What's up my piano friends! Zachivance here and today I got one thing for you to practice every
single day. This simple exercise covers all the bases, makes you better at songs, it improves
your sense of rhythm, hand independence, chords, and it starts building that ever-important finger
strength and dexterity. It's perfect for beginners, we're gonna get a lot accomplished in a very short
amount of time, and you can master this exercise in less than a week. Alright, I'm excited and ready
to go. Let's get started. Alright, so we're gonna start by putting our right hand on C and G like
this, and we're just going to stick to just these notes to make it nice and easy for you.
Then for the left hand, we're going to play C, G, and C. Now try to learn this shape because
we're going to use this shape the rest of the video. So after we play our C chord,
then we're going to shift this entire shape down to a G, and then shift the shape up to an A,
and then to an F. So all together for step one, we have this.
Now at any point in this video, if you're struggling getting hands together coordination,
don't worry about it for now, we're going to fix all of those issues at the end of the video.
Alright, now for step two, all we're going to do is we're going to play four times in our right
hand for every one note in our left hand. So it's going to sound like this.
And once you work this for a few days and speed up,
it's already going to sound like it could be a song. Check this out.
But guess what? It gets even better for you because you can play any rhythm you want in
your right hand and it's going to sound awesome. So for example, you could just make up a rhythm
like this. Or if you want to just jam out a bit more, you could play something like this.
Or even something like this.
It's all the exact same notes, we're just switching up the rhythm. So be creative with
this and make up whatever you want. Alright, so next up, we're going to add a simple but
cool sounding right hand pattern that sounds very romantic. It's perfect for playing for
your wife or husband or partner or whoever you have a little crush on. But first, if you like
this video, hit that subscribe button and hit the bell to get notifications. I'd hate
for you to miss out on a future video that could really skyrocket your piano learning.
Alright, so next up, we're going to simply label our two right hand notes,
top and bottom. And we're simply going to alternate top, bottom, top, bottom, right?
So practice this slowly at first, but once you get it sped up, it's going to sound like this.
Sounds romantic, right? I could totally see myself writing a love song to this.
And guess what? If we just reverse the order to bottom, top, bottom, top,
we have yet another pattern that sounds romantic. It's going to sound like this.
And finally, let me give you a really cool optional challenge pattern that sounds really
freaking cool. It's a little bit tricky, but most beginners can still get this with a bit
of practice. So the pattern is top, bottom, bottom, top, bottom, bottom, top,
bottom. And you just repeat that over and over. It's going to sound like this.
It sounds awesome. But remember, if you're struggling with this one, don't worry about it.
It's optional. So I'd watch the rest of the video and you can always come back to it later.
Alright, so next up, we're going to cover some simple left hand variations that really give
this pattern a lot of soul and a lot of oomph to it. But first, this is a ton of stuff to remember.
So if I were you, I would just get the cheat sheet now so that you don't forget anything.

Alright, so next let's learn some cool left hand stuff. So just a heads up,
this is the point where a ton of beginners start to struggle with getting hands together. If this
is you, remember, don't worry, we're going to solve that problem for you at the end of the video.
Alright, so just like your right hand, you can play your left hand in any rhythm and it will
sound cool. So for example, you could play two notes for every chord in your left hand, it's
going to sound like this. Or you could play four notes for every chord. Or of course, you can make
your own pattern and just jam out however you want. Alright, next let me show you something
really cool, how you can turn this exercise into an actual full song. Now of course for you,
you might have to practice all of these prior steps for about a week or so before you get to
this point. But once you do, it sounds really, really cool. So let me show you how I might
integrate all of these variations we just learned into an actual song with an intro,
verse, pre-chorus, chorus, and outro. You could literally play what I just played in about a week
if you practice this thing every day. Alright, so finally, if you're struggling to get your
hands together coordination, don't worry, this is a super common issue beginners have. But it's
also a really easy fix if you apply the eight step hands together domination process. Click
here for that video lesson. It'll also cover these seven core hand independence exercises
that you do every day so that you can just take care of your hand independence issues
once and for all and not worry about it anymore. So click the link and I'll see you there.
