I USED TO LOVE THEM ...

Hey, guys, welcome to today's video.
We are going to take a journey into the past.
Things that I have forgotten that I love.
I want to put them all together to the test.
There are some items here that are very expired and I just don't care.
I'm going to give that disclaimer right away.
We're going to go deep into memory lane like I found this
and I am going to use this Eve Lomb.
Do we remember?
I found a basket of old things and I kind of just were at least going to explore.
I won't be using this, but I just wanted to know how many of you
have been with me this long.
This was like the glam life guru starter pack.
Anyone remember the Sonia Kashuk palette?
They don't make this anymore.
We are going to start out with Guerlain gold primer.
Now, I bought this again like a year and a half ago.
I wore it. I didn't love it.
I wore it again. Kind of liked it.
But then I kind of shoved it in the back of my drawer of many, many primers.
Forgot that it was there.
And when I was digging through everything, I was like, I have to get that one more
because like, honestly, this used to be an absolute favorite of mine.
It is heavily fragranced.
It actually kind of feels like I took squirts of really expensive luxury fragrance.
We all know it has that kind of distinct, almost like stingy floral
scent to it where it's just like it just like bites you a little bit.
It's a little liquidy.
You rub this in.
And I just remember there was a time when this was my absolute
non-negotiable must have.
However, they have reformulated.
And I don't know if this is the reformulation or if it was this way in the older
bottle, but I didn't know the gold, which this is like gold is like the ingredient
in here that you're like gold, 24 hours of hydration, 24 hours of radiance.
And this is like an $80 primer.
Gold leaves, right?
It's the 24th ingredient in the ingredient listing.
You guys, if you want to know if your products are packing a punch, look at the
ingredients and all of the oils or elements where they're like, oh, this has this
magical peptide.
It has this super antioxidant oil.
You want to make sure those ingredients are near the top and not at the very bottom.
The very bottom goes down in percentage of what is in the product.
So number one spot, if it says water, that is the dominant ingredient.
And then you go down from there.
So I was kind of shocked.
I was like, what, what trickery paying $80 for gold?
And there's like a whisper of it in there.
But, you know, I have it.
It's fancy.
It's kind of fun to play with sometimes.
I don't know that I will ever buy this one again.
But here we are.
It is the OG sticky primer.
Like this one does make your makeup stick and adhere to the face.
Need I say more?
Do we remember this?
An artist brush.
The whole beauty community was flipping out over these when they first arrived to
us, and I myself love this one like on the regular.
This is the oval eight.
These are duped everywhere.
And I do have to say there is nothing like the original.
The brushes in here are packed so snug and it just kind of
makes the foundation go on smooth and velvety.
And I want to give this a go again.
Maybe it will become a new obsession.
I am going to go in with my wet and wild photo focus foundation.
So we went from like top tier luxury to like, hey, we're at CVS.
Seven bucks.
But this is a good one.
So we're going to go in with the shade beige bronze.
I'm going off a glass palette.
Let's hope for the best.
We're just going to buff this on the face.
I feel like that soaked up so much of the product, though.
So maybe I need to like F me.
Like, I remember why I loved this so much.
Are you kidding me?
That took two seconds, like legitimately two seconds,
two seconds, and we're blended.
This is like the best.
You're in a hurry, but I want to look like a supermodel brush.
Dang. What?
OK. Oh, my gosh.
And this foundation is so good, too.
We're off to a great.
Please, God, no.
You know what?
This is what I get for trying to be like a cool TikToker.
And I'm not a cool schmick schmocker.
A cool what you know what I'm saying?
Oh, my gosh.
How do they do this?
I'll ruin all my clothes.
I'm actually wearing pajamas right now.
This is from Abercrombie.
Technically pajamas, but really soft.
Highly recommend.
If you are a sensory sensitive person, I will link this below.
It is so soft.
It wasn't very expensive.
The fit is phenomenal.
And it's sold as like loungewear, pajama wear.
But whatever, I'm wearing it in public.
The foundation like up close in the mirror looks so smooth.
Why would I ever stop using this brush?
Holy smokes. Big time.
Wow. Like in real life.
Wow. And the foundation.
So good.
We're going to go into a little Maybelline.
All of their concealers, in my opinion, are really phenomenal.
I haven't been giving this one any attention.
And it's just for the sake of this video that we're going to go in and play.
I don't have the heart to get rid of these two concealers
that I have right here, the shade that I am using under my eyes.
This one's so beat to filth that there is no shade.
It barely has the name on it.
This is likely expired, and I should probably just buy a new one.
What is this one?
Number 15. 15 light.
So the other one that I just put under my eyes
has got to be a little bit lighter than 15 light.
I'm kind of regretting that I just put this on.
But we're here. It's fine.
Well, dang.
We're in a good place.
We're like in a very good place.
The skin is skinning.
I like it.
From here, we're going to dive headfirst into Chanel Soleil Tan Bronze.
This is the number 390.
This is just a go to staple that I just feel more comfortable
having it in my collection, like a lot of you guys call me a comfort creator
that you can just put my videos on in the background.
And my voice somehow reminds you of like the good old days.
And you know what? I'm OK with that.
I'm here for that.
This bronzer is my comfort bronzer.
Is it the best ever?
At this point? Probably not.
But it's just something that I like to have on hand.
And just even the packaging, seeing it there in my drawer makes me very happy.
I'm kind of not even blending.
It kind of is just like light and easy.
Like this would be the perfect cream bronzer.
My rings are driving me nuts.
If you were on vacation and you did not have time to blend fuss, nothing.
This even looks good on just bare skin.
It's that kind of makeup.
Good. We are good.
Mm. I'm kind of afraid to use this.
I'm not going to lie.
It's mineral.
This is like eight years old.
OK, fine. I'm not going to use it.
I really want to repurchase this.
I don't even know if they still make it.
Eve Lomb. Let's see.
Well, they still have the skincare on Amazon.
And honestly, the Eve Lomb balm, the makeup remover, chef's kiss.
So good.
Yeah, they don't make it.
They don't make it.
This needs to be remade.
This is one of those items that like literally was a mineral powder
that would brighten your under eye beautifully, like gorgeously.
Why? Why?
We're going to go into a little Laura Mercier.
She is going to save the day.
This is another classic, iconic, good one that I have been overlooking.
I have not used this one consistently in a long while.
I've been about RCMA, Huda Beauty, Givenchy until recently.
I'm using what I have left of my OG powder very sparingly.
But let's go in and set everything with a little Laura Mercier translucent.
Chanel, it's a little orange.
It's a little tiny bit.
It's very warm.
Not what I'm used to at the moment.
Pretty.
We need some brows.
This is a pencil from Valentino that I have not used in a freaking hot minute.
I don't know why.
It's like maybe the size of the product itself.
I just always get really intimidated by this.
And I'm like, I don't know.
I just I don't want to deal with it.
But I do remember really liking it and I have not thrown it away.
So we're giving this one another chance.
This has a really interesting tip on here.
It's like flat and square.
And I hope that that is still OK.
Yeah, it's OK.
This is the color.
I really like it.
Let's hope for the best.
Why? OK, I myself have to spend so much time
creating realistic looking brow hairs at the front of my brow on other people.
It looks so beautiful on me.
Not so much.
Um, guys, this is not going so well.
And that's better.
If you're ever effing up your brows big time, the spoolie is your friend.
You're going to work that color around blend, fill, blend, fill.
We're going to go a little.
Oh, she's going bold.
Oh, my God. No.
Like this is like going in the trash can.
I always want bolder brows.
And then I put them on and I'm like, is it for me?
Maybe. Oh, gosh, I don't know.
I will be honest with you guys.
It's hard to tell if I love a brow product or not.
I just kind of hate my brows.
So there's that.
This is not terrible, but we'll see when the makeup's done.
We have updated packaging from Wet n Wild.
This is an iconic shade, Pearlescent Pink, that I have been using forever
and ever and ever.
It's very similar to NARS's Orgasm.
But budget, budget.
OK, so I'm going to go in here with an It Cosmetics foundation brush
that I personally love using as a blush brush.
And we're going to spice up the cheeks.
It gives like a nice, cute little glow.
I really like where you could skip highlighter
like you don't need highlighter when you're using this blush,
but it's not so like potent.
It's just like a little whisper, like a little bit of something.
Sometimes I like going in with a little more powder
just to soften the edges of the blush.
Just kind of go back underneath the eye a little bit.
I've been thinking about doing a lip blush,
and I know I talked about this briefly before,
but I'm serious about it.
I'm so struggling with my lip line.
It's making it so difficult to do my lips.
Tell me again.
Who of you have tried this?
I was served so much lip blush content on my TikTok.
I don't know.
I'm like, oh, it looks like it would be so nice to have your lip line defined.
I don't have a good lip line.
It just I don't know.
It looks like it might hurt, though.
Oh, this is beautiful.
Wow. OK, yes.
I haven't worn this in ages.
This is classic from Lorac.
Snap. Oh, my gosh.
I love that color so much for fall.
It's like if you are a nude lover, this is like just a little bit more
pinky, has a little more depth and will give you a little more life
to the skin without being a total nude color.
Like it just feels a little rosy and gives the skin like a nice pick me up.
I really love that.
I haven't worn this in ages.
This is exactly why I wanted to do this video.
OK, great.
We are in a good place.
I'm going to kind of go into the new way that I've been doing my eyes,
but with a pencil that's smaller and not a chubby pencil stick.
I'm going to go into the endless silky pencil from Pixi.
This is one of my favorites.
It is a bit of a throwback item.
It's nothing brand new.
But this is something I used to wear all the time.
This is the shade black cocoa.
And it is so smooth and it blends out beautifully.
If you want to play with it, there is play time on this guy.
And I absolutely love this.
So I have a plan because I have a very special shadow
that I just picked up at Kroger.
This is another throwback from L'Oreal, the Infallible Singles.
Oh, my gosh.
You guys, this is the shade bronzed taupe.
And I used to wear this all of the time.
It's just like the perfect bronzy taupe shade really brightens the eye.
So I thought that would be a pretty combo.
I am just going to messily line my lid.
I'm going to messily line my lid and we're going to blend.
So I'm not worrying about the crease at all right now.
We're just it looks a little funny until you're done.
But for me right now, this is the quickest way to do my eyes and I love it.
And now I'm just going to messy on top.
Take my finger, go into bronze taupe and pat that on the lid.
A little bit into the crease is fine.
Take the brush you were blending out the pencil with and go back over the lash line.
Kind of like you're uncovering the color that was there.
You're kind of moving a little bit of the shadow out of the way,
but it'll be like very soft and diffused.
And yes, this looks a little crazy until we put mascara on and really frame out the eye.
I am going to go back over with the liner doing a little back and forth action.
But I'm going to go a little more precise, not so messy and go really,
really close to the lash line now focused on the outer half of the lid.
OK, we're getting there.
And I am going to take just a little bit more.
I kind of like going back and forth when I'm doing a two step process like this.
I just like I add, I blend, I add, I blend.
Taking a clean brush with nothing on it.
I am going to kind of blend into the crease, just diffuse whatever color
migrated up there.
If you have lids like mine where the color wants to transfer into the crease,
like my actual lash line will sometimes hit my crease.
And if I have liner that has not set, it will actually put a line in my crease.
So there's really no avoiding product getting up there.
But you can like I'm doing here.
Just take that clean brush.
Give it a good wiggle and it'll look nice and diffused.
And I didn't add any additional product.
Gosh, I am tempted to like do the like do the whole waterline.
I don't know.
There's something I'm itching to kind of do that.
But I am going to take a pause.
I am going to go in with an old favorite brush of mine.
This is the Kevyn Aucoin.
It's the smoky eyeshadow flat tip, and we are going to go underneath.
Smoke her out.
I have this area on me right here where product transfers as well.
And this can happen if you have dry eyes, watery eyes.
You'll notice that you get a little bit of that mascara
pull on the corner of your eyes.
You don't need to put a ton of product over here
if you naturally are going to be shadowed.
If that happens to you, a cheat that I like to do is to just
kind of go almost to the edge, but not pack up too much product here
because it can then kind of droop the eye down.
Don't be afraid to blend for a while.
You do not have to rush this back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
We're going to go in with a little Lash Paradise.
Big fluffy wand.
This has been a favorite of mine for many years.
I'm going to do lashes, and I have some big lashes to put on.
I don't know. I don't know.
This is like this is a gamble.
Do we dare?
Oh, my gosh.
These are the blinking butylashes.
This is in Ingenue.
I'm going to really cut into these.
OK, that's super weird.
It looks like a caterpillar for one.
The inner corner is longer than the outer corner,
and this is the correct side.
So that's strange.
How did I used to wear these?
Can you imagine? No.
OK, this is a different style.
Let's see. Let's see.
Oh, my. Oh, my.
Like, I wore lashes like this almost every day of my life.
And if you do, there's nothing wrong with that.
I just it's just funny to me how much my preferences have changed.
And that's kind of pretty.
Let's cut them even more.
I just kind of feel like they're bringing my face down is what's weirding me out.
Can you try cutting a little more? Gosh.
You know what? No, I'm just going to do my Ardell's.
This is just not for me.
Ardell 421 to the rescue.
Lashes can make or break a look.
These ones are just way more comfortable anyway.
Like the nicest, thinnest, lightest band with something in the water.
This could mess up the entire look, but we're going to gamble.
We're going to go for it.
I'm going to go ahead and put green liner in the water line from L'Oreal.
This is an infallible pencil.
Putting a plumping gloss in the center, why not?
And I've decided that I want to go in with Pinch Me Pink
just to pink up the cheeks a little bit, because I feel like pearlescent
pink is a little bit too coral right now for me.
I don't know. Something feels a little off.
So we're just oh, that is pigmented.
Wow. OK, that may have not been the move.
I thought the liner was going to screw me up, but maybe it was doing that.
I have to fix the brows just like a tiny little bit, like I just have to.
The brows feel a little too heavy for me.
What do you guys think?
Well, I mean, they're kind of nice, too.
I'm torn. I don't know.
I feel like I have eyebrow blindness.
Like that's one area where I'm like, I can't really tell.
I can't see my face.
Love what doing the waterline did for me.
I'm kind of back into that.
I love a good pop of color in the waterline for the grand finale.
We are going to go into it.
None other than Mary Luminizer.
I recently ordered this one off of Amazon.
This used to be a fave of mine from the balm.
This was one of the most potent highlighters
that you could purchase, period, back in the day.
She's cute.
She's not as shiny as I remember.
Like we have got such blingy highlights now.
Well, actually, no, that is OK.
I'm in. I am remembering the formula, the shine.
Wow. Mary, this is really just a sensory memory thing for me.
I love how the Caudalie Beauty Elixir smells.
It takes down a little bit of the powdery elements of the face.
Gives you like a spa moment.
Is it the best thing ever?
No, but I always keep this on hand and it's just like another comfort
item of mine in my collection.
And then I have a fragrance that I'm going to put on.
I am down to the bottom of this Laura Mercier pistache.
I was so sad to find out that they have discontinued it.
They do not sell this anymore.
And it is the sexiest, most gorgeous.
It's like, oh, my gosh, it's so sexy.
It's like angel with pistachio vanilla.
It's one of the sexiest fragrances of all time.
And I was so sad because I'm now wearing fragrance again
a little bit here and there.
It stopped giving me as much of a headache.
I feel like my body's finally healing and I went straight for this.
Like, it is still good, but she is bare bones.
Do you guys have any dupes or recommendation of where I can still purchase this?
Oh, oh, my gosh.
And this one is James's favorite, too.
So it's really such a bummer having a moment with that.
All right, you guys, this is the finished look.
There are so many things that I love here that I had forgotten
that I had that I want to use again on the daily.
Mary Luminizer is definitely one of them.
How could I forget about her?
This is such a beautiful highlight.
Oh, my goodness.
Most things worked out.
Bronze taupe, a plus pixie liners, always a plus the blushes from Wet n Wild.
I don't like pearlescent pink as much as I used to the Guerlain primer.
God bless.
I will probably finish this bottle and it will be the last one I ever purchase.
I'm going to keep it out, though, so that I remember to use it.
Wet n Wild foundation looks so good.
The Laura Mercier powder is great, but I feel like it's making me
a little bit pale for some reason.
Maybe that's just my imagination.
I will be using this again and again and again.
All in all, these products have stood the test of time.
They are still good for the most part.
I don't think there was any big dud.
The brows.
This is not like an ancient, like way, way, way back product.
I don't know.
Now that the makeup is on, I'm kind of torn.
I think this was a success.
I hope you enjoyed this.
