HIGHLIGHTS | Vålerenga vs. Juventus FC -- UEFA Women's Champions League 2024-25

Almost 20 minutes into the game. I didn't expect a direct hit here. The radar was slightly off. Nanny Thompson sees the flag. Stay down! And Olav Vettin inspires a sigh of Bayern, a sigh of Juventus relief. It seemed all too easy for Valoringa. There could be an opening here for Beccari as she drops the shoulder. And it's at the second attempt. Oh, they've barely been in the game. But that is a stark difference in quality. A rare venture into Valoringa territory. And Juventus are one up. The space for Beccari. Well snuffed out in the end. Dia Bielda. Juventus not helping themselves as Bielda picks it up again for Vettin. Well they haven't relaxed. Their deliveries haven't been immaculate so far. Oh, that one's a bit better. But again, Valoringa can't make the most of it. A fraction from doing so. Thompson. With what really amounts to a pass back. Nancier. Caruso. The reward not matching the risk. Zajic. Oh, and finally, there is a serious test for Pauline Perromagnon to contend with. The Valoringa striker is flexing her muscles, not least in the one-on-ones, but now showing her capability from distance. That's a good save. There's Bonancia. No agility. Filling Thompson. Cascarino. Full of energy. Full of muscle. For Vansgaard. And our composure betrays her. Stuck in the lower reaches of the pecking order in Paris. Vansgaard. Carina Zajic. Oh, that's wonderful. Still Zajic. And one too many. With Caligaris in her way. For players of Carina Zajic's level who still reason for their voice to be heard. They're within one. Still reason for their voice to be heard. They're within one. As Vansgaard seeks a second for Juve. An arsenal huge for Juventus. They've been made to work extremely hard for this scoreline. They'll have to dig deeper for the result. In the direction of Vansgaard, who should latch on here. She's outnumbered. She finds the space. Easy save for Tove Emblom. Is there any pot of gold at the end of the rainbow here for Valoringa? Oh, so nearly there is. Wonderful clearance off the line. And then wide at the end up from Olsen. Caruso looking for Vansgaard who has had an isolated second half. Dergameshi over at left wing back now. That's the introduction of Thomas. She's really... Vansgaard reckons she's from the trap here. She's invited to go on. And Valoringa kept in it by Emblom's wonderful reaction stop. Another chance comes and goes for the day. Valoringa still well in this as Vinton trades passes with Heydersdottir. Zajic Mustafona comes forward from centre-back! And Stulengodo comes within a fraction. Will there be an opening as clear-cut as that for Valoringa? Vinton on hand. Valoringa with less than a minute to go. They've been pushing for the entirety of Stulengodo. Rises for the third consecutive occasion. Godown is one of the greatest for Juventus. And Valoringa have been an ample opponent in this group. A big, big three points for Max Kanzi's side before hosting matches against Bayern and Arsenal. Valoringa mates.
