Megan, Eve, and Eshaan, how are the three of you today?
Good, how are you? Good to see you.
Hey, Lauren.
Yes, good to see you again, Eve.
Congratulations to the three of you on the series.
I did a book club with my dad on this book.
We actually watched all of the series together last week,
and we both loved it.
When was the last time you either read a book,
watched a film, or a series that made you just like
want to get on the phone or discuss it
with a family member or friend?
Megan, do you have a specific time that you remember that?
Well, first of all, I thought you were just asking
when was the last time you read a book.
I know, me too.
When was the last time you read a book?
Been a minute.
Usually I get about 100 pages in, and then
I don't know what happens.
I just don't finish.
The last time I read a book that really got me, though,
probably Twilight.
What?
No, I'm kidding.
I'm reading a book right now that I really like
actually called God of the Woods.
It's a real page turner.
But again, I still haven't finished it.
I mean, again, I'll talk to you about Twilight all day.
It would be on my home office wall,
but I'm renovating right now.
Eve, what about for you?
When's the last time you read a book or saw a film or series
and you wanted to discuss it with a family member?
OK, so many things because I don't really like
do anything but read books and watch TV.
So the last thing I binged was America's Sweethearts.
Oh, yeah.
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Absolutely.
And then I've been talking about this book a lot,
so I won't talk about that one.
But the other book that I read that made me cry my eyes out
like I was up all night long, like out of control in tears
was this book by an Irish author called
The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes.
It's about this Irish woman who has terminal cancer.
It's like it's old, but it's beautiful and it's really funny
and it's heartbreaking.
And she has like a kid and it's just like it's
it was an emotional road.
It was a really wild Friday night for me.
But yeah, I'm going to add that to my Friday night book list.
Yeah.
Ishan, what about for you?
Well, I read a lot of nonfiction,
so I don't know if I share my book recommendations
with people, but the last series that I saw
that I really loved was The Bear.
And I kind of binged all three seasons at once
and then tried to force my mom into watching it.
She was like, this is not my company.
But I had a bunch of friends that yeah,
I coaxed into watching and I loved it.
I think it was one of the most innovative ways
of using the medium in recent times.
And I'm a fan.
No, The Bear is definitely an excellent, excellent watch.
Well, Megan, your character here, Merit,
I almost wanted to have her have your other character,
Daphne, from The White Lotus by her side here.
I'm curious how Daphne would have gotten along
with the Winberries.
I mean, you could take that girl anywhere.
She probably would fit right in.
I would watch that show.
I would watch Daphne do anything, anywhere, at any time.
Daphne would be the killer.
She would have been the killer.
Maybe.
I actually think Daphne definitely would have been
put the killer up, run for their money.
Yes.
Yeah.
Well, I have to ask about the iconic opening
dance credit sequence.
I just spoke with Susannah about it.
And she said that you guys filmed it
towards the end of production, which I love.
Take me back to set that day, Eve.
Do you guys still remember the choreography?
And how long did you have to,
how many times did you have to do the dance?
I don't remember.
Eve was like the best at it.
It's a muscle memory.
She does it to sleep at night.
No, listen, it's been my dream since I was a young child
to be a famous dancer.
So this was really like, I have hit my goal.
I have hit my goal.
This was like, we had to do reshoots
like almost a year later because of the strike.
We had to shut everything down.
So this was us coming back after New Year's.
We came together for like three days
and we got an email over Christmas being like,
this is your homework.
You got to learn this dance.
And we were like, what?
No, what is this?
And no one gave us any explanation.
And then everybody freaked out and was like,
we're not doing it.
We're not doing it.
And I personally was like.
Sean was definitely all about the dance.
Sean was into it.
And then he was embarrassed by all of us
because we were way worse than him.
I was like, I was like front and center,
like living out like my high school musical dreams.
And then everybody else kind of got into it.
Yeah, eventually it was like,
you just couldn't fight the music.
We had done it like five times and eventually like.
We were seduced.
Gave in.
It's a Meghan Trainor's hit.
Like criminal, criminal.
It's so pretty.
No, but it's, I mean, I have to say,
I was in the same spirit as them.
I was kind of mortified all the more so
because I am a dancer and I was like,
I wouldn't be caught dead doing this.
That's too much.
That's insulting.
But you know, that's what dance does.
Like it's liberating.
And I think towards the end of it,
you had to stop us.
Like we were only too happy to go on.
It was the last scene we all shot together.
And Susanna had to come do it with us.
That's how addictive it was.
Yeah, I was going to say she had to participate.
Well, they are giving me the rap.
Congratulations again to the three of you.
And I'm so excited for audiences
to get to see this series when it's on Netflix tomorrow.
And Eve, you know,
I'm counting down the hours until Bad Sisters.
Oh my God.
Two months.
Two months to go.
Girlfriend.
I cannot wait.
Thank you all so much for your time today.
Thank you.
Your dad.
We said hi.
