Hey friends, welcome back to my channel,
or welcome if you are new.
It has been a little bit.
We've had some sickness run through our house,
and then of course the hurricane,
which I am very grateful that just a messy yard
is the most that we experienced.
And then a handful of days without internet,
which my kids would probably complain
a little more than I have,
but it just put me a little bit behind
with my fall content and YouTube,
but we're back here today.
We are going to tidy up the front porch,
get all of the sticks and limbs
and just junk that has blown in on the porch
off and cleaned.
And then we're going to go ahead
and get started here on the front porch,
get it decorated for fall.
Because of the wind and everything that came
with the hurricane, I went ahead
and cleared off the front and the back porch,
put everything in the garage just to keep it safe.
And so I kind of was able to just start
with a blank slate, so that was really nice.
But I am going to be doing something
completely different this year on the front porch,
maybe dialing it back a little bit,
if I dare say that.
Fall is my absolute favorite season,
and I can tend to get a little overexcited,
but I decided to keep it a little bit cleaner this year
and switch my front and my back porch.
So I took my potting table and everything
that goes with that, and I'm gonna put that
in a little space on the back porch,
and bring some of the back porch pieces to the front.
So I wanted to get started in this little corner.
I'm actually gonna keep it bare.
This is where I previously had the potting table
and some of my decor hanging.
But I found this huge basket on the side of the road,
and I just could not pass by that house
without picking up all of those baskets.
So I thought it'd be perfect for a huge mum
here in the corner.
I normally buy a handful of mums,
and I am just on edge waiting for them
to come to our local hardware stores or garden centers.
And this year, I just decided to stick with one,
and just let that be a perfect piece to this corner.
But of course, I didn't skimp on the pumpkins.
I do have those coming.
But now I'm just arranging this little patio set
that my mom gifted to me, I believe, two years ago.
And it's really just not used on the back porch.
So I thought that I would bring it up front
and make a little centerpiece,
and just make this a really sweet place for the front porch.
And now I'm just gonna cozy it up a little bit
with these sweet little pillows
that I purchased from the Target Dollar Spot,
I believe, last year.
I feel like they really just blended well
with the front door, so I figured why not use these again.
They're in great condition
and still look really vibrant and pretty.
So I'm just reusing a lot of the decor
that I had from last year,
and then adding in some new pieces.
Now I am moving on to the front door.
Again, I am just using the same mats
that I got last year from Target,
just keeping things very cohesive.
And I am going to be using my asparagus ferns
here by the front door.
They have held up really, really well.
I'm actually really surprised
because it has been so hot
until the hurricane has come through,
and I really felt like they would have died off by now.
So I love the look of them for fall.
I think they're really full and pretty,
so I'm just going to put them here
to fill up the space by the front door.
And then I am going to just fill in the rest
with some pumpkins that I picked up from our local Kroger.
This is my second year getting pumpkins from Kroger
instead of Lowe's or Home Depot,
and I love them.
They, for some reason, just last so much longer
coming from our grocery store,
and the colors stay really pretty.
They always have such a unique variety.
So my daughter went with me this day
and picked up these pumpkins with me,
and we found some little acorn squash,
so we decided to use those too.
I love the contrast that it adds
and just makes it really fun and colorful.
But I am really loving the different tones of green here
for the fall.
I recently painted the front door,
and then with all the pumpkins and the asparagus ferns,
I just think it really flows so nicely together,
and it's just so nice to have all of these added colors
for the fall season.
Now I am adding a preserved magnolia wreath
that I got from my cousin.
I actually have two that I picked up from her.
She has double doors, so I think that was her intention,
and she just never ended up using them,
so I've got two because I knew I wanted to keep one indoors
and one out, and I think it is perfect for the front door.
And now I'm gonna head back over to this corner
and finish up this little space.
I have this vine that is still growing strong,
so I'm just going to add it over here with the mum,
and I think I'm just gonna finish off
with a couple of pumpkins in the corner,
and then I will show you guys
how the front porch turned out.
Thank you guys so much for being here and watching along.
I hope that you enjoyed today's video,
