Mercedes has just added their 3rd 3-row capable SUV and it's their smallest.
Slotted between the entry-level GLA and compact size GLC is the all-new 2020 GLB, available
in front or all-wheel drive.
Pricing starts at $37,595 including destination.
The optional 3rd row allows for seating up to 7 and adds $850 to the price.
Competing with the likes of the BMW X1, Range Rover Discovery Sport and VW Tiguan, the GLB
flaunts more of an off-road oriented design.
On the GLB 250 4MATIC, the standard Off-Road Engineering Package adapts the engine's
power delivery and the ABS control to tackle off-road terrain while the all-wheel drive
system can lock distributing the power 50-50 between the front and rear axles.
Power stems from a 221 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-4 and is paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch
automatic transmission.
Gas mileage using premium fuel is rated at 26mpg in combined driving.
Inside, the GLB receives the latest Mercedes-Benz tech including their new infotainment system
known as MBUX, a heads-up display and semi-autonomous driving capabilities.
