Video number two
It's laundry day.
This is Rosie.
She's going to help us separate our darks and our whites.
Here's a dark gray sweatshirt.
Oh, a towel.
We don't want that with any of our clothes.
I'm going to make a separate pile.
Here's a white jacket.
This is going in a third pile.
Gray shirt.
Dark sweater.
Hand towel.
Towel pile.
T-shirt.
Pretty dark.
Yes.
Black leggings.
Dark pile.
Yep.
Darks.
Oh, white sock.
White pile.
Better get that other one.
That goes in the dark pile.
What else do we have?
Oh, red.
Shirt.
It's got white in it too, though.
No.
Yep.
Dark pile.
What else do we have here?
Yep.
Darks.
Another towel.
Yep.
Towel pile.
What is this?
White shirt.
There we go.
Looks like three loads.
Rosie!
I've put all the dark clothes in the washing machine.
This is my washing machine.
Everybody's washing machine might look a little different.
So please follow the directions.
Always make sure not to overload the washing machine.
This is where you put the detergent.
Also bleach or fabric softener.
I'm not going to add bleach.
It will ruin my dark clothes.
Here is a control panel for my washing machine.
Again, follow the directions on your washing machine.
The washing machine is done.
Now we're ready to dry.
One important thing about using the dryer.
You always have to remember to empty the lint basket.
This is a control panel for my dryer.
Always remember to follow the instructions.
Now it's time to fold our clothes.
Everybody has a different method.
But I'm going to show you here how I fold my clothes.
Here we have a short sleeve shirt.
We're going to shake out the wrinkles and lay it flat.
Smooth it out.
We're going to fold in one side.
Tuck in that sleeve.
And fold in the other side.
Tuck in that sleeve.
I'm going to take one end and meet the other end.
Folding it in half.
Straighten it out.
And voila!
One folded short sleeve shirt.
What is this?
Looks like a shirt.
All right.
Oh, it's a long sleeve shirt with long sleeves.
Okay, same method as the short sleeve shirt.
Straighten it out.
We're going to fold in one side.
Tuck in that long sleeve.
Fold in the other side.
And tuck in that long sleeve.
We're going to take the end.
Match it up with the other end.
Folding it in half.
Flip it over.
Voila!
One folded long sleeve shirt.
What's next?
Hmm, black leggings.
Okay, I'm going to find the back of the pants.
All right, grab that inseam.
That pretty much folds it in half for you.
Lay it down on the side.
Smooth out all the wrinkles.
And take the end.
Match it up with the top.
Folding it in half.
Some people prefer two folds.
One.
Two.
Time to fold socks.
Everybody has their preferences in folding socks.
So I'm going to show you a couple.
This sock is right side out.
But this one is inside out.
So I'm going to bring it back to right side out.
There.
Some people like to put their socks in their drawers like this.
Some people, like me, like to fold over just the cuff of the sock over the other.
Keeping them together.
Some people get super fancy folding their socks.
They like to use the roll method.
It turns your sock into a perfect ball.
Hey, we're done with our laundry.
We've turned this pile of dirty clothes into this stack of clean clothes.
Thanks for watching.
