Look at this fog soup. I can't see anything.
The weather forecast said it should be sunny today, so we will see.
And the last sunny day, they say, before it's raining again.
So I want to drive up in the mountains and film.
So I hope this is getting better soon.
And then suddenly...
And what is there for work to do in the garden now?
Harvesting. I'm going to harvest the herbs now and even some other things.
Thyme and even oregano. I'm going to harvest this now.
And here I'm going to harvest my first swede.
This one is really big.
So I'm going to try this.
The other ones are big too, but not so big.
And there I have more.
I'm excited to see how this has worked out.
This is a monster swede.
So I'm excited how this is inside.
Yes, it's heavy.
What do you think, Odin?
And here on my broccoli there are growing a lot of little broccolinis
that I'm going to harvest now.
Look at this.
Perfect.
And I'm going to take a lettuce with me inside.
This one looks good.
He wants to play with a little thing.
Odin, not playing so loud.
She doesn't know what he means. He wants to run.
We haven't let them play together yet.
It could be time, but my crew has a little injury on his leg.
We don't know what it is.
He can't run right now.
It's much better now, but I don't want them to run.
Therefore we have waited here to let them be together and play.
But sometime in the future we are going to try out
if they are going to play as my crew and Odin play.
We don't know if it's going to work out with a little one too.
Now I'm really excited to see how this really big weed is looking inside.
This looks good so far.
We will see how it turns out when I'm cutting the rest.
It's a big hollow in the middle of this side.
Here a little bit.
But I think if I cut this, I'm going to have a harvest of this.
But here we will see.
Now I have cut away everything I can't eat.
This is the harvest from one root.
I'm really excited to see it.
It's not wooden in the inside.
That's what I feared the most, because then it's not eatable.
But it looks really well and now I'm going to taste it.
It's really good. It's perfect.
What am I having for lunch today?
Oh, the sun.
I'm going to have mashed potatoes of the swede root and potatoes.
And trout and lettuce.
And everything from my own garden and from our lake.
Here I have my herbs that I harvested some weeks ago.
They are dry now.
I want to have them really, really dry.
So I'm going to dry them a little bit in the oven.
But it's not going to take a long time, only a few minutes,
because they are already perfect.
Here I'm going to have the new thyme I harvested
and hang it up for drying.
And even when I harvest more of the herbs,
I'm going to hang them here and dry them.
And then I can have them in a can afterwards.
So I dried this in the oven at 30 to 40 degrees Celsius.
A little bit more now.
So now it's really, really dry.
And when you press it a little bit here,
the leaves fall off.
And then you only have the herbs here.
Yes, and then I have this can here.
I bought it many years ago.
I had bet that there was basil in it.
Now I have my thyme in here.
And then I fill it with the really dry herbs
and have my own herbs.
And this is the first one.
And then I'm going to dry more.
So I have a lot of thyme.
I love thyme.
And that I do with all my herbs.
I dry it.
And then I have here oregano,
thyme, own oregano,
dried oregano from the own garden.
And we are going out on our lake now
to get in our fishing nets.
We were out yesterday night
and having them out.
And now we are going to see how much fish we got.
There behind me you can see our farm.
And you may ask why we are driving down here
with the Argo.
It's not that far.
It's because when we are ready with the fishing nets
then they are wet and very heavy.
And even we have to carry up the fishes
and everything.
And it's very steep here.
It's not so visible on the videos
but it's really steep
and it's exhausting to carry something up there.
So that's why we drive down here with the Argo.
Our little red boat.
It's so peaceful out at the lake
and because we have an electric engine
on our little boat here
it's so quiet too.
But Andreas loves it when it makes brum brum brum.
And there we have our coke bottle
swimming.
So there I have to go now.
And these are the trout we got from the first fishing nets.
And now we are going to take out the next one.
All the fishing nets are in the boat now
and this is what we got on trouts.
It's not the best we had
but it's a good catch.
And now we are going home again.
And look how beautiful it is here.
We are loading the battery of this boat
with the solar panel
and that's working quite well.
So we never have to carry the battery up for loading.
And while I'm taking care of the trouts here now
outside the new morning is beginning.
And what do I have for lunch today?
Yes, fish!
I have trout from our lake
potatoes and lettuce
and cucumbers from the garden
and fresh fish roe.
