(Laliga 2024/2025): Highlights REAL MADRID - ESPANYOL

Welcome to the Santiago Bernabeu for match five of week six start tonight. Vinicius is among the substitutes. We have to recover, then we're stopping the play. Gula to Mbappe. Initial save from Garcia and behind now for a corner. I think it should be said the last year for him has been extraordinary. Rodrigo for Kylian Mbappe. So close visitors. Tejero and a really good turn inside, which took us and they're coming forward. Romero just about evades the challenge of Valverde and then goes for goal. And he had Thibaut Courtois touching the ball. Oh, that might be a chance. This is Joffre Carreras on the run. Needs support, has support. He squeezed it in off the goalkeeper and extraordinarily Espanyol lead at the Bernabeu. Wow, that's that's history. That's amateur. And Valverde. Another rocket. And once again, Garcia makes the block, but it's with Bellingham and it's squirmed under and Carvajal is equalized. They did not trail for long. Barcelona, Mbappe, what a touch inside. Flicked back for Rodrigo. And Leandro Cabrera. 50 straight games. However, here is Joffre looking to make it 2-1. There is no foul on Vélez. The referee indicates the champions substitute Vinicius in possession. His ball is wonderful. What a connection between the two Brazilians. Real Madrid in front for the first time tonight. Rodrigo with the finish. And they're coming forward again. Real Madrid, it is Vinicius. There's daylight now. What a difference Vinicius has made. Through to Hendrik. That's unbelievable. How's he kept that in and danced around Romero, who pulls him back so deliberately for him. Benzolo, Hendrik, literally looks as if it was a rugby tackle. So we'll see whether or not that was in the 90. Mbappe can step up and score to make it 4-1. To just fix things up. So it's good for him, good for Manolo. Well, they gave it their very best, Espanyol, and they took the lead at the Bernabeu. Their lead lasted just four minutes. Carlo Ancelotti.
