Best of Boston Celtics | 2018 NBA Season

11 minute mark of the second quarter, the shot clock is down to three. Kyrie Irving, doing an inch on the defensive line. He's about to get three, but then shot up and down! Oh, Kyrie, masterful inside. Oh, I was getting ready to say great defense, which it was by Malcolm Brogdon. How did Kyrie get out of that double team? 6.45 remaining, Tatum drives down, and throws it down! Wow! There's Kyrie Irving. Boy, he is so smooth at handling the ball. Here comes Kyrie's swerving through the lane. Oh, I got to get my stuff on. If we were at Rucker Park, they'd be like, ooh, ooh. It's a beautiful play by Simmons, getting Bellinelli a wide open shot. Oh, my! Oh, and Marcus Moritz on the receiving end! Boy, how good was that from Rozier? Wow! How comfortable is Rozier? He does, Brian, his ability to shoot the ball, put it on the floor, get to the paint, so impressive. Tatum drops Covington and scores. You were talking about that. Horford drives and finishes! So guarding Rozier with five fouls. He goes by, a little crossover, step back, wide open, and it's good! And Boston has it! And it's for Brown, but Rozier takes it on himself, and he puts Bledsoe on skates. Wow! What a shot by that young man. Timer at four, Larkin fires, Ojele gives it up, Brown with one second, three, good! With point one, Boston in front! Drilled it, and really, with one tenth of a second, there's nothing they can do to get a shot. Right, the only thing they can do is throw it at the rim to Gobert. Oh. Oh! Big shot, Marcus. So Jason Tatum there with the assist. Brown. Into Horford. Horford. He's gonna take it. Got it! Coming up, they pulled him off the court, essentially. Oh, Brown! I'm sorry to interrupt, that was too soon. To Corey Joseph, now Bogdanovich. Oh, no, no! And Rozier dunks it! Let's go, the third starter, he double figures with ten, smart. Loving to Horford! Carmelo Anthony to make big shots. Ooh, nice move. And there was that, a big time shot by Jason Tatum. Out of the timeout. Jetsons get eight here in the quarter. Irving, oh, splits the defense with the dribble. Oh, Kai Reed! Kai Reed swerving, getting anywhere he wants on the floor. What he wants to do. Yeah, what he really wants to do is play pick and roll. Kai Reed had nowhere to go on that baseline. Fade away with the rainbow jumper, nothing but net. Frontline point guard. Whoa! Look at Tatum on this play. Out of the right side of your screen, look at that, over the top. And they try to put a body on him, two of them. Gets it back and gets a second dunk. Oh, that extra dribble rooted the defense. Watch this one here, that extra dribble, look at it. Wouldn't want to defend him, that's for sure. Irving again, oozing eyes from the crowd. Manages to get the ball back, putting on a show with a ball hand, and way up it goes! Oh, and a play from Irving. Just in, Mike, his handle has gotten better. Irving with the ball, left side of the circle. Fakes, fakes, dribbles on Curry, spins on Curry, good fake, goes to the baseline, shoots the jumper, it's up and good. Tim, you don't stop that move. Nope. Nobody does. Oh, that's a sweet move from Kyrie Irving. And Mike, you know you said your teammates love him for loose balls? Not really, that's what they love about him. Having trouble to get inbound, inspires to Horford underneath. Horford gets it to go. One-point lead for Boston, timeout Philly with 5.5 remaining. Horford hand fighting with Covington to get free. And it drops in, Celtics by one. Celtics have a foul to give as well, as we consider what we could see from Philadelphia here at inbound. Bad team searching. Oh, sweet pass, count it, and a foul. Marcus Smart with a beautiful look. Beautiful offense, unselfish play, a spectacular pass by Smart. The fabulous finish off the glass. The rookie from SMU. I'm told by our producer Tim Corrigan it's a late contusion. Oh, and a block. Marcus Smart rejected. Lonzo Ball is turning the corner looking to finish at the rim. Smart comes over and says, get it out of here. Not on my watch. Spectacular defense. Jalen. Horford off the bounce, takes it to the basket. Take a look at Al's drive, that up fake really nailed Valanchunas, and boy, that was a power finish. Al Horford played for Kenny Atkinson. A steal, and look out, Jalen Brown, he can sky. Off of the field, realizes he has Basin, windmill. Basin Tatum. Look at Tatum, he's coming down the floor and no one slid over to help. I mean, there's nobody at the rim. Kyrie in the right spot, gets it ahead. Rozier for two. And Terry will get to the line. They've been able to supplement in what they did organizationally. Oh, my goodness. Jalen Brown put the flaps down and slammed it home. Rozier, Ogillay. And that's Tatum down the lane. To get the rights to get Tatum, and you see Jason Tatum go up. Tatum. Tatum has the final with a shot clock rolling down. A three-pointer from Jason Tatum. Got the big extension this summer that will start in 2019 is Irving. What a move by Kyrie Irving. Kyrie Irving starting to percolate, pick and roll. How about the hard, jagged cut he gets. Holy shit. Timing by Al Horford. Damon Lurie gets downhill, and there's Al timing it up. Hornets have only made four of 17 shots here in the first quarter. Wow. Jason Tatum. Look at this. You can't teach this. In and out. Reject the screen. 7.3 left. Celtics with the ball in their front court. No timeouts remaining. It's a one-point Houston lead. Here is Horford. Yes! Is that growth. Tatum with the righty hammer pounding it down. What a cut by Tatum. Nice find by Horford. Putting the ball on the floor. The guy can do everything as a basketball player. Oh, Daniel Tice. Daniel Tice is hung in the air. We call that a boost. Watch Anthony Davis come underneath him. Tice hanging in the air. Rebound taken off by Morris. Forced rebound from Morris off the bench. Tatum with the dribble and the pull-up. Got it. Are you kidding me right now? Mike, are you kidding me right now? Watch this. One, two, three, four. Ooze Oz from the crowd. Nothing but the bottom of the net. Was on the spot up in that time. Moving without the basketball as a live cutter. Pass inside and Brown throws it down. Kyrie Irvin making plays with a beautiful look away. Drop-off pass. Out of pick and roll. Getting to the scene again. Spectacular find. Field 15 points now. Brown to two. Jalen Brown jump, hang in the air. Jalen, it helps if you actually look at the rim. No need, Scal. I got this. Here comes Brown. Brown lay fire. Jalen Brown with a dazzling move. Perfect. Cut it out. How did the guy lose the ball three times on a possession and still get a layup and get by everybody? What mixed in with some of the starters can do is rest. Set back by Taylor. Slammed in. Smart comes out of the rafters. Hammers it home. Putting on a show here. Look at the put back. We thought Jason Tatum's was nice. Marcus Smart with the flex out here. Oh, this is spectacular. Rozier comes up top. Guarded by Porter. Rozier looks. Wants to get it to Tatum. Tatum turns. Tatum drives. Layup is up. Count it. And a foul. Marcus. Good hustle. Jabari Bird. Hustle played. Ed Brown takes away the layup. And there's Bird out of nowhere. When you talk Bird, you talk flying. Tatum with the steal. And the basket. Backs away. Resets to Smart. Shot clock already down to four. Smart dribbles around Maker. Into the paint. Lays it up and in. Remarkable play by Smart. Defense by Aaron Baines. Bounce pass. Oh. Jalen Brown. Elevation. There is Bryant. My hamstring is just fine. Played extremely well. Irving. Cross over. Flips it to Baines. Count it. It's a little razzle dazzle. And it results in Baines with a chance for a three-point play. That won't go. Rebound. Tipped by Thompson. Knocked away by Brown. Here comes Rozier. Throws it down. Rozier off the steal. Understands LeBron James. He's looking to chase him down. Says, not on my watch. Take that. I call that Terry Claw.
