What if SERBIA saved BYZANTIUM?

"In 1346, the Serbian King, Stefan Uroš IV Dušan, also known as Dušan the Mighty, claimed the title of the Emperor and Autocrat of the Serbs and Romans, the Bulgarians and Albanians. Stefan Uroš V, more commonly known as Uros the Weak succeeded Dušan, but the empire faltered under him. Serbs engaged in constant infighting upon his death, culminating with Serbian devastation at the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. The final Serbian rump state, the Despotate of Serbia, finally fell to the Ottomans in 1459. Today we explore what would have happened if the Serbian Empire survived, never falling into dynastic struggles, and repelled the Ottomans, ultimately saving the Byzantines.
