Coming up a bogey at the last
all the path 311th and he's
going to get it straight back.
Look at this go in.
What an eagle shot for the day.
Joe Dean, that's how you bounce back.
Did somebody just say that was
a difficult green to hit?
Not for Joe Dean.
If he's going to use a backstop,
need to take a little bit to the right
of the whole maybe a yard or two
and it'll spin back and left,
but I think he's just taking dead aim.
Well, I've seen.
It's gone from bad to worse for beer,
so he's eight under playing the
eights and made a seven triple bogey.
Is it a bit better here?
Well, he's got one back to pull under.
The tough day for him.
To 18 just down short of the green top
Clements you beauty what a way to finish it off.
Left hand flag today Jimmy trying
to draw this one in if he can.
16 yards on.
Right about their top class shots again.
Former major champion USPGA champion.
Patrick Raid for birdie at the 2nd.
There's only been six birdies so far
and it is now 7 as Patrick Reid
pours that one in.
Third toughest hole on the golf course
today and a lovely message this morning on.
Thanks for my nice Spanish man told me.
It's a tough name to pronounce,
but it's pronounced pooch.
Many of the parts outside 20 feet up and
over some kind of rich like this for Hidalgo
up and over the Ridge back the other way.
Beautiful never anywhere else
and that is what he needed.
Settle the nerves and he wanted to
hear that first cheer of the day.
Unusual putting style that
certainly unusual posture.
Almost looks like the putter is outside
his eyeline long way away from him.
But it's been working well recently
and it's working well again.
Chewing the gum,
that's something he started doing recently.
Apparently it does help to calm your nerves.
Now Hidalgo, oh magic.
That is going to be one of the best up
and downs we see all week long back to
back birdies and he's back on track Hidalgo.
Now the mark is 11 under.
Will this be the momentum shift he needs?
He's got it, you'll see.
Let's get back to 6 under.
Another Spanish birdie.
How about tonight?
David pooch back to back birdies.
He joins the fray at minus 7.
Is he going to play all the way up there?
Does he like it?
That's great shot.
It's really well played.
Nice to have you back cheap.
It's good to be back, Sam.
I've got all the news on the ROM driver as well.
That should feed down,
but I'm not telling yet.
Saving it.
Better watch, I might know as well
and I'll get it out before you.
Honestly, Spain 123.
So all three were good picks in
the end over to David pooch.
Twirl of the club after he hits it.
He must like it and why wouldn't he?
Gorgeous shot there from pooch.
Well, farbring was for to get to 7 under.
3rd place. Oh yes, yes.
Very nice, beautiful,
very dirty and a 65 for Jan's
at farbring who's into the top three.
Pretty small target.
Gee, it's quite tricky getting the
driver back and knowing whether
to hit it or not, you know, it's.
You see the tennis from the chains
are rapidly just bring it straight
out and go with the driver.
Beautiful shot walking around.
Pooch. This to get to a under.
Allison, you said earlier you'd
love to see three Spaniards.
The last group tomorrow.
It's looking more like it.
It's time to make a move.
It's time for a massive cheer.
Never anywhere and I tell you what,
that cheer will be heard further
back up the hole and it won't make
Anghel Pidalgo feel any more
comfortable having John Rahm
right in his rearview mirror.
I reckon looking to ease off at 9-9.
What's another one? Look at this.
Oh my goodness me.
Is I am players on fire.
Looks OK, lie there.
Yeah, thankfully the grass is growing
with him which will help from 151
yards playing for a bit of release.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, excellent.
Mr Naughty, as you mentioned earlier,
we made two at 9-2 at 10-3 and we
saw Pooch in the second of 15.
This to get to 9 under tied
with Rahm in second place.
Oh yeah, nowhere else.
Nowhere else. Great run.
There's that nervous boy knocking
one in really and it was crucial,
vital for him for his confidence,
but you know.
It's just a baby.
Jody, that's a birdie eagle birdie, yeah?
So Dean gets the 8 under.
Type 3rd round about 90 yards,
just a yard or two closer than what
Reed had this ball is going to release.
He took it straight up in the air.
I still think it will release some.
Oh come on, come on.
Well, as Jay said.
He's just dead straight one.
Oh, that was quite a soft one.
That's perfect.
Beautiful drive.
Come on, I care.
Little feathered fade there.
Beautiful tee shot.
Nothing fancy.
He just left to hold it off
and threw the ball.
He's got this one just right though.
There you go.
Our leader that to go three clear again.
For around of 68.
Good chance down there.
You can see what it means to him.
He's struggling to get his card.
Pooch for double digits.
Maybe for the final group tomorrow.
He joins at John Rahm at 10 under
around of 65 today.
Blemish free.
The Spaniards keep delivering today.
Oh yeah.
His number four coming.
Fantastic finish from John Rahm.
Good motion around the latest driver.
We've seen some high fives from him.
Oh yeah, baby.
Fantastic.
Brilliant.
John Rahm, what a day.
65, no bogeys out there.
Talk us through your day.
Overall, very good day.
Felt good with pretty much everything.
Felt better than any other day.
Felt stronger.
Unfortunate situation over there on the 60
to have to not be able to go over the creek
on that hole, which would have been pretty easy today
and then have to play seven into the window.
Three would.
And then after that, it really didn't affect me too much.
Maybe a couple of longer irons coming into some par fours.
But at the end of the day, on this course,
if you put it in the fairway, you're always going to be better
than hitting the driver off the off line.
So they did a pretty good job mitigating that.
But I was happy to get the driver as quickly back as I did.
I just assumed I was going to play the rest of the round without it.
And I was happy to hear those news, I think, on on 12,
that I was going to have it by 14.
So I think it might have been what, I don't know,
was just a little moment of happiness.
They gave me gave me a little boost for the rest of the round.
What how much of a test was that mentally to lose your driver then
and playing almost half your arm just with the three word?
Honestly, the biggest difference was was six.
That's I mean, instead of hitting four iron,
possibly eight iron to driver flip wedge to that green where,
you know, you actually have control over the ball
and can spin it quite easily, makes a big difference.
Obviously, on eight, I'll be able to go seven.
I'll be able to cover that bunker on the right
and make the shot into the green a lot easier
with a three would I had to hit a good three would and then a good five would.
Right. And probably was a little bit too aggressive today of the fairway
and had to lean on a really good bunker shot on the whole to get myself a birdie.
But past that, it really didn't make a difference.
Right. Twelve was maybe the one.
But again, luckily, at least I had a wider fairway to hit it into.
I think it was already after six.
I was just like, well, it is the reality.
It is what it is. And this is what we're going to do.
Tomorrow, you've got a chance for this event for the fourth time.
It looks like it's going to be an all Spanish three ball final group
with one of your best friends, David Puch, as well in there.
How excited are you ahead of tomorrow?
I'm very excited.
I have yet to be paired with them in any tour, in any tournament.
We play a lot at home, but it just hasn't happened yet.
So I'm glad that our first time is going to be here
in the final ground, in the final group.
Don't know what Angel is doing now in 18, but we're
being how 18 is playing right now, possibly going to be two and three back.
Right. But which is not a massive difference in this
on the golf course where things can go sideways quickly
and somebody can make birdies pretty quickly.
So I'm excited to see him in action.
He's he's a very high quality player.
And I'm actually excited to see Angel as well.
They've all been playing really good the last few years.
And hopefully I can end up with the win.
But it's definitely going to be a Sunday atmosphere wise
that they probably haven't experienced yet.
It's going to be a lot of people watching and it's going to be a lot of fun.
Great play today, John. Good luck tomorrow. Thank you.
