SPICY AND INJURED HORSES! | LESS THAN IDEAL COMPETITION AT SPARSHOLT || VLOG 145

Everyone, so I'm just here with Zeb who's just eating all of these plants. So today we are heading to a dressage competition with Zeb and Errol and also Izzy and Tiny. So I've just got, Errol is all plaited, Zeb is not because I didn't have time and he's just coming along just for a little bit of practice because he's got some combined training on Monday. Yeah, didn't have time but brushed them both and we're just about to get them loaded and head on and go and get Izzy and Tiny. So we're going to Sparsholt today, Errol is doing two prelim tests and then Zeb is doing an elementary test so we'll talk a little bit more about that in a minute but let's get them loaded and get on the road. Don't particularly want to go, you just want to eat. Okay guys, we travelled in the three horse trailer as we always do. Zeb went in the same place he always does and for some reason today he obviously didn't want to stand up. They were moving quite a lot so we stopped, we got out, we checked, they all looked happy and then we arrived here and he's rubbed all of his hip, rubbed it and bruised it so he's quite sore so he won't be doing his dressage. We didn't really film getting Errol ready because we then were trying to sort Zeb out so we had to quickly throw the tack on but I'm on Errol now so I'm doing my first test which is prelim 7 so I'm doing two prelim tests, prelim 7 and prelim 12 so the prelim 7 is quite a straightforward test actually. Yeah it feels good so hopefully he goes in, completely new venue for us so it's all good practice just getting him out and yeah hopefully we have a good test. So ideally I'd like to get about somewhere between 68 and 70 I think especially because this test is a lot easier actually than the prelim 12. Yeah. So we'll have a little walk and then another trot and then jobs are good and then we'll go in so fingers crossed for a good test. Are you going to be a good boy? Are you? Please because we just had some drama now with Zebedee so he needs to now be good and hopefully we've got some banners out there so hopefully he's not too scared by those banners. must rain before it because they hadn't got enough test sheets or something which i think did help him though to be honest he was fine he would have been fine until the woman then as i went past she went like that with her paper which i think would have freaked any horse out to be honest um but actually yeah no i thought it was really good i thought he really nicely the only bit i didn't like was the left canter up to canter he decided to kick out slash buck a bit i think did he yeah yeah but actually then when he went into cancer he did a lovely left canter yeah the actual cancer was nice and then the only other bit was when i was walking he tried he tried to rub tried to rub literally he went down and you were like no yeah it's so funny but apart from that i thought it was actually yeah it was very good i thought the trot work was really nice yeah um so yeah no i'm really pleased with them actually nice okay so we're gonna do guess the scores now i'll go first she do think it was quite good okay we don't know whether she's marking nicely because we haven't looked i'm gonna go 70 but then he did kick out no i'm gonna go 70 okay um i'm going to go yeah it's difficult because it was so good yeah but he kicked out and will she mark him down because he tried to rub possibly but then that's still only two marks um i'm gonna go 69.7 69.7 okay so 70 for me and 69.7 right well let's see okay so we've got izzy here izzy tell the vlog what you're doing today premium 12 and how are you feeling good good yeah warm up yeah you've got your gloves today she's not going to forget them put them on right now actually yeah last time i had them in my didn't put them on okay so izzy's gonna go and warm up i'm gonna get her all tacked up and then head on down as well feel all right yeah good wish that i could stay wish for this moment to never go away okay i'm just on warming up for my second test izzy's just gone in we're in the indoor arena and it's only izzy and i so we've had to ask some lovely um girls if they could just film izzy so hopefully her test is going well errol feels good actually doesn't feel too tired i think that she's taking the edge off him because he was actually a bit excited at the first test so hopefully he's good um and behaves himself it's quite good because we're going into a completely different arena so it's just really good practice for him he's only indoor test at maris wood so this will be really good practice actually so fingers crossed for a good test see how you roam while you roam in the streets all alone all you can see thinking about what lucky actually um especially like in the warm-up yeah yeah went in there and like he gets a bit funny about people and there was like people walking down the side like some little kids and a mom yeah and he like didn't care at all he was a bit spooky at like big girl filming yes but again yeah yeah um the only bit that needed to be a bit better was as i did the second counter but i know that's something yeah oh nice very good good boys hey tiny what are you doing so how do you think that went i thought that was really good actually i thought that was honestly like perfect i think there'll be some big marks there that he went like he he went into the arena he sort of like paused went backwards and then was like okay it's all fine yeah it was really relaxed literally so obedient everything you asked he did he was really good especially because that is a harder test yeah and he did that so well that second transition yeah no i'm really pleased that we did practice that yesterday i know i'm absolutely no no do i okay so okay so i've looked at the results for the first one so i said 70 is he said i said 69.7 but i do want to change that i know because we then did look and she actually the first place was in 74 so we did feel like maybe we could have marked a bit nicer yeah ourselves uh he got 72. sorry guys errol just whacked my hand and stopped filming 72 point something nice oh my god nice well done errol good boy yeah 72 yeah it was 72 point something so first place was 74 but i'm absolutely chuffed yeah 70s um and get another second place so oh i wonder what the score for this will be then okay let's let's walk around and then let's do the okay guys so we've just untaxed the horses put them back we've come to look at our test sheets but we forgot we haven't actually done guess the scores yet so let's go errol's first we thought it was better than his first test but we don't know how they're marking no so we i said 73 i said 70 what did i say to stop by 75 i'm like you're 74 yeah that's it's also hard because if they're not marking that nicely it could be a little bit lower than that yeah but anyway it was a good test okay and you guess yours i didn't see yours what did i get when i was part of it like 50 something i reckon 62 62 i can't comment because i was warming up so i didn't see that okay well let's go and have a look okay guys so we obviously briefly mentioned that zeb had um well he just couldn't stand up in the trailer we think for some reason so he's like ripped the hair off and bruised his hip so i didn't ride him and then we were obviously concerned about bringing him back in this trailer he's traveled in this trailer loads of times been absolutely fine but for some reason so paul mckay that has had to come there she is in front of us and she's now got him because she's got no partition but looks quite happy in there he's quite chirpy he seems fine in himself i think it's just obviously sore now because it's bruised so he just needs a few days rest now we've put a bandage on it to travel him home and yeah okay okay guys oh sorry izzy so we're home now uh today's vlog's been all a bit all over the place for two reasons izzy and i were on our own so that always makes it a little bit more difficult and obviously the whole situation with zeb so we haven't been able to vlog some of the stuff because we've just had to be concentrating on him anyway the last thing we said was we guessed our scores i guessed 73 for ariel you guessed 74 and then for tiny you guessed 62 ariel got he got a 70.3 but they were marking not so nicely so he still came second so i was really really pleased with that first place was 72 i think so he wasn't too far off so he's had two seconds so i'm absolutely chuffed with him and what about tiny and tiny got 66 yeah so very happy with that um yeah that was more than i thought i would have if i was to have guessed not that i even saw the test but i saw him warming up so i would have guessed so now you're gonna say you would have guessed 65 i would have guessed 65 when you know the score it's not really how it works so where did you come is it i came at fifth fifth but guys obviously i'm just not she mucked up because she entered the they had it split into restricted and open so i had to go in open because i've done bd on zeb at high level izzy have you done bd basically guys i was doing the entry at work i was just like trying to do it quickly i saw restricted open i thought i don't really know what that means so i just picked open because restricted sounded like i shouldn't be doing it restricted sound like no go zone so i clicked open apparently that was the wrong one so i would have actually come second in a restricted but at the same time you came fifth against all the people who have done bd and their horses have done bd so there you go so there we go so we were very very pleased with that actually so we're now home and we've sorted out zeb we've bandaged him up he seems okay put the others to bed so we're gonna go home and have a relax scott's now ring me because i think he's picking picking me up so he's probably gonna have a go we hope you guys enjoyed this vlog it's a bit all over the place but you know it was chaotic and we obviously had to sort zeb he was the priority see you for hopefully a uh a better next one well our results were good today yeah but just hopefully the vlogging's better otherwise yeah scott's probably gonna have a go at us for this but you know anyway see you for the next one
