Hi Kelly, it's such a pleasure to have you here with us.
Obviously you've been involved with the Venom films for a while.
What was it like though helming this final chapter
and what can fans expect from Eddie and Venom?
It was such a beautiful experience helming this final chapter
and such a privilege to be asked to chaperone them out,
you know, of the franchise.
It meant so much to me and Tom
and we've put our hearts and souls into these movies
and we really, really care about them.
And you can expect many, many epic things.
You know, it's a very big movie, there's a lot of action,
there's a lot of other fun little moments in there as well.
New characters, new symbiotes, a very big bad guy
and a very horrible creature.
And what I love about it is, you know,
there are so many laugh out loud moments
but there's also so much emotion as well as the action.
Just this irreverent humour, all these amazing moments
seems to stem a lot from Tom
but also his collaboration with you.
Why is he so perfect for this character
and what's it like working with him?
It's amazing working with Tom, you know, he's my bestie.
So it's just a beautiful thing for us to get to have done,
like, you know, spend the better part of eight years
building these characters.
And this one is batshit and bonkers as we both are.
I think it's a real true reflection
of what goes on in mine and Tom's heads.
And I love so many of the action sequences,
the women taking on the symbiotes
but also Tom walking through that casino in the tuxedo.
Come on, come on.
Was that an ad for James Bond?
I mean, maybe.
Did you have a favourite scene?
My favourite scene is the sing-along in the camper van.
And what do you hope people take away?
Because there is this great relationship,
seeing the duality of this character
and you are so invested by the end
so it's not just an action film.
No, it's not.
It's a very human film and it's about love
and it's about the things we'll do for the people we love
and the lengths we'll go.
I'm just going to miss their love for each other
but also their bickering.
I mean, I really love it when they bicker with each other.
It's so funny that Venice is constantly lying to Eddie
and holding things back
and there's just always the other shoe dropping the whole time.
So I'll miss that.
Definitely old Maricopa vibes
but there's always something else with Venice
and you just never know what it is.
So I guess that's what I'll miss.
It's like, what is the other thing he's going to tell him?
Because there's got to be something else.
You know, we decided to shoot it practically
so that means using very few green screen elements
and really putting Tom in a rapids
and really putting him on a motorbike
and exploding things around him and all these other actors.
So that I would say was the most challenging
because it's, you know, as you've seen
it's a very epic, big, lots of action.
We're really flying those military guys under a crane,
you know, like they are flying and they are swimming.
