Hello! Hello! So I'm from Melbourne and we've just entered another six-week lockdown. And as an
introvert who works from home, the lockdown hasn't affected me too much. However, it can be very
difficult to keep my puppy entertained. So I decided to buy her a whole load of new toys and
today we're going to see how she reacts to all of them. I got all of these toys from Kmart. So Kmart
in comparison to like PetBarn and PetStock is a lot cheaper on the toy front and the toys are just
as good quality. So I hadn't bought anything from Kmart until a little while back when I bought
Fairy, this sloth. I wasn't even buying pet things, I was buying a whole lot of other stuff from Kmart
and I saw this, I was like, oh that's so cute, I'll buy it for her. And this has been her favourite
toy ever. She absolutely loves this thing. The first time I gave it to her, she would not put
it down all day. She even took it on a walk with us because she did not want to put it down.
So since this sloth was such a hit, I thought I'd try and find some similar toys that she would
enjoy. So what she seems to like about this sloth is that he has like really long legs and she likes
throwing him up in the air by his legs. So I was looking through Kmart's toys and I found
this octopus and I was like, oh it has long legs, she'll love playing with that. So in the picture
the octopus looked the same size as this guy, I just assumed it was going to be the same size as
this. But when I opened up the box, this is how big it is. I can't even capture how big it is on
camera, it's so long, it's literally got to be longer than her. I have no idea how she's going
to react to this, I don't know if she's going to be excited, I know she's going to be extremely
scared because it's so big. I think what she'll do is she'll probably lie on it and try to rip
off its bowtie, that's my guess, but I'm excited to see what she's going to think. But yeah,
definitely not the same size as her sloth. I don't even know where to put this now,
can you sit there? The next toy I bought, which again, I thought it would be the same size as
the sloth, it was kind of a similar looking thing, but this is how big it turned out. So this is
about the same size as the octopus, it's a cow with a nice long neck. I thought the long neck
would be, you know, as long as the sloth, but once again, I actually managed to buy a toy that's
longer than my dog. So yeah, don't know how she's going to react to this again, it's a lot bigger
than I thought. Hopefully she'll enjoy it. This one also squeaks, or at least it says it does.
It's not squeaking! Oh there it is. The next toy I got, I thought would be the same size as the
sloth, and hooray, it is the same size as the sloth. So, it's some cute little avocados,
I kind of bought this because I wanted it for myself. Not really, he was going to play with
it, but like, I eat avocado toast a lot, and when I'm eating my avocado toast, Fairy is just
being crazy as always, so she can chew on her avocados while I eat my avocados. I thought
she'd enjoy this one because it has like velcro, so she has to like pull it apart and put it back
together. I don't think she'll actually put it back together, she'll just pull it apart, and it
has like this tennis ball that goes in here, so it's like kind of a little mind game where she
has to figure out how to get the tennis ball out, and it's highly likely that she'll manage to tear
these two apart, but we'll see, we'll see. Honestly, pet toys are so cute, I just want them for myself.
Okay, so then we have this like polar fleece rope thing. She likes chewing on ropes, she likes playing
tug-of-war, she has like this snake toy we play tug-of-war with, and she loves that, so I think
that she'll enjoy playing with this with me. It's been rated number five for extreme chewer, so
this should be a good one for her. I recently bought her this like little ball of amazon that
you put treats in, and it keeps her busy for like a whole hour. It is great, it is so good, I'll leave
a link to it if you're interested. So I thought I'd try and find some more like pet food, IQ kind of
toys. So first of all, I got this one, which is called roll and treat, which looks like a kind of
similar concept to a kong, but it's like a different shape, so hopefully she'll be entertained by this.
She's pretty smart, so she's trying to figure out how the kong worked pretty quickly. I don't know
how long this will keep her busy for, we will find out. Oh, it's like squishy. Oh, this is good, so you put
the treats in the top, or you can slide this, so it's more difficult for her to get them out. Yeah,
I'm putting it on the most difficult setting, she's too smart. And then she has to like roll it around
the treats to come out, so I think this will be a good like brain game for her. Apparently it's also
suitable for cats. The final toy is another IQ treat kind of toy, it is a pet toy IQ treat star.
I thought this would be a bit smaller, or maybe it is a bit smaller, I haven't actually opened up this box
yet. And you know what, this cardboard box will be a great toy as well, she loves chewing up cardboard
boxes, she just wants to tear them apart, so this is a two-in-one, good purchase. I think what you do
is you like put the treats in, and then you close it up, and then they have to figure out how to
open it to get the treats out. I don't think this will keep her that entertained for that long, I
think she's going to figure it out pretty quickly, but I guess we'll find out. If it keeps her busy
for a few minutes while I prepare another toy to keep her busy for longer, that's helpful too.
Okay, so I'm going to remove all the tags off these, and then we're going to go see what she thinks.
Okay, so a quick note from me in editing before I show you all the fairy clips. So I filmed all these
clips in Fairy's room, and for some reason the sound quality in Fairy's room is just disastrous,
like it just sounds like there's a volcano erupting constantly. So instead of using the original audio,
I'm just going to do a voiceover here, I hope that is okay with you. Okay, so here we are in Fairy's
room. The first toy I took over was her giant octopus. She didn't seem too scared of it. As soon
as I gave it to her, she just like lay down on it and went to eat his bowtie. She seemed to have a
lot of fun playing with it. I thought it would be too big for her to carry, but she seemed to enjoy
carrying it around just as much as the other toys. Like she picks it up by the bowtie and carries it
around that way. And also here's some bonus footage. So a few days later, I took the octopus outside,
and here is her just rolling around in the octopus's tentacles a few days later. It was so
funny. Next up, I gave her the cow. She really enjoyed just shaking the cow around, and she also
kept squeezing different parts of the cow to try and find all the squeakers. So there were actually
lots of squeaky bits in the neck and the body, which I didn't realise, but she had a lot of fun
finding those and squeaking them. Then I gave her the final plush toy, which was the avocado. So I
gave it to her with the avocado's velcroed up, and she immediately realised there was something
inside them and tried to get the ball out. And she actually managed to figure it out really quickly,
like I was surprised how quick she was. But since then, I have noticed her carrying around the
avocados a lot and playing with them a lot, so I think she likes them. Then after that was the
polar fleece rope toy. There's not really too much to say about that. I held it, she pulled on it,
she had a good time. It was just really a standard rope toy, nothing too interesting, but a good one
to add to her collection. Okay, then we moved on to the food puzzle. So the first one I gave her
was the rolly puzzle, and at first I thought this was the best thing ever because she could not
figure it out. She kept rolling it around trying to figure out how to get out her food, and she did
it for ages. Anyway, she managed to get a few of her food pieces out, but then she realised there
was another way in, and she just tore off the rubber. She nearly ate the rubber, it was very
stressful, but she tore off the rubber and just went in for the treats that way. So yeah, now the
toy's broken and I am not giving it to her again because I really don't want her to swallow any
rubber. Then it was time to give her the final toy, which was this IQ star. So like I predicted,
it really didn't take her very long to figure out. She literally just needed to push it with
her nose and then she could get to the treats. It did take her a little bit longer to realise
that there were two parts of the star and there were more treats in there, but it really only
kept her busy for a few minutes. Having said that, since filming this video I have been using it to
put little bits of peanut butter in each of the star things, so that keeps her busy for a bit
longer because she keeps going around to check if there's more peanut butter in them. Anyway,
so there are all the toys. I think the giant toys have been the biggest hit just because they're so
giant. They're such a novelty for her that she just has so much fun with them. Okay,
so that is all the fairy footage I have to show you for today. I'm sorry there couldn't be more.
I find filming her really difficult because she just moves around so much, but I am looking into
and thinking about how I can film her a lot better to make a lot better fairy videos. Yeah,
so look forward to some more videos with lots more fairy in them soon. But thank you so much
for sticking with me and watching this one. I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you again very soon.
Bye!
