अधीती means unbound or unfettered.
The name अधीती includes the Proto-Indo-European root द which means to bind.
So, अधीती means she is unbound or free one.
It also means one of a kind or unique.
She is the representation of the limitless sky and the limitlessness of time and space.
In the Vedas, अधीती is the guardian of all life and the supporter of all creatures.
Sage Marichi is Brahma's one of the mind born son.
Kashyap is one of Sage Marichi's sons.
According to Vishnupurana, अधीती is one of Sage Kashyap's 13 wives.
Vishnupurana also describes her as a daughter of Daksha.
Aditi produced 12 Adityas with Rishi Kashyap.
Aditya means offspring of Aditi or children of Aditi.
The 12 Adityas are
Varun, friend, aryum, भग, anchuman, dhat, and indra.
Shviit, त्वस्ट, पुष्य, बिवश्वन, भामण, the dwarf incarnation of the Vishnu.
One of Aditi's sisters is Diti, who is also one of Sage Kashyap's wives.
Rishi Kashyap and Diti produced many children.
They are called Daityas, a type of demons.
Another sister and co-wife, Dhanu, also produced many children with Sage Kashyap.
They are called Dhanavas.
Dhanavas and Daityas are called together as Ashuras.
In the Hindu pantheon, Aditi remains as the primordial goddess.
According to some legends, like other Hindu gods and goddesses, she also has a mount or sawari, a rooster.
The rooster symbolizes strength and honor.
