last video I took An ancestry test basically I got a DNA kit from 23 and me I spit in it a lot I sent it back in and I find out I'm not 100% Chinese I'm actually 8.5% Korean also I'm 8% Mongolian of course this really surprise me because my whole life I mean my parents are Chinese my grandparents are Chinese and I thought my my whole life I'm Chinese but to actually get that incestry report and have it tell me that I'm really only uh 82 something per Chinese blew my mind I guess it really shouldn't be too surprising because I've always loved Korean barbecue and what's so cool about this trip is that and I mentioned this in the last video 23 and me is actually sponsoring this video and my entire trip so tonight I'm going to get on a plane to so South Korea I'm going to stay there for about a week and then I am going to Mongolia and what's different about traveling to Korea this time compared to last time is that this time I'm actually going to explore my Heritage a culture that I am a part of although it is only you know 8.4% but still it it just feels different in Mongolia I actually never even considered going to Mongolia until after this DNA test and I realized that my great great great great great I don't know great grandfather could have been get con so this is more of a ancestry tourism if you will a a deeper connection I just I don't know it's kind of like I'm going to explore a part of me that I never knew about and and that is just so exciting and you know what else is cool now when I go to Korea or Mongolia and they ask me hey are you Korean or Mongolian I can economy section it's 1:30 a.m. right now and I oo plan's pretty this is like the wood cabin of airplanes the decor of this plane it's very Brown It's got this I don't know Prett Bunch ER fake wood wallpaper not the most bright and welcoming cabin this is premium economy seats getting nice room for rest I don't know what this button does okay so that's pretty cool push this button here I show you guys on the seat next to me cuz I don't think anyone's sitting here so this is the first button that comes up think push this button here still haven't figured this whole thing out when I push this button like K we climb quite a bit also when I booked this ticket this roll was empty so we'll see if we get lucky matter because it's not like you can raise these armrests and just sleep across this row oh thank you yay flip-flops there's music in the bathroom feel like dancing this is the first airplane bathroom I've ever been on that has music playing it's almost enjoyable being here dinner or breakfast I don't know what I'm eating but meal is served wait actually handang second all right now now the meal is served and it is POR that looks like it's a little bloody yogurt and fruit plate oo nice and toasty warm let's see what we got here ooh this is like a Taiwan special and I think we got a little bit of pickle vegetables there and a cue little carrot that tasted like I ate some sort of beef paste might be one of the only times in my life I'm I'm actually excited about the vegetables instead of the beef that's on my plate I think for this meal I'm going to focus on the veggies and fruit mom will be proud all right we just need to really cover this thing back up cuz that was just love some ice cream thank you enjoy hey thank you one of the perks of being an adult you can trade your dinner for ice cream anytime you want only problem is like oh it's a solid piece of ice this is not going well you know what whatever this is about [Music] survival it's around 5 a.m. in taipe I got a 2hour really shle over then down to S oo nice breakfast customade noodles [Music] kji it's not bad for airport noodles [Music] M that's a darn good tea egg wow this this Lounge is like a bat cave it's amazing it's a chamen sausage eggs like beef noodle soup for you here beef noodle soup and a dundun noodle soup but I accidentally ordered two beef noodle soups it's okay I'll eat them both it's got all these like cold dishes that I love this is some tin te eggs yes please rice this is the same thing I had on the pl soy milk dim some an airport lounge beef Asian Potato Salad it's actually I actually like this stuff a lot God buns soup up things more buns cool they give you Xbox one here to play [Music] with this the menu and it's like a it's glitter it's glitter in the front um for breakfast we have oo eight treasure Meats uh sauce noodle sounds good to me got some crab shaay or I can have zucchini eggs baked and cheese with bacon let's go for the noodles this is only 2 and 1/2 hour flight so they're only serving one meal here man I wish I could stay for lunch stir fried seafood and tofu and black bean sauce that sounds really awesome let me show you around really big TV screen same you know wood wallpaper thingy and this is like little storage space with your remote headphones you have a little secondary storage space for your passports and wallet and miscellaneous stuff and this is cool check it out everything here is touchscreen this plane is the b777 300 and I think it's a fairly new so everything here is just touch control this the tray table it's actually quite a lot of space here I feel like this plane has more space than the Asiana and also the Tha Airways business class I just realized as I'm boarding that I was in business class didn't it didn't even say on my plane ticket that I was in business class and I didn't book business class I booked premium economy the whole way to to Korea so I got upgraded without even knowing like the guy never even told me at the counter that I was upgraded so this is really awesome because now I got to show you guys the premium economy and business class with China Airlines kind of wish I was upgraded for the first leg of the trip the longer leg of the trip but can't complain [Music] you good for you good for you for for for you good for you good for you just went through customs so ano welcome to Korea I guess I'm home overall pretty smooth trip my first time flying with China Airlines a great experience the plane was neat the seats were comfy everybody was so nice I was able to get a great nice sleep and premium economy then they upgraded me to business class was not to love all right let's go to the hotel [Music] [Music] wow this is a super tiny Hotel what you see is what you get just a tiny little hotel room at least I get a bathrobe slippers of course every Asian Hotel and of course I remember this thing from last time the Escape ladder in case you need to you know repel out of your window ooh cookie oh this is kind of cool they give you the weather forecast for tomorrow oh cool a letter Michael CH I am staying at the Grand Hotel Mong and they said there is a mini bar that's free let me see what's inside oh cool wow fancy cookie some almonds some apple juice water some brownies cookies candy tiny bathroom electric toilet of course I booked this hotel in Mone because it's really close to all the Subways I wanted access to also I wanted a place where if I just went downstairs I could have food and for this little tiny hotel room it's not even cheap this is a little over $100 a night and I actually found a lot of other hotels that look fairly nice for about 5060 $70 a night but this is the only one with the location I really wanted all right first thing take take a shower second thing I need to take a nap see you soon hi good good morning I think it's it's 4:30 in the morning and I just woke up because I am starving yesterday got into the hotel and I just couldn't stay awake and now I'm I'm feeling it I'm feeling the need for some Korean food in what like tons of tomatoes right there where we're going to go ahead and skip that all right there's not a lot of food options at 4:30 in the morning although in New York City most of of the Korean restaurants are open 24 hours a [Music] day guy seems to be looking for food as well although I could really use some Korean barbecue right now yeah I eat barbecue at 4:00 in the morning who doesn't I think what I'm going to have to settle for is some 711 instant noodles this place is open wow it's got a lot of stuff ooh Pizza cane this is a lot of coffee think I'm going to get one of these cantaloup milks and of course a lot of ramen and this guy looks like he's really happy about this Ramen so [Music] sure never thought my first meal in Korea would be instant noodles but hey when you're hungry you're hungry wow this is spicy that's good I think I cooked this wrong because I added the spice pack before I added the water I think you're supposed to do it afterwards but still T good maybe should have came with a straw oh this is [Music] yum oh that's good all right I think the perfect thing to do after the food is uh I'm going to go to bed again I guess that's it for my first day in Korea good night
