
So you've got a dinosaur on your sweater and you've got dinosaurs on this bow tie?
Oh and you saw this at the store and really wanted it? Yep at Costco. If any of you guys
girl or boy you this is a boy's one and if you want to look cool like me and handsome you can
go get it. An owl. You're making an owl? Yeah for mommy. Oh I thought maybe you were helping
with his decorating. No. No? I just took Jacob's queen. Oh that's not a good sign Jake.
I just took her up.
Do you think his chair's gonna be tall enough?
I think I have to do it. You think you'll have to do it?
Are you ready? I'm ready.
Now what are you gonna do? Can you please bring it up?
It has to be on this little. Do you see this right here? Yep. That. There we go. It fits.
There's a spider. So do you think these two cats are gonna try and get your spider?
Ghosts and a skeleton? Yep.
Our house is gonna be so spooky.
I'm getting scared.
My sign. You made a sign? What does it say? No boys allowed.
Do not enter this room because it is a haunted room.
So the girls haunted the room? That's how you're gonna keep the boys out?
You guys are making this house so scary.
Come on over here.
Here's the black bat.
Here is a spider. It says ha ha ha ha. I love you and come over here.
This is mom and Jacob's room and says next door.
We have to hold buckets of candy in our rooms for trick-or-treaters.
Trick-or-treaters are gonna come to your bedroom door? No for
like like like our our brothers and sisters are going to take turns.
Oh you're gonna do trick-or-treating at home. What are you cutting up?
Okay but you're gonna have to clean up all these little bits.
Okay you can cut but you have to do the cleanup.
Where are you gonna put these spiders? On one of my teacher's seat.
Evil.
What do you think she's gonna do?
Happy Halloween. What's this one say?
That one's spelt wrong. Who did that spelling?
You or miss W? Me. Did she tell you how to spell it? Yes.
She's wrong. It's spelled with a C. That's because they didn't have any more C's.
Yeah we didn't have any more C's. Okay. Thank you for watching and please subscribe and please
give a thumbs up. Halloween's the best day ever? Yeah. Are you gonna get some candy? Yeah.
What are you gonna dress up as? A clown.
