Exploring Scottsdale + Hiking Cathedral Rock | Arizona Day 1

look at this huge hey I'm headed to Phoenix to meet up with our friends Callie and Michael and to see Adam I've not seen Adam in six days because it's been an Austin working on the van haven't seen Catherine and almost a week and I miss her can't wait to see her so I'm gonna see her here in a few hours and we'll see you then [Music] [Music] good morning from Scottsdale Arizona yeah yeah you're right really late last night we were super hungry which is why we went to in-and-out um got some sleep and now we're ready to conquer the day bright-eyed and bushy-tailed so we're here in Arizona for the next five days we're going to Scottsdale Sedona Grand Canyon and Paige super pumped so I've mentioned this before but I'm originally from Arizona so from birth to eight years old I lived just like 20 minutes south of Scottsdale so Adams never been to this part of Arizona only Tucson so I'm super pumped to have him see kind of where I grew up I never saw the Grand Canyon when I lived here so I'm really excited to finally make it there so it should be really fun but the best part our friends Kelly and Michael are with us [Music] first things first Ricky we are at farm and craft in Old Town Scottsdale I got a traditional American breakfast sweet potato hash two eggs bacon grilled veggies and Katherine got her assortment of sights my breakfast right here yeah it's not as good at [Music] [Applause] so obviously our next stop was to get coffee and we're gonna do a bang bang so the bang bang is is when you hit up to places back-to-back so we just went to four Dena's and Old Town Scottsdale again Americanos we're about to go to this place called ruse cake house that Callie found the survey's like bubble tea drinks it's cotton candy on top so I'm a little excited for that yeah it looks really cool so we're gonna walk there and go check that out too [Music] [Music] look at this bruise which is the cutest place ever shout out to Cali for dragging this and so we got the chyme milk boba so there's the probe at the bottom which I've never tried so I'm gonna try that and then there's chai and then there's cotton candy cotton candies in like glutinous straw good megatexture person so I mean I've said this before but like textures kind of weird me out which is why I like trying poke it was a little scary for me but this is actually delicious and the little balls aren't that weird [Music] walking around Old Town Scottsdale super cool around here yeah it's like a western themed area so we love Wes Earth we love themed town I should say like Leavenworth and Washington which is like Bavarian themed just really fun to walk around touristy but [Music] and in typical a plus K fashion we are getting more to eat our itineraries just like eat walk eat walk repeat are ended walk walk to make room for more food in our stomachs so this is like kind of acts like the only day we're really going to eating out a lot so we're trying to take advantage of the cool spots so they're already eat in Scottsdale and it should be no surprise but we're eating we're at a place plug Diego plops which is not only the cutest place ever the inside super cool that was really awesome outdoor patio some kind of unique spin Johnson tacos he had plantains and chips she was salsa and welcome home he looks so excited I can't talk so I got the two pork pineapple tacos state taco and they Adam God [Music] some Diego Pop's mom tacos Anantha school of sauces this pink sauce is a sour cream heat and garlic and it is super good and to continue our Scottsdale stuff your face fast we're gonna go get more coffee we got our caffeine and we're ready to go our next stop is Sedona Arizona so our time in Scottsdale was really short but we will be back on the last day of our trip so we're gonna be in Sedona the rest of the day and then tomorrow really excited because we hear it's gorgeous there so we're gonna do some hiking our plans for tonight maybe our very up in the air cuz it might be raining so we're gonna see how it is when we get there hopefully squeeze in a hike but if not find something else fun to do I guess [Music] we made it to Sedona and look at the view from our Airbnb how excited is everyone on a scale of one to ten twelve so our original plan was to hike to Cathedral Rock at sunset but on the way here it was really rainy and we weren't really sure if we could do it still so we went back and forth on the plan what should we do what hike but here we are ready to go here we are hiking Cathedral Rock so whew it looks like we might have a small window so we're gonna go do it so this hike is like one point four miles roundtrip but it's a really steep uphill so apparently it's like climb rocks and stuff so I'm already out of breath from vlogging and hiking so we'll see how it goes [Music] [Music] [Music] so the hiker actually wasn't that bad you definitely have to climb on some rocks but it was pretty easy pretty quick definitely have us breathing and we actually had the whole place to ourselves right now there's no one up here which is crazy I think their rain scared some people often yeah so far nothing slick so yeah it's a short short hike for a awesome payoff yeah Sedona we love it great start awesome start look at this view [Music] we found this awesome rock tower so if you are at the view point when you get to the end of the trail just go to the left and then there's a big rock go to the right around it and here it is and no one's here this is so great alright headed down to the car down from Cathedral Rock the walk down is not that bad so far we thought it might be really slick but we haven't fallen yet there Pat we've had a few minor slips but no Falls so been dodging the rain though yeah it's raining a little bit but it has not poured on us yet either so we're really glad we made this decision to come here I don't think we would have had time for our backup hike so we're gonna save that for tomorrow we did it that's the end of day one had a lot of yummy food had a really fun hike it's awesome so much fun already tomorrow we're gonna do two hikes one for sunrise and then we're gonna head to the Grand Canyon I cannot wait I am so pumped can't wait to see it look at this here look at this video ready [Music] you
