Highlights: GA Eagles - Ajax | Eredivisie 2024/2025

Ajax' formation is quite a surprise. Wout Weghorst is on the bench today. A great field by Adelaarshorst. Jaak Laak. Hato is gone. Can Adekanje use his speed? Can he see that Edgards is still there? What a ball from Adekanje. Pass chased by Edgards. Oh, that's too short. Here's Adekanje. Adekanje keeps an eye on the ball. That's the problem in the last phase for Adekanje so far in this game. Passveer's fault, because he caused Adekanje's problems. He had to move the ball like that. Traoré, Rensch. Rensch, hard. A pathetic shot by Divard-Rensch. Ciutello solves it skillfully. Skillful, skillful, skillful. That wasn't skillful at all. Kost passes it to his kneepad. Adelaarshorst is in a tough phase. Everyone is getting nervous. But Ciutello gets over it. Well played. Adekanje. Go-ahead in motion. Del is on the way. Adekanje, to his left foot. He shoots it to Rebrejo. Will he make it to Del's feet? Can he make it? There's Adekanje. But he hits it. Exceptionally well. Breom. Antman. Antman, there. The big chance. What a save by Passveer. He scores. That was the best chance for Go-ahead Eagles. Five minutes into the second half. Edgerton close to the opening goal. And then Passveer. I don't think he hits it. I thought he was going to hit it. Now it's a double change. Klaassen for Taylor. Taylor was a bit nervous on the pitch. Kaplan, intercepted by Wijnaldum. The first minute for him this season. Maybe he should have seen it in an Ajax shirt over Wijnaldum. He's got himself in the net. Stoorn on the bench. Go-ahead's football. Go-ahead forgets to take the ball. And he manages to do it. A bit of a foul. An old Ajax fan, Jan Sanne, with the opening goal. Ajax make a huge mess of the second half. The football doesn't. And Go-ahead is getting more and more. Edgerton was close. Jan Sanne scores. Hato wasn't playing well, so it wasn't easy for him. Of course, this is a hospital ball. They smell it, they feel it, they taste it. And then they dive in like a troublemaker. And eventually, Jan Sanne with the shot. That leads to the opening goal. Guy. Goal by Guy. Maybe an automatic reflex, but Go-ahead is a bit behind. And here's the equaliser by Davy Klaassen. He's just in it. Scoring power, deep pass. Everything that was missing in the first 68 minutes, he's delivering now. It's his 75th competition for Ajax in his third period. This is a base for Weghorst. He doesn't give up. He probably hoped he would. Hardly ready. Hardly in contact with the ball. Brobby for the last part of the duel. Forward, towards Nauber. And then Apelver-Hens. Corner. Nachtegaal says that's not the intention, that's a foul. That's not allowed anymore. If you do that too much, you'll get yellow. Nauber. But that they're massively appalling here, is understandable. But he's being pushed aside. Nachtegaal is still looking to see what he thinks. Or is it just a yellow card? Yes, that was it. He handed out the yellow card. Rensch, he'll be back in five minutes. Rensch, Brobby, Jim. And Rasmussen. He's a bit in the middle, so it's a goal. This is the corner kick. Back to the second post, Brobby. He's caught up, and then the goalie. Nauber is standing there with his wide chest against Douw. Could he have fallen for Ajax? Those were the last actions of a poor quality match. Ajax can take that into account. After the 5-0 against Fortuna, there was no convincing result. At Go Ahead, they got that point, which was well-deserved. Maybe as a blessing.
