hurricane milton vlog! 🌀

Hey guys! Welcome to the hurricane vlog. I wanted to just vlog this hurricane because I vlog all the hurricanes especially if I get to come home early from work or work from home or just like get off of work. So tomorrow I don't have to work and they've initiated like the hurricane team. I got to leave around like 12 30. Today's Wednesday the 9th. I did two cases and they all went well. I want to show you the fit so just wearing this Urban Outfitter oversized tee with my um these are Lululemon sweatpants. These are like the only sweatpants I own. Nice and comfy with my little slippers. It is obviously super rainy and cloudy and windy. I'll go ahead and put these up for now so you guys can see a little bit. Yep super rainy, super cloudy but it's super relaxing and I'm just gonna chill. I might turn off the light to give more mood um like moody vibes but yeah that's the update so far. Okay so on the camera now I haven't used this bad boy in a while. It's the uh it's the M50 but anyway just wanted to give you an update. So it is Wednesday the 9th the evening and we had to take in our Halloween decorations and stuff and then here we get a little peek out here. It's coming down hard. It doesn't you can't really tell I mean you can tell the winds are um picking up and everything and it's pouring. I turned on the lights the Halloween lights to be festive and Piper is all hunkered down. There's Valerie in the wild. This is our Halloween decor um from the outside and my poor sunflowers and then out back here the plants are super heavy with like all that's filled with water so it's like super heavy and everything and that grill is heavy. That one's lighter so we moved that inside. We have our tv all up. I don't know what Piper's doing but anyway that is what we got going on. We got cases of water here and we got Diet Pepsi because that's the necessities and then this is all the stuff that was like kind of outside like trinket everything trinket stuff. So yeah I'm gonna eat dinner pretty soon. I think I'm gonna stay to the faithful green beans and mac and cheese with like some chips probably probably. All right so update out here. Well I'm still fogging up here. It's coming down quite hard not as it's not like anything too crazy but rainy and windy. It's definitely blowing in. You can see how this oh my goodness yeah let's zoom in. Yeah you can see that's a lot more clear you can see the wind and the rain. Okay so I'm gonna show you guys around the neighborhood kind of like I did on TikTok. I'm gonna kind of go the route that I went showing TikTok and everything. It's quite cool here but this is our lake and at least from what my mom said I think they like drained this so I don't know why it's not focusing. Okay I don't know why this was on manual focus but anyway they drained some of this because they knew the hurricane was coming so if they hadn't drained it it would probably be even higher but you can see it's quite high. We haven't lost any trees here and surprisingly these little guys I thought we would have easily just lost them because look they're hanging on by like a twig. Walking more around here. We do have a swimmer I'll put because I like zoomed in on him on my phone. I'm like hey oh my gosh there's someone swimming. Does anybody see that? Yeah there's like a swimmer. Okay happy hurricane. Swimming during a hurricane that's cool. Just got a lot of like stuff blown around here from the trees but I'm still surprised like all these little trees held up and the winds guys. Oh yeah and I also wanted to mention they took in all of the patio furniture which is smart because that wind was crazy last night. There are a few other hurricanes that like sounded like Milton. It was super crazy like just the noise. It woke me up around 3 a.m. couldn't really fall back asleep until like 4 30. But here's where the fun part happens which this is like anticlimactic but three trees are down which is so funny. Those little trees held up just fine and then this so don't really know how. Well they weren't like maybe in the ground that well like the other little ones but I find it funny that like that little guy stayed put but yeah like all of this fell. These little shrub things they're still put. I got the mail when I got my dog and so far everything here almost looks normal which is crazy. I'm very lucky. I feel lucky too because the roads are like not flooded. That was kind of I swear flooding's like my biggest concern because I would not want to be stuck somewhere and have to like paddle somewhere. I would think that that would be just so bad and then you couldn't even like get in your car to leave. So luckily this was the worst that happened and it's not even on our property so and everything is out back. It's good. Closer to our house you can see our cars there. No flooding which is good so at least I can get out of this part of the neighborhood. I don't know if I can go onto Celebration Avenue because trees might be down like across the road and then you really can't like do anything so you're kind of you know fucked. I don't think I'm definitely not gonna be going anywhere today I don't think because I don't know about the roads elsewhere but my immediate road is like okay which is good. Time for the vlog update. So I can get that last part up. Yeah I'm just showing the vlog the aftermath. Um just got a lot of herbs down there. Surprisingly Sherry said everything stayed put. It did. There wasn't anything out here that even blew even at the peak of the wind between like that four o'clock time period. Yeah. Piper? I don't know Piper she didn't even make a noise so I don't know if she was scared or not. Obviously it's still looking pretty gray out. It's still super windy but not that crazy and I'm glad that the rain's held off but it's quite cool out. I don't even know what temperature it is right now. Nothing. Alex wants to go to Starbucks because she thinks they're open. Well no Sherry also wants to see the roads. I'm gonna ride and I'm gonna ride along with her. Piper is. Hey I'm gonna ride too. All right you can come. I'm gonna come. Fine. Let's all go. Let's all go to Starbucks. Let's all go to Starbucks. Let's all go to Starbucks. All right. Do you want to go to Starbucks? Whenever Sherry is right there or putting on her shoes Piper barks. Yep. She knows something's happening. Yeah we're gonna go out. You wanna go out? You want to go? Go to Starbucks? All right. Wow very safe. Anyway. Yep there's just a lot of things down. What is that even called? Like stalks from the tree? I don't know. I don't know either. Parts of the tree. Part of the palm frond. Right. All right we got some action over here. Little tree down there. Oh they just went and stacked the top of Alex over here. Yeah. That looks like the way a little tornado would like. Yeah. Well I kept saying. Oh guys by the way we're having a whole family gathering because we got Piper over here and Sherry and Valerie. Oh my goodness. I am. And over here to your left you can see a tree limb. But that's because they only have palm trees on basically. Yeah and these are all older trees too. These are older. Oh we got trees. We got two trees down here. Yeah. Oh. There's a bunch of stuff on the other side too Alex. Oh look at that. Oh my gosh. That's a. Oh my gosh. It took up the whole grass. Yeah I spilled pop on your your car. Bunch of leaves. Talked to him the other night. Oh look at that. Okay can you just. Trees. Yeah it looks just like the um the stuff that they also like use to bury the the root. Well that has not blown off. Have you seen any doors that have blown off? Look at that tree across the street here. Crazy. Are you going to turn and try and do the other one? Imagination Realty put all their stuff inside which is a good idea. So we don't know if this is actually blown out or they left it open but. But there's. No but there's stuff on the floor. Is it? Yeah. No no no the window's actually out. Piper don't even think about it. Look over here. Snap that. Yep. All right there's another little palm tree down. That's what I was expecting more of to be honest. All right tree down. All right we got a celebration sign down. All right so I'm running into Publix to get some coffee. Obviously Starbucks are closed but they opened at 2 p.m. so that's why I'm here to go get grab some coffee and hopefully get caffeinated again. Okay whoa there's like nothing here. That's crazy. No bananas. Man people stocked up. There's some cucumbers but literally I don't know if my mom can get less for tomorrow because there's nothing there.
