FIORENTINA-MILAN 2-1 | EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS | SERIE A 2024/25

Fiorentina is chasing a second league victory against Milan which wants to stay in the top group Fiorentina-Milan Welcome to Artemio Franchi the scarf of the Viola fans to greet the two teams in this matc The one that closes the Sunday program not only that of the entire seventh round of the Serie A Any Live Milan if it wins has the chance to keep up with Inter and therefore take the second position with 14 points only behind Napoli In this scenario Fiorentina by winning would reach ten points tying with Roma-Empoli and Atalanta Starting with the home team the Fiorentina with a great goalkeeper in goal De Gea Four defenders as I told you Dodò Comuzo starts in the sixth position a boy from the Viola youth team Ranieri And then there's no Biraghi coming off the bench Gossens will be in the midfield with Bove and Cataldi In this graphic we see Adli as a forward alongside Colpani and Bove The Milan team fields its eleven players from the derby win against Inter with Morata recovered and thus positioned in the central attacking midfield behind Ebrahim Megnane Emerson Royale and Gabbi Atomori are in the lineup The central defensive partnership is confirmed with Theo Hernandez on the left And here arranged in four the midfield line Pulisic and Leao on the flanks there in front Morata and Abraham Even if the number seven will probably move slightly backward Fofanà and Reinders are the two central players Lovcic and Jovic from Calabria are dealing with muscle issues A moment of silence is observed in memory of Franco Chimenti before beginning The president of the Italian Golf Federation has passed away at the age of 85 Seemingly offensive approach by Fiorentina with many players on the halfway line to attack on the first pass Di Maria played the first ball in the Fiorentina-Milan match Gabbia heads straight for Leao Reinders lunges toward Leao a sharp first touch by Dodò keeping it high Dodò in a vertical hole Colpani can already go to the cross Here he is inside Tomori Fiorentina immediately very aggressive as expected Dodo crosses to Mignan Pulisic makes a double move and beats Bove Pulisic is excited Reinders goes central He goes to the right fakes the finish and stretches Emerson Royal Let's see if he crosses Here's the ball for Morata who swings wide with a header to put it in the corner Milan's chance with Alvaro Morata who had tried To head the ball at the level of the second post He scored a header against Lecce Adli found Godmonson widening Colpani's territory Superposition of Dodò Colpani with the elbow the cross Mignan and punches to push away Teo Hernandez Come on Dodò there was contact it continues Godmonson crosses in for Ken who was in an apparently offside position Still on the ground Dodò Teo Hernandez goes to him Check what happened a little while ago Certainly Teo Hernandez is late the contact is light but within the penalty area On the field the referee reviews the play Pairetto has reviewed it a penalty kick Strictness for Fiorentina the foul by Teo Hernandez on Dodò Penalty for the Viola Moise has taken the ball and has already scored against Milan with the jerseys of Verona and Juventus It would be his third goal with a third different jersey against Rosso Nero if he managed to score against Mike Mignan The whistle blows Moise Ken runs Ken Mignan He stops and holds the ball for the possible 1-0 If it remains tied the Mike Mignan parade Ripartenza Viola the pass to Gosens who can reach it But there's also Gabbia trying to close it a not perfect slip a lateral pass In support Bové thinks of the cross there he goes inside Tomori he smashes it and then Cataldi Ken opposes then a kick High flag Invalidated Teo Hernandez cuts inside feeds Leao Leao turn Leao takes the shot then Leao kicks First significant acceleration by Raffa Leao the turn towards Bové then the advance to avoid Cataldi's closure Pulisic can also take a shot Yasin Adli himself against Milan Find the second goal in Serie A the first in the league With the violet jersey he had also scored in the Conference League breaking a very difficult match against The New Saints in Europe Now he scores the second consecutive goal Raffa Leao makes a great recovery as he starts again pursued by Dodò Leao speed up He can also kick but he is central and weak he saves De Gea So for Adli it's the first goal in the league with the viola a consecutive goal considered that of the Conference League Adli turns vertically towards Cataldi he was ready to leave Ken Wider stance Dodò there's also Colpani Dodò sees the goal he scores Greetings Then Colpani under the Colpani goal Purple opportunity on a messy ball that was not easy to put in the net Morata's pass to Abraham a support for Pulisic who fell Reinders tries to serve penalty for Milan All action is fast-paced vertically quick touches to achieve verticality It leads to the intersection between Reinders' run and the Fiorentina defender The one who hinders is Ranieri who goes to speak with the referee Here we see Abraham Pulisic falling passes to Reinders regular position And then try to oppose his run towards Ranieri He takes him down the referee had no doubts Teo Hernandez against David De Gea go Teo Hernandez The first penalty saved by David De Gea in Serie A Neutralizing Teo Hernandez's left Teo Hernandez takes the corner and crosses with Kane touching it it's another corner two minutes of added time we're in the second half Milan-Reinders retreats Leao targets Gudmundsson the challenge continues I shoot cross Abraham Offside De Gea holds it He tried to corner Teo Hernandez but De Gea had already realized immediately Eyes on the ball for Teo Hernandez who doesn't notice the movement Even though De Gea anticipated it and saved it the score remains 1-0 for Fiorentina Why the goal the only one so far was scored by Adli with a powerful shot that touched the ball And then he was sent off while the penalty was being taken So far they have not been realized Kane missed the first shot in the first half and Teo Hernandez missed the other It is about to start the second half at Franchi with Fiorentina which will resume from the 1-0 score at the end of the first half Yassin Adli scored the goal a few weeks ago maybe even a month He was a Milan player then the transfer to Palladino's Fiorentina He was the one who showed the way for Viola to secure three points that seemed certain But in the development they weren't against The New Saints in the Conference League The team starts with three players having received yellow cards Tomori and Morata in Milan and Dodò for the Fiorentina I remind you that even Milan's coach Paolo Fonseca warned about the first ball of the second half Colpani Cataldi quickly inside for Kane offside called play continues Kane goes for the ball alone Kane The flag is raised Now comes the offside alert verification in progress Yes the offside position seems clear Teo Hernandez goes for the second post a header from Morata then in the middle Gabbia goes down penalty Rigore won by Matteo Gabbia who passes in front of Moise Kane And he takes the penalty kick this time the ball is in his hands Tammy Abraham Morata on the edge Gabbia goes for the tackle Kane behind him hits him It's a foul that recalls Teo Hernandez's challenge on Dodo in the first half Tammy Abraham still De Gea The Fiorentina remains 1-0 on the other side They aren't scoring tonight guys they aren't scoring And two saves from De Gea what a game What a night for a player sent to the Manchester United It seemed like a washed-up goalkeeper Teo Hernandez passed to Pulisic Here comes the light of Milan his name is Chris Pulisic He scores the fifth goal of this season His sixth goal of the season brings hope back to Milan He scores the equalizer after two missed penalties Teo Hernandez provides the assist the cross finds the American He is very skilled at the first touch to place the ball on the second post This is a great goal by Pulisic Ranieri's pass Gosens crosses in for Kane great ball Kane He misses with the right foot but it's a good opportunity to put Fiorentina back in the lead Bella's opening by Ranieri to check Gosens' position who seemed to be making progress Nevertheless Gosens is good at crossing from the first but Kane doesn't coordinate well Pulisic takes the free kick and scores goal Then Morata goes down the ball goes out Leao focuses Leao has gone off in his own way So many players with him ball inside for Pulisic Pulisic is anticipated Ranieri's spectacular slip Super intervention The bench then Morata moves inside Richardson sends it out at least a try Kane holds it Poi Emerson Royal overcame the slip while Kane made a strong comeback in this case He has the ball at 20 attacking Kane goes to the right Kane shoots at Tomori Still Kane supported Richardson spread Colpani his area Colpani didn't kick waited for Dodò He scores for him Colpani goes down doubts about the intervention then a cross a header Tomori clears it It continues Dodò goes to the right another cross the ball is in Kane Stop but now we have to see if it's a penalty kick on Colpani It would be Theo Hernandez's second penalty kick of the evening let's see if the Frenchman's disaster is complete tonight No rigor it's closed Gossens' long-range shot on goal is saved again goes in for Ebrahimi great ball Ebrahimi with the feet He wanted to score on the second attempt Richardson headed it short ball Gudmundsson arrives No one takes it Ebraham arrives the last touch revived from the back Watch out for Kane he's down Gudmundsson The first goal in action with Fiorentina Albert Gudmundsson 2-1 Milan distracted and hit by the Viola again Third league goal the burst of a player who has proven to be a champion with the Genoa jersey And even though he had very few situations to show it tonight he provided another proof Kane's cross the most valuable action he has made in this match at number 20 And then the thigh knee and right counterbalance check which is uncatchable by Mike Mignan 2-1 Abito doesn't restart the game he reaches for the card attention it's red Palladino Palladino expelled the Fiorentina coach expelled direct red card for Raffaele Palladino Can Milan stretch their attack Ciuquese shooting from the left shot deflection De Gea Poi Okafor takes the corner kick but what a save David De Gea made Try Gosens pass to Ciuquese see the goal Ciuquese Soccer on a huge scale Morata also targets Richardson the goal to him trying to give hope to Milan quick finger movement after Eto'o Hernandez goes past the goal serves Okafor fakes on Colpani and there is an immediate double chance nearby Okafor passes he is in the area he goes in Abraham with the outside Then he goes down the ball is cleared He is in a lateral fall Tammy Abraham lands control right foot and then Ranieri but a very light touch In my opinion there's nothing Cage Ciuquese cross inside looking for Abraham ball in the box Tomori doesn't find it it's a cross from the back Cagliote touches the first ball Emerson Royal Bové And then Kouame turns it around finds Kane on the other side there's only Biraghi who isn't reached Kane's ball go to the right Kane Cross And the ball didn't go in watch out for Bové Enter the area closed Fofana goes deep into the penalty area looking for a header chance Fiorentina takes it out Reinders arrives Reinders tries to steer inward End credits In the penalty shootout Fiorentina beats Milan 2-1 With Albert Gudmundsson's decisive goal his third in the violet jersey after the lead Yasin Adli stated he himself was the former one but it was a night full of many things And even the two penalties saved by David De Gea Red card for Theo Hernandez furious at Pairetto The captain of Milan is expelled The red-and-black evening ends badly
