Here at the Westminster Business School we have a whole raft of courses that students can take.
They can choose modules based on their interests or career aspirations. They also have a choice of
specialism and a degree structure. They can also choose three years full-time or four years degree
with a one-year work placement or study abroad opportunities.
I decided to study at the University of Westminster because it's in the heart of London
and this gives you many opportunities not only to experience the university life but also people,
culture. The location of University of Westminster is just too good to be true. I have made so many
friends who not only live in central London but outside of London as well. The first thing that
really stood out to me was the huge array of nationalities here so it kind of made me feel at
London is one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also one of the most significant
business hubs. They're right in the hive of activity especially for business and so that
gives us opportunities to get great guest lecturers in, collaborate with these external organisations
because they want to help us as well because we're right on the doorstep. We're in this together.
The part of the course that I've enjoyed the most is the wide variety of topics that the
university offers and a good balance between lectures and seminars with interactive activities.
Modules are based on case studies, insightful discussions and hands-on projects that allow me
to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. We're working really hard to ensure
that every student gets some practical experience and to give you an example a company will come in
and give a talk to the students about what they want and what they're looking for and the students
then work on a real live company brief. From dedicated professors to academic resources such as
personal tutors I've always felt supported and encouraged to succeed. The academic support
here at the university is quite fantastic. I am very good friends with my course leaders. We've got
lovely facilities on campus that people can enjoy. One standout facility here at Westminster is the
social space. This place is a great place to study but both relax in between classes. So my favourite
facility is definitely the library. It's the social space where me and my friends can hang out,
study together, do our assignments. My advice for someone who's wanting to study at University of
Westminster would be embrace opportunities, network and explore London. My advice for
someone looking to study at Westminster would be attending as many experience days as possible
as well as exploring the different business courses that you have. Come to our open days,
they're really good. You can speak to the professors, check out the library, get a tour of
the campus and get any of your doubts cleared. A lot of people say that the world is your oyster
but I would say that University of Westminster is your oyster because you can do anything you want in this university.
