New land and new frontiers! Today's the day I cross the border into Honduras with my motorcycle. These days can be nerve wrecking for many but I've practiced a state of being in this particular topic and everything works out smoothly. So far, the start of Honduras is beautiful.
....
Welcome back to the vlog! Um, I have some bad news. I may have lost all my footage from today.
Don't you fret because while the footage was erased from my main camera,
thankfully I use multiple. So there still is a story for today, just with a little less detail
than usual. Today is a big day because I'm crossing the border into the infamous Honduras.
So as I said goodbye to El Salvador, I also said bye to my friend Loki who joined me on
this little trip to El Pital. So Loki and I parted ways and I headed to the border,
which was really not that far away.
If you've been following along, you may be familiar with my spiel about crossing borders.
It can be a really nerve-wracking experience.
Most of us travelers have heard our fair share of horror stories.
But for me, it's a circumstance where I've become very intentional.
I use the most powerful tool that we all have, intention and attention. And I create
an expectation of a smooth and easy process, which is exactly how it went today.
All right, here we are. Our motorcycle, it sticks out a bit, but I think it's okay.
And I'm not going to get much better than that anyway. Okay, a little mini tour of Santa Ana.
No, not Santa Ana. I was just in Santa Ana. It's a Santa Rosa, Recopan, and find myself some food.
So I made it into Honduras and my first pit stop in the beautiful town of Santa Rosa de Copan.
And again, I'm sorry about the lack of footage. It got deleted, but you will get to see the
beautiful Honduran landscape in a bit. For now, some food, money, and a little surprise encounter.
I gotta tell you, the pineapple tastes very different. Still tastes sweet,
but like more like a sweet sour. Very different.
First lemperas. Says invalid account. Maybe this bank doesn't work.
That was a nice little loop-de-loop around town. And I'll head back to the bike
and get to my final destination. Something's happening here. I'm not sure what, but a lot of
just went by. There's another one. And it's full of trucks and cars and now music.
But I like that there's mariachi music.
Okay, I'm not sure how much I understood what he said, but kind of what I understood. It's like
a saint's day. Some patrona de Honduras. But yeah, it's a celebration. Pretty cool.
Well, now I'm off to my final destination of the day. A little town called Gracias.
This road is a lot of traffic. Alrighty, now to the final leg of the border crossing day.
These types of days are such a good reminder for me about the power of my intent.
For whatever reason in this particular topic, I've been able to achieve a steady state
with zero doubt, zero fear, and full conviction that all is going well.
And it's so cool to see how it shows up in my experience. Here's a little
stop. I guess they didn't want to stop me. That's good. That was easy.
I definitely don't apply this in all areas of my life. And in many areas,
I still have a habit of fear or lack mentality. However, I now have many experiences like
crossing borders or camping alone, where I've recognized this impact of my focus,
which has shown me the amazing power we hold inside. And little by little, I'll apply it
to other areas of my life. Okay, I think we're here in Gracias. We're only half a mile from
where I think I can stay at a cafe that also has rooms. Bienvenidos a Gracias Lempira. Oh,
I see it. Cool. Where can I pull the bike in? Okay, Jardin Cafe. So, we'll go check it out.
That's nice. Wow. Oh, hammocks. This looks cozy.
Look how easy it is to get into this garage. And look at that. We've got a
GS friend. Oh, that's so nice. I wonder who it is.
