On this edition of One Tank Trip, Action News took a ride to visit the history of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
Many people know Ali, but a lesser-known fact is that he opened his own training camp in Pennsylvania, where he prepared for some of his most memorable fights.
Now, that training camp has become a museum honoring Ali's legacy.
Ali nicknamed the site "Fighter's Heaven."
It's located in the hills above Deer Lake about an hour and a half west of Philadelphia.
all right in tonight's one tank trips

of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali you may
not know that Ally opened his own
training camp in Pennsylvania where he
prepared for some of his most legendary
fights today it's a museum to his legacy
Ali nicknamed the camp Fighters Heaven
it's located in the Hills above Deer

hardung this is a Hidden Gem here in sco
County I told you all that I was the
greatest of all time Fighters Heaven is
the former Muhammad Ali training camp
located here near Deer Lake Pennsylvania
Al continues to talk talk this is where
he came and trained and and and did all
of his preparation for most of his
fights from the end of his career from
72 to 1981 the name Fighters have was
the nickname that he gave to the camp he
loved the peaceful atmosphere you know
the
nature probably the biggest eye-catcher
are the boulders that that are all
around the ground and they're all people
that Muhammad Ali admired and respected
and wanted to show that and he was once
the most recognized man on Earth he
trained right here you know he jumped
rope on this platform he sparred in a
ring right where that ring
is it's kind of like Pompei it's it's
it's been preserved in time and uh you
know the last guy that trained here was
Muhammad Ali and he ate there and he
prayed there and he slept over here
people are amazed when they see his
cabin how basic it was how spartan-like
it was you know no running water no
electricity in the very beginning I
think it's right up there with you know
Mount Vernon and and graceand and I
think the people need to be reminded of
what a magnificent man he was when
people do visit they get it they're
impressed they all say they're going to
come back and all of a sudden it's not
too far
away very nice that was Action News
