Sometimes in life it's easiest to put one foot in front of the other and continue on the same path.
That same path can often lead us astray and the only way to truly live is to find your...
Welcome. I'm in the Scottish Highlands right now and I am going to some of the old
rainforests that Scotland has to offer in the north and right now I'm at these beautiful falls
and I have never seen anything like this in my life. Just truly jaw-dropping. I think the closest
thing I've ever seen that was like this was in Hawaii and actually the mist and the rain
have a very similar vibe but it's just great to be in the home of my ancestors
and learn about my history, my family and just see what this beautiful country
has to offer. So I'm on this little sketchy one-lane road right now so I probably should
get back up to my car. I'm not sure where it's going to go. It's starting to rain pretty heavy so
right now there is a hurricane I guess and we've been getting some extraordinarily
heavy rainfall because of that hurricane last night. It was just absolutely intense.
I slept in the car. Just moody as hell here man. Oh boy got a van turning around up here.
We're at the Glen Etive Forest. I'm sure I'm butchering that name.
All right good morning. I'm just above some rainforest here in Scotland.
Down below I guess there's a trail. A local lady walked by and let me know there's a
kind of like a secret path to the forest trail so I'm going to try to follow it now
and see where it goes. I can't even believe how thick this moss is. It has to be
at least half a foot thick. It would make an excellent memory foam pillow or bed.
I can see this having a whole nice bed in the middle of the forest with this. I mean wonderful
and this rock wall it has to be probably at least a thousand years ago.
Judging by the state absolutely fascinating. Before I go on I really want to summarize
my thoughts. I think pretty much my whole life I've been searching for a place of belonging and
this is the second time I've been to Scotland and I have to say that for the first time in my life
I do feel like I've found a place where I belong and you know this is my home of my ancestors
and I feel it being here. It may seem silly but I would challenge each and every one of you
spend some time where your ancestors came from to truly discover who you are
and where you belong in this world. I think each of us are on a journey and on that note
solo travel while I love having someone around me to enjoy the experiences with
solo travel allows you to really connect with yourself ask yourself the deep questions
to really try your soul and discover what life means to you. Meeting people
along the way can be just as enjoyable as spending time with someone that you are already familiar
with. The amount of people I've already met on this trip you know is in the dozens and
I would say each one of them are going to be a memory that I'll cherish forever so
don't let the unavailability of the people that you know affect your traveling experiences. Be safe
each and every one of us needs to find who we are where we belong and our purpose in life
and what really means the most to each and every one of us. So I'm standing right now
in front of an old I guess you would say cottage but it looks to be all built out of granite
and surrounding this area there's big granite blocks that have very thick moss on it so
if I bump into a local I'll try to find more information on this but just fascinating to
know that someone maybe even a family lived here at one point in this beautiful part of the world.
Famous Harry Potter bridge I'm gonna try to get a non-touristy view if possible
so we'll see we'll walk out a little bit. I've been walking a lot lately so thank you Scotland
for that. Well there isn't a lot to this place it's just a beautiful bridge with a movie that
or I should say movies that have stuck with a lot of us since our childhood in our teenage years
and even new generations now. One of my personal favorites was when the car was flying over the
bridge and I was really hoping for a flying car today but I think we're going to be disappointed
on that one. It's making me want to go back to the car and go find a place to kick back and
watch a Harry Potter movie for sure. I wish you could be here with me everyone. How special is
this? Absolutely epic man. This is gonna be a long and steep walk. It's mostly provinces you know
All right well I finished hiking up this pretty freaking crazy. Gotta love Scotland.
All right it's about to get interesting the rain is coming down and we're not at the top yet.
This old man reminds me of myself.
You can see as he struggles up the hill the elation in his eyes as he reaches the end
of his journey. Do you see views as angels see and darkness as devils may bring?
It's through the fire and tribulation that we may live.
