Welcome to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan
and one of the greenest and most beautiful capitals in the entire world.
I have a surprise for you guys. I've actually been upgraded to
the presidential suite in Serena and I'm really excited. Let's go.
Oh my god, I've got my own chandelier.
Love the ceilings here. They're just, you know, very very different and since I'm coming from
the north of Pakistan, it seems so familiar and it seems really nice that they've taken
care of this. Look at this massive living room. Not sure what I'm gonna do here so
let's go check out the bedroom. Oh my god, I love these rugs. I can't wait to get my own honestly.
So beautiful and look at that. I feel like a president already. Okay, so I'm gonna dump my
stuff here but the most important thing for me is not the bedroom. It's pretty amazing. That's
quite obvious. It's the view and the bathroom. So let me go show you those two because I've
promised this room has the best view in the entire hotel. Let's go. Wow, this is what you
call a room with a view like an actual view and they have these beautiful wooden balconies that
I love and the pool and the gardens and you can see Margalla Hills from here which is
wow amazing. I'm actually really really really impressed. Oh my god, honestly,
I am really impressed by how beautiful this place is and I will actually feel like a king
sleeping in that bed but one is the view and the other one is a toilet because they're really
really important for me. Let's go check those out. I really need that bathtub and it's big
enough to have a party here. So I'm gonna go soak myself and I'll see you in a bit. Bye.
Well, it's a different day, different food. I honestly have tried so much Pakistani food.
I just wanted a little break so I'm gonna have Pan-Asian food tonight. I have some pad thai,
some sushi, some Szechuan rice and I am really looking forward to this.
Good morning. It's time to explore a little bit more of Islamabad but after I've had my
massive breakfast. So I'll see you guys in a bit while I get to grips with finishing all of this.
By the now you've guessed it, it's a theme in Pakistan to have like massive meals.
So I've had my breakfast and the weather is amazing. So it's not too cold, it's not too hot.
So I'm gonna go explore the city a bit more before it's time to get to my spa session
which I'm really looking forward to and it looks like they have a world-class luxury spa here.
I just had the most amazing massage, scrub, facial and after running around for so many days in the
north, I just feel like I'm back in civilization and they have a really nice cool spa here as well.
So I'm gonna go take a shower, get ready and get exploring in Islamabad.
This is Zadpur village and it's essentially a village that's sort of been promoted and people
started coming here and they've done it nicely. In the evenings there are good restaurants you
can come here for that but I've come here for the temple, the Hindu temple because I wanted to
see that. I've never seen another Hindu like a proper Hindu temple here so I'm gonna go do that.
Let's go. The beautiful Rama temple in Zadpur village predates Islamabad itself and there's
also a Sikh Gurdwara in the same complex. The village is also famous for its pottery.
Even if you don't eat anything else in Islamabad, savour foods is something that you should definitely
try. It's one of my favourites and it's really simple. It's pulao rice with kebab and some chicken.
You can never go wrong. This right behind me is the view from Manal or Tamneko. We've come a bit
further but I really wanted to see the Faisal mosque. We're gonna go back down and see the sunset
there. So you have to choose either between a nice sunset or the view of Faisal mosque. If you want
to have the best view of Islamabad, the entire panorama, you have to come to Tamneko but it's a
busy place in the evenings. I found myself a secluded spot and I'm enjoying my sunset here.
This is the Pakistan monument behind me and sadly it's not open
but if you get a chance it's a really cool spot to go for a nice sunset.
I'm sitting in Faisal mosque. It's the fifth largest mosque in the world and the largest
mosque in South Asia. It is quite different not only in architecture and style but also how people
treat mosques in the country. The rest of the mosques are treated with you know a lot of
holiness and there's strict rules. This is treated more as a social space as you know a place where
people come in the evenings to enjoy themselves and it's quite nice and spacious so it's a great
spot for people watching as well. I'm loving it.
So it's barbecue tonight and I am already excited.
I'm really lucky someone's making like fresh jalebis for me. This is honestly I love this thing
because it's so unique. I've never seen it anywhere else.
So that's the first step and then it's going to be covered in like this sugary syrup and that's
when it becomes jalebi and that's when it becomes absolutely delicious. If you come to Pakistan
and you don't have jalebi, honestly you haven't come here. Don't consider it a visit done. So
definitely have jalebi. We also have gulab jamun which is let me show you
these little balls of goodness and they're also covered in syrup so yeah I'm not gonna
say they're healthy in any way but they are absolutely delicious and worth all the effort.
It's a bit tricky to break it. Honestly there's nothing like fresh jalebi in the entire world.
I could give up any dessert for it. I shouldn't be eating here. I'll go back to my table
and have an amazing barbecue dinner and this. I'm gonna go walk a little bit and then go to bed
So I've had a little bit of a roadblock in Islamabad. The city is in lockdown and sadly I
can't really go out much which is sort of a good and a bad thing. Good in a way because there's not
much to do here. I've seen a few things which I'll show you and a few things that I haven't been able
to cover. Pakistan Monument, Rawal Lake View Park and the one that I'm most chuffed about
is the trail number five. So it's a nice trail that takes you through the mountains and it's
it's a good hike you can do here and it gives you like really nice views along the way as well.
So if you come here please do check that out. You can also take a half day trip to Taxila
which is an amazing thing so you'll have to check my Taxila video for that.
