Atlético Madrid - Road to the Final • Champions League 2014

A swinging corner, puts some swerve on it Miranda, gets across the defence And Salde Now Hulk It's Hulk! Oh what a goal! Sensational from Hulk It's just a little flick up from Kirchkoff Once he gets into that range within goal We know he's gonna pop Swept in by Koke Oh it's come back off the goalkeeper Miranda's following up And eventually it's been scrambled in It's not a good set pace And Zenit find it really hard to defend A couple of blocks Teran It's the substitute Baptiste Dao What an introduction One touch to control In between the two defenders And it's finished Atletico Madrid We were saying that There's no one on the left That's the decision A header And What? To the middle of the field There's no play Judging by the reaction of Atletico Yes, they've overplayed They've failed They've deceived Porto's defence This match in a week And here's a dangerous attack by Atletico Philippe Luiz Passes to Raul Garcia He opens the score 1-0 There was no offside Austria passes in the 8th minute And how easy it is Raul Garcia Kostya helped Diego Costa Maybe he can win this 1-1 Diego Costa 2-0 In the 20th minute A very comfortable pass By Atletico And the remaining 70 minutes I think You can just Pass the ball Across Raul Garcia And on the left Insuwa Diego Costa Absolutely 1-3 2-0 Brazilian forward's double In his first match In the Champions League He scores twice How can it be? We're talking about Austria playing from the back And against a run of play You have to say Atletico Madrid are in front Well Costa In the head It's a brilliant one From Raul Garcia Well it was a high Floating cross With not a great deal Of pace on it But he generated Enough power And the direction Was perfect Koke picking out Juan Fran Good ball in from him And a tap in But offside Against Felipe Aggressive run from him Lovely lay-off from Raul Garcia And there's Costa's goal Finally And it's a high class goal From a very confident team And the rest of Europe Beware They're gonna be a factor Gabi with this free kick From the goalers Goalkeeper Juri Lodegan having to get down Smartly to that He's had very This is Hulk Away from Ghilardoghi It's Hulk again Courtois was in the way again Spinning's there but Here we go On the break Onside is Adrian Adrian in behind For Atletico Madrid And that's the goal That could be a killer For Zenit Saint Petersburg A ruthless finish They not May not be at their strongest But they turned on the power here Atletico Madrid And Zenit are in big Big trouble now Smolnikov On the search forward Away from Insua Courtois Oh it's gone in What's happened there? A moment of real fortune for Zenit And they will gladly take it Wow Smolnikov gets the cross in there Lucho Open for Danilo Danilo's cross And Jackson With the ball On the iron At the break Incredible finish From Jackson Martinez He was in sight At the first Zenit easily put the ball In the big area Let's see That's exactly what happens Attention to the finish And the goal It's the goal of Atletico Madrid Marks Raul Garcia From an angle Completely impossible I think for goals like this There's no solution possible There's no block It's the weight of Atletico Madrid And now the ball is coming in Varela Attention to Varela Miranda already won There's the ball on the iron One more The ball There are three balls On the iron From the football With Porto Now again The ball goes straight On the cross Attention to Aranzobia Ivar is going to make the pass He's going to go in He went in Diego Costa There's no offside He's already gone And it could be a 2-0 It's already 2-0 Diego Costa Immediate protests From Maicon As to a possible offside But Diego Costa Is Really A real beast And when left alone He's lethal What about taking the shot John It's Kaká Oh he's close again Great feed From Balotelli It's Gabi's corner That wasn't a good header But that is And there's a goal For Diego Costa And that could be A priceless goal In this Champions League Last 16 tie Simeone's team in front And it's Diego Costa And it is Rami Excellent effort From the big central defender Really caught hold of that Italian international Good interception here From the Atletico Captain Gabi In by Koki A goal It's that man again Diego Costa Gives Atletico Madrid A dream start A 1-0 lead on the night 2-0 on aggregate Milan now Have to score Twice Snipped a chance No one really confronting Milan plays in possession Lovely ball from Balotelli Pulls cross Chance Kaká Goal Milan Right back in it Former Real Madrid man Kaká Really good move And hope springs eternal For those who've made the journey From the San Siro 1-1 on the night Atleti still 2-1 up on aggregate Great recovery from Bonera Oh to Turan Deflection And in Real good fortune About the deflection They don't care Atletico Madrid Extend their advantage again Here's Juanfran Going for the jugular now Oh! Superb effort From Raul Garcia Well that would have Even outdone the opening goal From Costa Wonderful Raul Garcia Yes! Atletico Madrid Into the quarter finals Of the Champions League Even with 20 minutes to go Surely no way back for Milan Convincing header From Garcia 3-1 on the night Juanfran's total domination Sosa Taken on by Costa Oh it gets better And better For Atletico Madrid Marching into the last aid In style It's Costa again It's party time You hear the Vicente Calderon And he buries this When he gets the chance No love lost I mean they just want to win At all costs That's a perfect go by Pep Pinto His clearance was not the best at all And an opportunity Which they cannot make the most of What a fairytale That would have been for David Villa 2 or 3 before he actually got booked And that's an ambitious effort Oh! What a sensational hit that is Wow What a goal That's something Out of the top draw Really It's Dani Alves though Neymar Combination threatening Fabregas the whistle's gone Well somebody's Better tackle again But no way through this time Iniesta Well that could be a glorious ball Neymar What an answer Neymar with the finish But Iniesta Inspirational That's a pass Daniel what a pass That's the one that's all It will be Messi Oh my goodness Did he or did it hit the post Daniel With more experience At nights like this Perhaps the key in that decision I think you're right Daniel He certainly has a lot more experience In Portuguese under now So it's Messi That was Israel Garcia Another one who's in a purple patch At the moment Good strike You know he's scoring goals for fun 16 goals this season I think he's got 5 Well Garcia up well And an opportunity for Adrian He's so unlucky David Villa foraging And he'll get it back across And Adrian is in there Opportunity And a goal By Koke A giant step towards the semi-finals Already Well unbelievable I couldn't believe Adrian Hit the post with that one Thunderous shot Not scored many goals this season And the problem But they had to score anyway Oh here we go On an opportunity Oh and this time it's David Villa who sees it Cannon back off the post Barcelona leading a charmed life Can't help worrying Oh Messi's free Oh I do not believe that Great chance Daniel Trying to affect the game here And he has beautifully Neymar Courtois got there Now it's Messi Crucial Courtois intervention Oh and he may be a bit stranded here Oh Messi coming in And Xabi coming in Taking it by the scruff of the neck here And found again by Villa But it's Xabi He'll take it on And now he'll rue that decision My goodness What a chance What a great chance Oh Neymar arriving And it was a hope and pray moment For Courtois Tell you what He's got there Koke once more Towards the head of Raul Garcia Would be a concern For Chelsea because actually Little bit of space here For Mario Suarez That was well struck Glad to go into it What a corner kick Gabi going for goal And then Schwarzenegger got there Well I think he took a touch From somebody on the way through to him That's a more difficult one For Mark Schwarzenegger Crossed in towards Oh the two run Somehow He got up above Gary Cahill Great cross Teasing cross Best one of the night there By Cahill It's as far as Gabi It's in towards Diego Costa And he is He only needs one Clear sign of the opponent's goal And Willian takes That for me Really difficult Luis What an effort As we could see And I'm sure you could all see at home It was starting wide And staying wide To make himself available again Taken on by Aspilicueta Goal Fernando Torres Big deflection Chelsea have made the breakthrough Well he's got his hands in the air Torres Say I love Racing I'm a Jude Now Thiago Oh and it must be Andrian Lopez 1-1 Chelsea just stopped And Atletico Madrid Had not just equalised They've given themselves an away goal As it's staff They're going to Lisbon Well Out of Turan Oh The challenge Penalties given Well called Diego Costa From the spot At Stamford Bridge He does score It's a massive conversion For Atletico Madrid Samuel Eto'o On as a substitute To help get a goal at the other end And it could be even better for them In comes out of Turan And it's a match Surely Atletico Madrid Against Real Madrid 14 Champions League final Well game over Directed by Hazard A parting shot By Edin Hazard And Courtois keeps him out Terry can't keep it down They've only been academic At this late, late stage But well played Cristiano Ronaldo Looking like he is relishing The occasion This is Stadio Lucio Rush With fans It has atmosphere With a capital A It's the Champions League final Of 2014 With our commentators Gary Neville And first Martin Tyler Towards Raul Garcia And Jair Ramos Has been scoring them And now The shot And that was it That was good goalkeeping It really skipped up Good early cross Comes out to He's given it to Gareth Bale Of all people And Bale goes all the way through But doesn't deliver The coup de grace At the end of it Garcia started to come And it's in And it's given Keyes just done the trick It was the most untidy goal That you're ever likely to see In a match of this magnitude But for Diego Simeone Another corner Nearly another goal Koke Raul Garcia You get that right Winners of the Europa League Last week the Sevilla And on the move here Oh Mata For Miranda Is a certain yellow Wasn't quite getting into A clear goal scoring opportunity He's the main hope For Real Madrid Up steps Ronaldo Oh it's deflected Courtois Parries it away Could have been worse In the corner for Atletico More height on it this time And again It is Ronaldo But it's getting closer And there's a bit of momentum In the corner Moises In again Adrian Deflected Similar to the ball Send it back Crossing from wide left And Ronaldo going in He couldn't get enough on it Or A little bit less on it And Benzema would have scored He had the run at three here Thrill Real And a shot from Isco Might have Used the crowd scene To his advantage It would have been a difficult one For Courtois Gabi gets up to him quickly Is it red? It goes in again And he had to go for it Modric Ronaldo Bale Well they put the passes together there Superbly Gareth Bale lashed it But lashed it Di Maria Does cross Moran got to it It wasn't Here's Bale He's gonna feel it He's away Gareth Bale's No Well he's having the chances They've got to put that down To a third one Carvajal It's Isco And it's desperation now From Atletico Madrid His last ditch He wants to shoot Oh and he's taken the goalkeeper out Carvajal is there The goalkeeper Courtois this time Marcelo going in Shouts for penalties Sergio Ramos Corner Oh a big header that is from Alderweireld Yes There it is What a header Sergio Ramos Going Simeone But that is so tough Carlo Ancelotti looks calm But he's not He can't be Oh the Real Madrid substitutes are on the pitch Here's extra time With Gary and Martin Trying to come out to Di Maria Doesn't quite drop for Morata Here's Marcelo Claiming that in this competition In finals Ronaldo Handball He's asking for the handball I thought he'd hit Gabi Gabi takes Godin goes in Di Maria Oh he's gone all the way here And done the same In the Champions League final For Real Madrid It's a dream moment for Gareth Bale and his career He's still calm Never underestimate The resolve of Atletico Madrid Out comes Casillas Unwisely Thiago What is Casillas doing? Majority in the stadium Marcelo carves away through And Courtois can't keep it out It's La Decima now Atletico are broken And Real Madrid For the 10th time European Cup Champions League trophy That's a penalty It is It's falling apart And for his club And in his own country too There it goes It is 4-1 It looks like a rout That doesn't tell the whole story But when they needed to come on strong They have been So so strong Too strong for Simeone Zidane Who delivered the Last It's done It's the 10th try for Real Madrid Decima And properly fuelled The Decima For Real Madrid
