She does what she wants and she looks cool doing it.
We're back, baby.
What's up, you guys?
Welcome back to my YouTube channel.
Today's video, I'm going to be doing the iconic Victoria's Secret Angel-inspired look.
It's a bit over the top, but it's one of my favorites.
I made a video so long ago saying Victoria's Secret is dead, but this makeup look is not.
And come to find out, Victoria's Secret is definitely not dead.
It is coming back in October.
And when I read that, I was like, oh my goodness, I have to redo my video.
It's been almost three years since I did that look.
You guys, I'm so excited to do this.
Let's just get right into it.
To hydrate my face, I use the Drunk Elephant Peptide Moisturizer and the Glow Drops in the tan bronze shade.
But there's also these brightening drops that I love to put over it.
And it's the prettiest highlight.
So I'm just going to do just a tiny amount.
Also, if you want something more affordable, the L'Oreal Lumi Glow or Lumi Glotion.
This is more of a bronzy color.
Maybe we'll put some up here.
I do like to be matte in specific, tiny places.
And because we're going to be doing this Victoria's Secret model look, our skin is going to be glowing.
It's going to be looking like we've been drinking green juice since we came out of the womb.
Since we've been born.
But that's not the case for me.
And maybe it's the case for you.
Not for me, though.
I don't like green juice.
I know.
I'm using the Professional Matte Primer.
And I'm just going to go.
This is brand new because I literally went through my other one because I loved it so much.
And we're just going to go.
I get oily right here and in between my brows.
And I personally don't love that.
Before we blend all of this in, I'm going to take this and just go right here.
Blend it down like this.
So it's like.
I'm going to be using a lot of OG, Original Gangster products.
I was watching the 2005 and 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows.
And I just feel like using some OG makeup that has been in the game since forever is what we need to do.
We're also going to use new ones, too.
But the OG.
Literally, I've been using this for a decade.
It's never gotten old to me.
I've talked about this a million times on the channel.
The Giorgio Armani or the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation line.
This is in 5.2, 6.25.
The Victoria's Secret Angels have a spray tan.
Every single one of them.
Or they have some sort of gloss on their skin.
No matter what their skin tone was, they were glossy.
They were glowing.
And they were slightly tanned.
This is the Power Fabric.
It's a weightless matte foundation.
So it's different than the Luminous Silk.
I'm just going to put this in my bronzing areas.
With the regular Luminous Silk shade.
I'm just going to put a little bit.
Maybe take a little bit of this.
Here.
I'm just going to feather out this lighter shade along my jawline and my nose.
Where I get pretty red.
See it immediately covered that up.
I'm taking it so...
Sorry if my hair looks crazy in this.
Taking it so lightly.
And then the Power Fabric.
We're going to just start to blend in with this.
The Power Fabric we're going to blend in with this glow.
And maybe around the eye.
And then I'm going to take the forehead.
The key to a Victoria's Secret model look is showing where the skin is perfect.
And then covering up maybe where it's not.
Listen.
We aren't perfect people.
But we can totally pretend or fake it till we make it.
And if you're like, Janelle.
I can't.
Trust me.
You can spot treat with heavier concealer or foundation in areas that you really, really need it.
Because I've seen a lot of these people in person.
I met Adriana Lima before.
And they definitely do have perfection to them.
But not every single one.
A lot of these girls struggle with pimples or tired skin.
I like to place foundation where I need it most.
Spread it out where it's not needed.
But it will then just kind of give you this really pretty, blended, glowy, yet still more natural looking skin finish.
I feel like this just looks so good.
And I like to drag it down my neck a little bit.
Hourglass Concealer.
I'm going to be using some Hourglass products.
My dream is to work with Hourglass in some sort of way, shape, or form one day.
I say this all the time.
But we're going to just go ahead and cover up any pigmentation, dark circles around our eyes.
Because Victoria's Secret angels are always glowing.
They just look like they slept for forever.
So I'm going to take two shades.
Cotton and Sepia.
And the Sepia is the darker shade.
I'm just going to go down my nose to carve out my nose.
Snatched.
But some of them also do have very beautiful, soft, plump features.
Actually, Adrenalina, she had a very soft, plump, sexy look.
So where some girls were like so, so chiseled to the gods.
I like that you had like variety.
If you're looking for makeup brushes, also I recently found a really cheap set that I actually put as my travel set.
For when I'm traveling these next few weeks.
Coming up, I'm going to Europe.
I'm going to Yellowstone on a hiking trip with my dad.
And I just really need some makeup brushes to just have and throw in my bag.
So I'm going to link those down below.
They look just like this.
And they're such good, nice quality.
So if you're a girly on a budget and you just need something, I will link those below.
But I'll also link my favorite brushes below that I make my makeup look insane.
We're going to set our under eye concealer.
I'm going to use the Translucent Loose Setting Power by Laura Mercier.
This one just wins every time.
It's the best.
And I'm just going to go ahead and I'm going to just like push it along here.
Drag it up down my nose and up into the lash line.
And then I'm going to go over the eye because I do get creasing from the concealer.
So we just want to set that a little bit.
And maybe just set it around here.
There's also this Glowy Setting Powder from Laura Mercier.
I'm going to take a little bit of this and I'm just going to go along here.
It gives you just the nicest little sheen.
The nicest little set along the outside of the eye and then the whole eye.
Because to me, glowy skin shows health, youth, wellness.
That's what the Victoria's Secret models literally embody.
With this, I'm going to keep layering some glow.
So this is the Merit Solstice Day Glow.
Perfect. Just what we need.
It's like a beautiful bronze color.
I'm going to take the Dibs Beauty Brush and I'm going to just start taking it on the brush.
And I'm going to contour a little bit, aka bronze up.
Because although the Victoria's Secret Angels were snatched,
they were more glowy than they were snatched to the gods.
I mean, trust.
I feel like I'm going to focus more on my glow than a crazy contour.
Tips of being your inner Victoria's Secret model.
So when I was a little girl, I used to daydream about the Victoria's Secret Angels.
Adriana Lima was my girl.
Irina Shayk.
All of those girls, I was just so mesmerized by them.
I do love Taylor Hill. Her face is gorgeous.
I was just so mesmerized.
And I constantly was striving to look like a Victoria's Secret model.
I wanted to so bad.
And as I grew up, I started to realize the secret to looking like a Victoria's Secret Angel
is your attitude and how you treat yourself and how you talk to yourself.
Because I've met so many gorgeous women being in LA now for, oh my gosh, almost eight years.
But there's a difference that sticks out in women who carry themselves with love and confidence
or just like stuck-up-ness and confidence, if that makes sense.
There is a difference.
And it makes their beauty, obviously, Adriana Lima is already stunningly gorgeous,
but it makes her erythral.
If I'm saying erythral.
Erythral.
Erythral?
Gosh, Janelle.
Speaking of Hourglass and me dreaming about collaborating or being in one of their campaigns one day,
I have this Ambient Light Edit palette that they just sent me.
And this bronze color is the epitome of the most gorgeous color ever.
So I'm going to take one of their brushes.
I've been using my entire beauty kit is all Hourglass Cosmetics brushes.
I'm going to go over where I just put that glow and just re-set that in.
And don't be afraid to just really make yourself glow, baby.
Because we are a Victoria's Secret girl.
Look at how that just bumped up everything.
We're going to get into the eyes.
I'm using this Urban Decay palette.
I'm obsessed with it, you guys.
If you guys want a palette that just looks good, classic, this baddie right here.
She is just...
You just can't go wrong with these colors.
These colors are just...
They're so good.
Classic.
Perfection.
I'm going to go in with the naked color.
Hand.
So the edge of the lid.
And I'm out into our bronzer color.
And then I'm going to take it and I'm going to go right at the edge and beginning of my brow.
Down my nose.
And then across the brow bone.
See how it just pulls everything in?
So edge of the eye.
Pull up into the bronzer.
Tip of the brow.
And out.
Ooh.
So it creates the smooth contoured look.
And don't worry.
We'll blend it all together so it doesn't look too crazy.
But I really like this.
So we're going to go into smog.
And we're going to go right at the edge.
Edge of the eye.
It's such a...
I literally just tapped my brush.
It's already giving this insane look to the eye.
And I just bring it up to the tip of my brow.
Insanity.
And then same thing.
Edge here.
So if you're trying to embody your most beautiful self, your Victoria's Secret, your inner Victoria's Secret angel self,
attitude is such a big deal.
And I know there's going to be some people that are just gorgeous and shitty.
And they're still going to have it all.
But, you know, what is so inspiring is seeing the people that are so insanely gorgeous with such a beautiful heart.
And I really feel like even though Victoria's Secret took a fall for a while,
a lot of the girls that they picked, I would say like the Candice Swanepoel, the Audrina Lima, the Taylor Hill,
those girls have gone out and shared stories.
And they've been just so loving.
And I just think there's been a lot of amazing, inspiring things that have come out of the Victoria's Secret brand.
I've been so inspired for forever.
It's just so cool to see them make a comeback and see what they got and see what they're going to bring to the table, you know?
So I'm going to take this same beautiful brown shimmery color and go and just do my under eye.
This will give that more sleepy, dark kind of look.
So I'm going to just like drag it.
A little bit more of a smoldering kind of look.
And I'll just take any leftover and go over the lid.
Then there's this color called Sidecar.
It has like a shimmery, pretty color to it.
I'm going to take it and just go on the lid so it gives me a shimmer.
Because let me tell you something, these girls back in 05, 06, 07, 08 in those Victoria's Secret fashion shows, they shimmer.
So my tip to you guys is only so much shimmer and glitter can hide a bad attitude and a rotten, cold heart.
It's just, it is what it is.
Like you can only hide so much and you can see, people can see right through that.
And like I said, there will always be some girls at the top that you're like, they stink.
Like they should not be there.
It is, you know, this is a, this is, we are in a world where that stuff does go on.
But trust, not a lot of people can, not a lot of people can get away with that like at all.
So don't get too in your head about it.
Focus on yourself.
And I feel like where I found my true Victoria's Secret love and beauty for me as my own little Victoria's Secret angel in my house,
is not having a freaking bad attitude when you leave your house.
Because then that will go out there and people will choose glow, you know.
And if you're sweet and nice, it'll make people see this glow that you just like cannot apply yourself, you know.
I don't know.
Am I sounding crazy?
Dark brown shadow to go ahead and just kind of go over my lash line.
Maybe it's just me, but I noticed that there's not a ton of black used, like eyeliner and stuff like that.
And if they did, they did a really good job kind of buffing it out.
I feel like it's more of a dark brown kind of color.
So I'm just going on the edge of the eye.
Same to this side.
So just the outside.
And we can buff this out for sure.
I'm going to also just take any residue.
You know what?
There's this really pretty gold color in here.
I'm going to take my finger and I'm going to just go.
I always think about Rihanna's music video SOS when she's in that green dress glowing.
That makeup look lives rent free in my head.
Which by the way, Rihanna is another person where she just, I mean, I get it.
Yeah, she's literally probably one of the most gorgeous people I've ever seen in my entire life in person.
But the attitude of her takes that to the, like you can't really describe it.
And that's how you got to be in life.
You know what I mean?
There's going to be like something about you that people are like, there's, I'm into her.
Girls, guys, whatever, your friends, like have people speak about you like that.
That is where, that's where you win at life.
You know what I mean?
Oh, the blush is really going to make this everything.
And then the inner corner highlight.
Also, if you guys want a really light mist for when you're doing your makeup or you're in the middle
and you just kind of want to like give a mist to your skin, but you don't want to feel wet.
Like I, I really hate feeling wet when I spray something.
This Future Wise Slug Boost Hydrating Mist.
Look at this mist.
It's like, can you even see it?
It's the lightest mist.
And it just gives me a little, like when I, when I just need a little something, it gives that to me.
We're going to start with some Charlotte Tilbury.
This is the medium two beauty wand.
I normally use this for bronzer, but I am going to use a little bit to start the blush process.
Let's go ahead.
We're going to just blend this out.
The start of the blush.
So I'm going to blend this out on my nose.
Give me a little bit of life there.
That's the start to this glow.
I have a couple of different types of blushes and how we can approach this.
The first one I'm going to use is this YSL Beauty.
This pink is extremely pink, but this is a blurring blush.
So I'm doing a tiny touch, tiny touch of this.
And I'm going to take it just on, just on the apples lightly where I want it.
I like the more center part of my face to be more blurred.
I like a little blur.
Okay, we added our pink.
The pink is on.
This is not an OG product.
However, the Rihanna has been obsessed with Victoria's Secret.
She sang and performed at a Victoria's Secret fashion show.
One of the most iconic moments.
Oh, that also lives rent free in my head.
So we're going to use some Fenty Beauty.
This is a very internet famous highlight.
This is the kilowatt.
I'll have everything linked.
You guys know what products I'm talking about.
I'm going to start back up over here.
And I'm going to trickle it up.
And just kind of like a C.
Because this is like a darker pigmented highlight.
I'm going to keep it back here.
So it hits back here.
Because I don't like anything too heavy and dark here in front of my face.
So we'll just keep it more towards the back.
Like this.
This is brand new.
I just got sent this.
This is the water brat.
And the Fenty cheat.
So this I'm going to take.
This is very pink.
But they were not afraid of blush.
Like if anyone wasn't afraid of blush, it was these Victoria's Secret angels.
And the makeup artists back in like 05, 06.
And I'll put a few clips so you guys can see.
They were not afraid of it.
Oh, my gosh.
This blush is everything.
And if you don't want something as dewy, this Kosas blush.
Do you see this?
The sheen.
I'm going to just take maybe a little bit of this as well.
This is in hype.
Blush is life.
Okay.
We're kind of like overdoing it a little bit now.
I'm getting a little carried away.
But speaking of Kosas, these new powders.
This is in a baby pink candy cloud set.
I'm going to take the baby pink shade.
And I'm going to go.
And just go over maybe some of that blush that I just went crazy on.
And wipe away any extra powder.
Okay.
We're looking good, fam.
Now, shall we do mascara?
I'm going to go ahead and be extra.
And use the MAC stack lash primer.
This just gives my lashes that extra millimeter of length.
So, I'm going to take it.
And I'm going to just coat my lashes in this white.
I feel like something that was so mesmerizing about the Victoria's Secret fashion show.
And the makeup is it was done very glam.
Right?
Like you wouldn't say that's natural makeup.
But the makeup looked so naturally glam.
Does that make sense?
It's like a naturally glam makeup.
I can't really describe it.
Women did it so well back in the day.
I would say like Marilyn Monroe always had glam on.
But it wasn't this.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Cakey powder glam.
It was a natural glam.
I don't know.
Am I saying this right?
I'm using this is the Milk Makeup Kush Highlight High Roll Mascara.
I'm just going to go over.
This comes off with just warm water in like a tube like form.
So, it's really nice.
And by the way, this mascara doesn't touch.
Well, it touches.
But it doesn't leave these black little dots all over my brow bone where normal mascaras do do that.
So, I think a key thing going back to glam.
I think a key thing is just nailing a glam that clearly you're wearing like makeup.
It's also like I know she's naturally beautiful underneath that makeup because the makeup is done so well.
But it's not overdone to mask anything.
I guess that's what I'm looking for.
And this is the mascara.
Look how that just like bumped it up.
Also, if you are looking for a mascara that does not move.
Okay, does not move.
I literally wore this for two days while camping in the Sierra National Forest.
The Better Than Sex Foreplay.
I don't know.
This doesn't claim to be.
Oh, it's a primer.
It says instant lengthening, lifting, and thickening mascara primer.
This does not move.
So, when I want to be able to take off my mascara after like only like a few hours, I don't wear that.
Because that stays.
Now, if you are in school, you are doing 10-hour days, you are going on vacation and wear that.
It does not leave your eyelashes without an oil cleanser, a regular cleanser, a cleanser babe.
I'm going to touch on my brows just a little bit.
This is the NYX brow pencil in brunette.
I'm just going to go a little bit.
Just a little.
I don't want to go too wild.
Okay, I'm just going to put the leftover blush.
Should I do the inner corner highlight or should I do the lashes first?
I have Ardell demi lashes.
Classic.
You can cut them up.
Or the medium trios by Ardell.
Ardell is just a go-to.
I also found these random lashes on TikTok shop for like a dollar.
So, I'll try to link those somewhere in case anyone's interested.
These are also very affordable.
I'm probably just going to do, should I cut these up?
The trios, the medium lash.
This little velour lash pen.
Okay, we're going to just, ah, maybe not hold this pen.
We're going to just go ahead.
Okay, now I'm going to go.
And I kind of apply it on a tilt.
So, the tilt, yeah.
Okay, the last one we're applying.
I'm going to go.
Let's do my inner corner highlight.
Classic.
This is a classic.
This is just a classic pop.
The benefit highlighter I use for every time.
Every time I do inner corner highlight, this is what I use.
I just, it's insane.
Can we just talk about this for a second?
Girl, this is actually crazy.
Look at this inner corner highlight.
This is so Victoria's Secret.
I don't know where they got this idea from back in the 2000s.
I don't know who did it first.
Maybe they did.
Maybe this was their idea.
Genius.
Iconic.
I'm sorry, I'm so passionate about it.
It's so iconic and gorgeous.
For highlight, I'm going to take, again, this Drunk Elephant.
I think sometimes shimmery powders and shimmers for highlight make the skin just look a little bit more of that not so natural look to it.
I'm just going to go ahead and take this and just lightly re-put in that liquid highlighted look.
I'm going to put some on the tip of my nose and then, of course, here.
It just brings the skin back to life with that glow.
It just really is, wow.
I had not used this ever before and I had it in my makeup kit at my dad's house in Michigan.
I used it and I was like, this is perfection.
I'm just going to run some down my neck.
See, I'm getting a little oily.
Taking this Kosas, I'm going to just go, boom.
Now, this is over the top.
This is the extra.
This is the most you can do.
You do not have to do this.
You can adjust it to however you want it.
You know what I mean?
I take this look and I do no false lashes or less inner corner highlighted white, less blush.
You can adjust it.
Just to say that.
I'm going to spray my face.
If you're going to get a setting spray that makes your makeup last for however long you want it, Urban Decay.
If I could work with two brands right now, Hourglass, Urban Decay are my dream campaign brands.
They have served me so well.
Even Charlotte Tilbury too and MAC.
These brands, let's spray.
I have not been able to put down the Urban Decay lip liners in Naked 2 and Stark Naked.
I've been using them like crazy.
We're just going to take the Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude.
I'm going to go and outline my lip.
Just this lip.
Okay, wait.
Let me show you something classic.
I threw this in my bag about a month ago.
I've had this for years.
Velvet Teddy by MAC.
Look at this.
This color.
Ready?
It's so good.
Yeah, this is a really, really nice color.
If you want a bit of gloss to your lips, why not plump them up a little bit with the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme.
Now, we have this effortless glossy lip.
Do I have anything else I want to share?
No, let me put a shirt on.
I'm going to put some perfume on and we'll be done with this.
Some final touches now that I let my hair down.
You can look like a goddess all you want, but if you stink, we're not going to stink.
We're going to smell like a literal angel.
These three fragrances.
I have a couple of fragrances in rotation, but these.
I just received this.
This is the Strawberry Letter by Fleur.
This is a spicy strawberry.
Oh, my gosh.
It smells so good.
This is also a body spray.
The Vanilla Skin.
I have this in my purse, so when I'm just traveling around, I spray this.
It's so yummy.
It's a spicy, warm, sexy vanilla.
This is almost gone.
This is the Laura Mercier Amber Vanilla.
Oh, I get so many compliments when I wear this.
It's actually insane.
It's one of my favorite fragrances ever.
This is not a super spicy vanilla.
It's more of a cottony, light vanilla.
Definitely more on the softer vanilla and not so dark and sexy.
This gives you more of that candy vanilla smell.
This is more of a lighter, cottony vanilla smell.
Also, one last thing.
This is the Ava NYC Silver Glitter Spray.
I'm going to toss some of this in my hair.
I just feel like the Victoria's Secret Angel Girlies,
the sparkle, the shine, the glow was just all there.
I'm going to take this.
I'm scared.
Can you see it?
No.
Here, wait.
Oh, my gosh.
Do you see it?
Oh, my gosh.
It's going everywhere, but it's so pretty.
Okay, enough with that.
Okay, guys.
Thank you so much for watching this video.
I really hope you liked my take on the Victoria's Secret is back
and this makeup never left look.
My old makeup video just needed a revamp.
I hope that you're able to draw some inspiration from this
and feel like your own Victoria's Secret angel
because if you embody self-confidence, self-love, love for other women
and people, you are a Victoria's Secret angel.
That's why I think I fell in love with the brand and the makeup
and all of it because these girls also embodied those amazing people
or at least they did a good job showing me that they did.
Anyways, I hope you guys love my remake of this makeup look.
Let me know if you guys like it.
Thank you again so much always for watching my videos,
and I'll see you in the next one.
