The Candyman can sing. Timothy Jalame is flexing his golden ticket and pipes.
While promoting his latest film Wonka in Tokyo on Tuesday, the 27-year-old jokingly sang the
Oompa Loompa song to his co-star Hugh Grant while the pair gushed about working together.
I've always been very nice to my films and I really hope you like this one. He's very good in it.
During the festive event, Timothy rocked a unique purple ensemble in homage to his
character Willy Wonka and got candid about working on the flick.
Paul King wrote a beautiful script here about a young Willy Wonka who follows his dreams.
If you would have told me when I was 12 years old or when I was 10 years old watching the Johnny
Depp version of Willy Wonka that I get to be here in Tokyo promoting this movie as Willy Wonka
standing next to Hugh Grant, I would have told you that I was, you know, you were lying. So
I guess like the movie follow your dreams.
This isn't the first time the Dune star has seemingly been excited to talk about the
highly anticipated prequel. While hosting Saturday Night Live just after the end of
the SAG-AFTRA strike, he joked about the project in his monologue.
Give me, you'll be in a world of shameless self-promotion. It's okay, I can say
that my new film Wonka is out in theaters December 15th. Fandango. Keyword Hugh Grant.
Damn Hugh Grant got that Oompa Loompa dump truck.
